Established in 1982.
Shades On Wheels started out with one location to help customers select blinds, shades, shutters and draperies in the comfort of their own home. The company evolved to six independently owned companies by 2014. This Shades On Wheels location was specifically established to service the Newton, Acton, Concord and Andover areas of Massachusetts.

Meet Rico Iafrate, the owner and operator of the Newton and MetroWest Shades On Wheels Franchise.
Rico was born in a small town near Naples, Italy and moved to Boston with his family when he was a year old. He grew up in Boston, went to Brighton High, and after working construction for a few years, he purchased the Acton and shortly thereafter, the Newton Franchise territories of Shades on Wheels. He has been in business now for close to 20 years.
More than 80% of Rico’s business consists of repeat customers and their referrals. When you call Rico, you get his cell phone. Rico will help you select the right blinds, measure and install.
