History
Established in 2003.
Company founder, CJ, a Southern guy with a love of BBQ, food, friends and fun loves to entertain guests at his home and each summer hosted a large cook out at his home. A neighbor told him that he should approach the Sovereign Center arena F&B staff to try and get his BBQ into the arena. A meeting was setup, BBQ was sampled and a subcontractor food agreement was offered and Pig Pit was born!
Since then, Pig Pit has participated in numerous fairs, festivals and special events aside from serving NASCAR fans at various tracks in the South.
Pig Pit offers 3 mouth watering BBQ sauces for sale at our retail store along with our Eastern Carolina Style Mopping Mix and 2 wing sauces!

BK joined CJ as co-owner of Pig Pit late in 2010. After a number of years spent in public facility food management, BK had a desire to do something for himself by owning or co-owning his own business and CJ afforded him just that opportunity.
