Awesome! Love the sauce and it’s consistently great.

Possibly the worst Italian sub ever. No prosciutto, substandard cold cuts and loads with hot relish(which I never asked for). And who puts bell peppers on an Italian sub and toasts it? Baaaad. Pizza was bready and the cheese pulled right off(cheap cheese). No cornmeal under pizza either. Place needs some attention to detail for sure.

Being fairly new to the Reading area, I had to experiment with different pizza/sub shops to find my new town to-go. This place is it! I have only ever done delivery, but they’re food is really great quality, the prices are fair, and they always deliver faster than I expect. So happy I have this place down the street.

I am 32, grew up in Reading. I love Pizza World, I take my kid there and we always sit up by the window in the front. They always treat us kindly with respect and usually make a couple of light jokes and have fun, «He gonna eat all that… He can’t eat all that» we joke. When I am really hungry I order a Small Extra Special Pizza for myself and can barely eat half. Each slice is like a 6″ sub if you were to get a large. It is surprisingly not heavy/gross, it is heavy but just right heavy, again it is perfect if you are really hungry. They put all the peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meat on the bottom and put the cheese on top so it keeps it together, freakin’ genius! All the pizza is good if your just looking for a regular pizza. For your lighter fare, I would suggest a Chicken Kabob Salad, Wrap or Sub. All are delicious, everyone I know raves about it. It is best with the dressing that comes with it on the side. Again, these are just my favorites but experiment and give them your business, you will be happy you did. BTW don’t get bent out of shape if they are short on the phone, does it really matter? They are busy and as long as the food is good who cares. They are always nice to me but I am not that sensitive that I need service with a smile, and a «thank you» when I order but then again I am from Reading and we are tough and have thick skin. Not sure anyone on the planet is as cool as us.

they have realy good food, and the owner is a very nice guy. but i recently went in and ordered some food and the person that took my order was not very pleasent. this is ok people have some bad days but with all the choices on the street people should be met with a smile and not look like your bothering the women taking your order. so i probley will try other places for a while, its a shame if one person costs you a customer how many others have been lost to rude people.

Pizza World is without a doubt a hidden jewel. You will never find a cleaner place. The food is always constantly solid and service is quick. Family owned and operated. Always a favorite of mine!!!

Great pizza, best around in a competitive pizza area. It’s Greek pizza and the crust is unreal. I would recommend eating here.

Great for side orders, Good fries, mozzarella sticks, salads, etc. Delivery takes a little while though but I’m guessing its’ due to their staff being changed so often so I don’t hold it against them really. I’d say it’s one of the best places in Reading and is very reasonably priced which is rare in this area.

Easily the best pizza in the area. Love this place — it’s the only place I’ll order from. Not only is the pizza amazing, but the rest of the menu is delicious as well! Highly, highly recommend!

We tried Pizza World recently and came away disappointed. This pizza is Greek style, and I am a huge fan of that flavor normally. The issue was not the Greek approach but the fact that the pizza was overdone, and the crust was actually blackened around the outer ridge of the pizza. Pizza is one of those things like meeting new people for the first time. You only get one chance to make first impressions. Based on that we will likely not try this place a second time.

This is a great Greek style pizza joint. For all the reviewers on here who seem to prefer Italian style pizza, I don’t know why they would go to a Greek place. This place has great chicken and steak kabob salads too. I eat here about once a week and I have found the service to be second to none. From what I have seen the kitchen is exceptionally clean with the employees changing their gloves very often and no built up grease like you see at some places. Also if you don’t like whats on the TV just ask for the remote and put on whatever you want. They have been happy to do this for me in the past.

Up until now this was my favorite place to get a grilled chicken kabob salad from in Reading. Not anymore. We ordered take out last night and I found a small light colored hair in my salad which I overlooked as I had eaten half of it already. I took the other half for lunch today. I just threw it out. It had a dark curly hair in it which looked a lot like a pubic hair. All set. Never again!

Great pizza, esp their buffalo chicken pizza. Delivery is fast and friendly. I usually make my girlfriend call to order so I don’t know how they are over the phone but she’s never complained. Overall, we are very happy with Pizza World and we’re pretty picky about our pizza and fry selections. I am only giving 4 stars because they aren’t open on Sundays which some pretty prime lazy, movie, recover from a hangover with pizza time.

My husband grew up in Reading and has raved about this place. The food is good — love the chicken kabob. What I have noticed that really bugs me time and time again is the absent thank you. I order ahead and always get a «please hold» and an immediate placement on hold — what if i didn’t want to hold(LOL). I guess I can forgive that — they do seem to be busy, but the last three times I have called in my order they repeat the order to me and say«is that all» … «15 minutes». Then hang up. No — thank you, no good bye, nothing. Just a hang up. Then when picking it up — no one has ever thanked me. With money being as tight as it is and the optons out there — I guess I just figured the«home town local guy» would stand apart from the chains on customer service.

Great peeps, and great food. I’ve had the chicken kabob salad here for no joke, 10 years and it is easily the best in the 1867. Great spot to grab some solid eats while you read the Herald and watch some SportsCenter.

Extra cheese slice is kind expensive… $ 3.75 but it was really good. French fries were great. Crunchy and hot. Sweet potato fries were not thick enough… So.basically it was a little more than meh It’s a lot bigger than it looks outside. and they were friendly too. hated what they had on the tv(sports) and the décor isn’t anything to write home about. A local place with a local feel.

A house divided. My husband gives this place a hands down 5 star. He loves the pizza. Me, its a bit sweet and I don’t care for the ‘greek style’ crust with a bit too much crunch. Reminds me of stale bread. Got subs here a few times, really light on the stuffing so order larges especially if your getting steak and cheese. The staff are great though and they really are a community business so yeah for my husband and hopefully a few more morsels of meat will hit the sub roll next time.

A frequent lunch stop for me. I usually pop in for a slice or two, sometimes a sub or sandwhich. This is a greek style pizza joint, with greesy pizza on a slightly crunchy crust, just the way I like it. This is no gourmet food. Service is good and friendly. They always have slices ready, and heat them for you. The subs are not as good as other area stops, so I’d stick with the pizza. They have a few Heralds sitting around to read, and a TV in the dining area, although it’s usually on Fox News. I guess they lean to the right in the old country. They deliver, if you prefer your pizza without the politics.
