History
Established in 2000.
In the year 2000, Jambalaya J’s was born in a former old bookstore in center city of Reading, Pa. after two years we learned that the old building was going to be razed. We moved to our present location, inside a highly successful Farmers Market in 2003 and have remained there ever since.

Upon discovering and enjoying the Music, Food, and Culture of Louisiana and New Orleans. Numerous visits in the early 1990’s convinced Jambalaya J. that he had to expand his horizons and start his own Little N’awlins style Dixie Kitchen, in his hometown of Reading, Pa. So he cooked up these authentic recipes that he would gather up on every trip down to The Big Easy. Every saturday night was spent perfecting the various recipes. New Orleans cooking, music playing, singing, dancing, and of course beverages. What fun it was getting started! And all these years later and Still Cookin’ for our faithful customers.
