Average shop ordered a large Italian sub with everything hots and oil sub was made shy of meat and had way to much hots on it felt like I was eating buffalo chicken wings … I’m sure the roast beef is good like every other roast beef sub shop lol usually I’m completely full after a large sub. still feeling like I need an extra bite

Everything has always been great but the last pizza I got from here was torched on the bottom. Of course I didn’t notice until I got home.

I STRONGLYRECOMMENDTO check your bag before leaving with a «To Go» order. They have repeatedly thrown foreign and/or otherwise Undertrained people on the phone or in the Kitchen. I ordered a Super Roast Beef(Their bread and butter item) with EXTRASAUCE. I got a sandwich that didn’t even qualify for regular sauce! It was really dry! If you can’t even train your new person on what regular, extra, and not enough sauce is on your biggest selling item, then it only reflects on very poor management. After a long day at work, we occasionally treat ourselves to a «to go» order as a consolation for a tough day and because we are just so tired to throw dinner together. Getting an order this wrong and wrong in other ways on several other occasions, I STRONGLYRECOMMEND that you take the time to open your bag and CHECKYOURORDERBEFORE leaving their store. It’s not enough to say: «We’ll give you a free sandwich next time»! It’s too late and not the point! You ruined my dining experience! It might be 20 – 30 minutes by the time I get home, settle in, check my mail, feed my pet, and finally relax and open my sandwich… My ultimate small joy after a long day… Oh crap! It’s messed up!!! I don’t want to trek back for a 45 minute round trip to pick up a corrected order!!! And I don’t want to wait for someone to come out in 30 – 45 minutes to deliver a corrected order… It’s too late!!! I’m pissed off! There’s nothing you can do now to make up for it and make me happy!!! Get it right the first time!!! LISTEN, WRITEDOWNEXACTLYWHAT’S ORDERED, READTHEORDER, and DOUBLECHECKYOURORDER!!! HOWTORUN A FASTFOODBUSINESS101!!!

Yum, Yum and Yum… I am only giving 4 stars because I have had only certain items on the menu, but those items were gooood! Their jumbo roastbeef sandwich on an onion roll is massive. I am not positive but it looks like they make cook their own roast beef and to be honest it tastes that way too. It is tender and tasty. I also had their chicken kabob salad. That is a healthy choice if you are watching calories. I want to say it is at least 4 – 6 oz of chicken on the kabob. They make it to order so it is hot and they do not use too much salt. I have also had their tuna salad which is good too. French fries are the skinny fries and made to order. They were hot and not over salted. I am fan…

Finally stopped and tried it. Got the Roast beef meal which is large roast beef sandwich, fries and a can of soda. Under $ 10. Horseradish sauce, pickles, onion and cheese in the sandwich. Fries were hot, sandwich was not.(Cheese not even melted) The sandwich had a ton of meat on it, done perfectly and delish! When I bit into the sandwich there was so much meat on it, it shot out the other end. So good! A large sandwich is huge! Good portion all around. Food is made to order but fast.

Awesome. Super beef was great with mayo, horseradish and pickles. Reminds me of the amazing beef sandwiches I’d get in Buffalo, NY

This is just my kind of place — the roast beef shop that I grew up with. There aren’t too many of them up in my neck of the woods so when I venture back into my homeland state, I seek them out. Jimbo’s Roast Beef is right by a family member’s place so when I go to visit, I always hit this place up and bring local sustenance as my offering: Never fails to please. A junior three-way for me, fried scallops for her. I have to say — I’m not a scallop fan, but I actually LIKE the scallops here. They are always well done(fried), and not underdone and mushy like most places tend to serve. Their roast beef is exactly how I used to get them — it’s a North Shore staple or something. Can’t go wrong with a steak bomb or chicken parm either. Tourist Note: North Shore roast beef joints are a local favorite. If you’re entering a North Shore roast beef joint for the first time, order a junior three way — it means: cheese, sauce, mayo. Every roast beef shop from Boston and on up the coastline will know what it means, and then you won’t keep the angry mob behind you waiting at the counter while you try to figure out what the heck to order.(‘Massachusettsians’ get a little impatient when waiting for their roast beefs and steak bombs — it’s better not to make the natives restless.) Say«junior three way», and they’ll think you’re just one of the locals. As long as you say it correctly: «JunIAH» Three Way Chicken«PAHHHHM» A strong and nasally pitch to accentuate the ever-missing letter«R» in the ‘Massachusettsians’ native alphabet will earn you respect among your fellow Roast Beef joint dwelling peers. At the very least, you’ll avoid the inevitable eye roll by avoiding any out-of-state detection. I jest. Another note: a small fry is just fine. At almost all of these shops, a large fry is enough to feed Ecuador for a month. It’s fast food — yeah — but it’s not McDonalds. The small is already supersized.

I stop in quite frequently. Friendly staff, everything is clean, and the food is never a disappointment. Their chicken kabob wraps are fantastic, I definitely reccomend this place to everyone.

Great food. Always good… it’s also very prompt. It’s a great go to sub shop. The young lady behind the counter can be friendlier though. She is strictly business to the point of being cold. I understand she is working but she could maybe smile a little bit

Was near by, stopped in for lunch, first I noticed how clean, nice furniture, staff were friendly, wore matching shirts, very clean bathroom. Food was moderately priced for a pizza, sub, Roast Beast place. Had bacon, Hamburg and tomato pizza. Light risen crust, fresh made, hand made dough, all ingredients were fresh, and very stringy cheese, nice! 1st time I’ve been, have no issues with going back or recommending.

Food and service were adequate. I was looking for a good sandwich, I found it. Generous portion and good BBQ sauce.

What WASNT wrong with this place? Food took a full 30 minutes to reach us and when it finally did it wasn’t what I ordered! Also noticed they weren’t wearing gloves while preparing the food even after handling cash. Gross! Also the staff was totally disorganized and the manager was yelling at the cook and delivery person the entire time we waited. Really bad experience.

Stopped here and had a roast beef sandwhich… good stuff, cannot complain. Prices were fair, menu was pretty extensive. If you’re in the area it’s not a bad idea for a quick meal.

I’ve been to Jimbo’s a couple times for take out and sit-in. This is a great place for salads, burgers & sandwiches on-the-go. It is not the cleanest, but it’s very simple, and drop-in & out kind of place. Most importantly is the quality of the food. You can’t really go wrong with a salad and add your own ingredients to a burger or sandwich. The staff is decently friendly(could be better), and the food was prepared quickly. I would recommend this place for locals and quick lunch breaks.

Ok idk what happen to the service I enjoyed the 1st time but it has def went down. I went back to get a steak bomb. The girl that took the order was not friendly and when my food came out she didn’t even say anything to me nor looked @ me and just placed it on the counter. LMAO. If ur not happy @ where u work go do something else. I only order frm this place b/c it’s close to my job. Anyway, I had chicken wings delivered to me. Delivery was quick but the chicken was so so so so bland, no flavor @ all. 1st time I tried the wings, I loved it and that’s y I ordered again but too bad the 2nd time of ordering them thr were no flavor @ all. –Were they in a rush? U think they wld treat a reg customer good? Nope! So im all set. U just lost a customer. Goodluck!

OK… so this isn’t L’ Espalier, but that’s not keeping me from dropping 5 stars here. For what it is, Jimbo’s is probably the best $ 7 I’ve spent on anything since moving to Massachusetts. We just moved out here from California last month. I had never lived in Massachusetts before, so the whole Boston-area Roast Beef thing was new to me. I just didn’t quite get why every other strip mall had«XYZ’s Famous Roast Beef.» Always famous. Always roast beef. Now I suppose each region has it’s ubiquitous specialty: California has its Taco Shops and El Grullenses, the South has its BBQ, Nebraska has its Runza(oh yes, Runza), Philly has its cheesesteak shops… so I suppose the North Shore has its Roast Beef. I guess I had always assumed that it would just be all about seafood here, so it was hard for me to see the roast beef connection. For a mid-westerner like me, the mention of roast beef usually elicits memories of Arby’s and horsey sauce and that awful loaf of reconstituted smeat they slice up for their sandwiches. So I just didn’t get why people could get so excited about the stuff… I finally broke down and got one. Jimbo’s is just a 5 minute drive from our place, so I stopped by to pick up something for lunch. A super beef with everything but tomatoes(for some reason I’m not a fan and never have been). Let me just lay out what«everything» means here: cheese, bbq sauce, mayo, onions, lettuce, and the kicker, pickles. Oh, the pickles… I seriously think the pickles are the 5th star. All of this with more roast beef than I have seen outside of a deli counter at Stop and Shop/Food Lion/Safeway/Giant Eagle/Meijer. On an onion roll. I don’t know what it is, but all of this combines in your mouth to become something incredible. It’s not foie gras, but its really something amazing. So now I understand. And I am thankful.

When your in the mood for a Roast Beef… Large was $ 4.75, very reasonable for the amount of meat they pile into this sandwhich. I’ve also had the subs here that are around $ 5 and filled with delicious cold cuts or tuna. Staff is reasonably friendly. Prices are good. They also have pizza which is ok. Overall this place is a good alternative to fast food. I gotta say — the fried seafood looks amazing! I really want to go back and try the scallops and other items. They only have Ipswich clams too. I’m a fan.

Jimbos is pretty friggin awesome. great roast beef. the one thing i didn’t like was the roast beef dinner compared to what is offered up the street at Liberty Bell in Stoneham. You just get more for your money, there. Jimbo’s, however, is by no means a bad choice and unarguably is the best roast beef in Reading. «Jimmy’s» was good for cheap pizza, and roast beef, but they burnt down. RIP.

Great roast beef! Been here a bunch and every time the beef is fat free and tender. Tried a few subs there last two times we went and we found the subs to be loaded with stuffing, steak and cheese was great, tuna had so much tuna we saved ½ for lunch the next day. Now that’s what we get there all the time! For people looking for the healthy choices, try their chicken kabobs on a salad or pita. You don’t even need the dressing. The chicken is moist and wonderfully marinated. Ran into a friend the last time and they go there just for the calzones. Haven’t tried those yet though… the subs are just that good. Polite and courteous staff. Glad its here because we use to drive to Melrose just to get roast beef. This place definitely competes with the long time beef joints like Billy’s and Bill and Bobs. Give them a try. But watch the time. They close a bit early some nights.
