Perfect place for the family or even date night if your hockey fans. Even though the Royals lost we still had a great time trying a couple new beers and enjoying the crab fries from Chickie and Pete’s.

Great family entertainment. Got hooked the first time I went with my daughter. We just renewed our 3rd full season ticket package. Does cost much.

Great entertainment for everyone! Not just for die-hard hockey fans. In between periods«slapshot» the Royals mascot comes out and shoots T-shirts out to the youngsters. They have a Stoudts beer room along with yuengling. Before and during the game you can visit«the corner» located at ice level for a full service bar that also serves liquor. The food is good and not ridiculously expensive. The fans are friendly and passionate and the staff is exceptional and very friendly and helpful. Tickets are always available and compared to Hershey and Philadelphia are inexpensive. I prefer Reading to Hershey hands-down and it’s a lot more easy on the wallet. The royals always field a competitive team, and it shows. John Quick the all-star goalie for the L.A. Kings got his start in reading for the Royals. If you are looking for great entertainment, competitive hockey, and a great atmosphere check out Royals Hockey!

My wife and I had a blast at the Royals game. It was fast-moving and entertaining on and off the ice; the crowd was really into it. Plus, the concession stands had a lot of different yummy options.

The Royals are a minor league hockey team who compete in the ECHL hockey league. Their home arena is the Sovereign Center. In the short existence of the organization, the team has done well and consistently makes the league playoffs. It is also one of the league leaders in attendance so it definitely has the support of the local community. I’ve been to a few games while visiting family and also went to see them in Charlotte when Charlotte played in the ECHL but Charlotte moved up to the AHL so I no longer have that opportunity. Still the Royals seem like a great organization to support in the Reading area. And seeing one of their games is still a great bargain for a night out and good for hockey fans of all ages.
