Established in 2008.

Durango RV Resort opened for business on August 8th and is located in the Northern Sacramento Valley’s historic town of Red Bluff. Nestled on the incredible Sacramento River 2 –½ hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area, you will find a modern 174 unit RV Resort on 50 plus acres. Clean lovely friendly. Manicured, trees a bit small. Good room around the pads. Slightly noisy from highway. Needs better signs for direction to find it. Excellent. Not out in the country but excellent facilities. Gate closes at 8 PM and you have to use call box at gate to get in. Office closes at 10:45 PM; if you are later than that you can’t get in.

Red Bluff: Beautiful and well appointed RV park.
A golf cart escorted us to our site after we checked in at the front desk. The staff made sure we were ok in setting up camp before motoring off. Someone came back right away when I phoned the front desk about a problem with the cable tv connection. The grounds are clean, beautiful, and are just as pictured on their website. The rods of the fence surrounding their Pet Area area will corrals small dogs with head bigger than about 3″ in diameter. I was impressed with seeing their onsite, self serve Dog Wash. Showering facilities were modern and spacious. Rates rose the closer your site was to the center fountain or if they had river views. There are community gas fire pits, a pretty swimming pool, and large tv viewing room. A garbage bag was provided for free curbside trash pickup from your campsite. Pretty river trails are easily assessible. A beautiful facility. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed just the one night.
NOTE
Be sure to have ear plugs as a train passes by, with horn blarring at about 2:35am on a Saturday night. Freeway traffic constantly buzzes by as I-​5 runs right alongside. Noise factor resulted in loss of a star. There is a large discount grocery store in the strip mall acriss the street.

This place is truly a 5 star. Where else do you get a golf cart escort to your rv space? Complete with a personalized showing of your spot? This is great. Super friendly staff. Very clean showers. Big spaces. Love the sound of the frogs in the evening. Some traffic noise but you’ll get used to it. Very secure and safe facility. Grocery store right across the street is very convenient! Only one thing… careful following driving directions. It can get a little confusing when turning off of the main road. will be back in January 2017

Grants Pass, OR
We continue to stop here on our trips south from Oregon to Arizona. Take the freeway noise with a grain of salt. The park is located next to Hwy 5. If you do not want noise, find a park an hour away. This is by far the #1 RV park in the Red Bluff/​Redding area. We’ve been RVing for 20 years and across this country. You will be treated like royalty here.

By far one of the best RV parks I’ve seen. The staff are friendly & professional. The park is very well taken care of. The club house is outstanding. The pool area is outstanding. Pretty close to I-​5, which is good for the traveler, but a little noisy. We parked near the Sacramento River which was nice. I highly recommend this park.

Nice park, clean and well maintained. A little on the pricy side but everything is included. Nice well maintained pool and pet friendly. The only bad thing is there is a little traffic noise from the freeway if you stay on the far right side of the park (the right side as you enter the park). I stayed there over the labor day weekend and I will be back.

Hello:
In summary, this place has potential of being 10 out of 10 with only a few items needed. The location is really not a destination, its more a stopping off place on the way to elsewhere. The exception is Lassen, worth a visit and only an hour away.
The park is clean, large sites, nice roads, very nice facilities. The pool is really nice but I had a weird taste of chemicals when swimming, this could have been all the sun sprays and cream people were wearing… not sure.
We had a river spot. There is a walkway that exits the park and goes to placed unexplored. What seemed weird is that the opening was not secured so I can only assume open to anyone who ventures in. Than said, we had no undesirable encounters.
The staff are friendly, professional and courteous.
What keeps me from giving 5 stars:
1) Weeds and general upkeep on landscape. At first glance the place is great but, when walking around, you see weeds growing around curbs and in the beds. This would be an easy fix for a lanscape crew.
2) The buildings has spider webs and under the eves. A simple brushing or spraying with a pest control company would fix this.
3) The trash management is weird. They don’t have trash cans. Instead, you put small bags out on the road and they are picked up. They are usually gone in an hour unless you put something out overnight. Weird, not bad, just different. EDIT — They do have a few cans but very few. The primary trash disposal is as described.
4) Seems to have many of long term residents. This did not impact my trip but I prefer to be with other people on vacation when I am on vacation. They probably need the revenue from the long term folk.
Again, really nice place but with minor changes, could be a 10 out of 10. Wish I could give 4.5 stars!

A nice facility with a big pool and a pet wash! We’ve stayed there many times and have long regarded it as the Hearst Castle of RV parks. Unfortunately, our most recent trip found the park in not as good shape as before. Bathrooms weren’t as clean, the grounds were not as carefully tended (we understand the yellowing lawns due to the drought, but it looked as if they had given up on weeding as well), and all the little details weren’t as sharp as before. Hope they pick up the maintenance as this park can be truly special.

This is one of our favorite parks. The employees are all very nice, the park is clean and beautiful looking. It is nice and quiet, and the sites overlooking the river are top notch. Pet friendly and they have curbside trash and recycle pick up every morning. This area gets very hot in the summer months, but they have a beautiful pool and you get a nice breeze of the river. We were staying one weekend and the first day there I received a call my father was in the hospital, we had to leave right away and the office was very gracious and gave us a certificate to use at a later date so we would not lose our money, without me even asking for a refund. Love this park!

We pulled in for one night, Good Friday, to find, as I would have suspected, that this beautiful resort is very popular with families with younger children and RV’ers looking like they could have been the loud party type, on at least this, a holiday weekend. Never heard the loud music or carrying on that I was concerned about. This appears to be a park that enforces its rules. The resort is just that. Beautiful with lots of extras. Many of the premium sites — gorgeous — could wind up being buddy sites so check with the office if this concerns you. The office staff is great as is everything about this resort. Very likely the nicest in the state of Jefferson.

What a nice oasis. We found it online and looked like the best in the area and it did not disappoint. Spotless restrooms, pool and spa along with well maintained grounds. All pads are concrete wide and full hookups with a good wi-​fi. Only thing I would suggest is ask for a site further away from I-​5 as we had. Easy access does have that one drawback but still an outstanding resort. Looks like it would be great for groups an they have a main area for gathering and another area for eating and BBQ’s. Best park for many miles. Great pet areas. Happy RVing.

Over the past year I have enjoyed staying at the Durango! It’s a 5 star resort right off the freeway. Perfect sites, beautiful river, we have had events here and Crystina the event coordinator always goes above and beyond to make everything perfect! I have to say, it’s the family of employees at Durango that make this home away from home the perfect place for your RV clubs event, or just a place to relax for the night. The grounds are kept impeccably clean, the restrooms and showers are also always like there is a doorman there to clean up right after each person. If you want to get much more than just a bang for your buck because the prices are unbelievable. All of this is why I rate Durango RV resort with 5 stars. The management is there to make sure your stay is perfect so never hesitate to ask for their help with anything. I’m handicapped and Scott who escorts you right to your site always asks if you need help hooking up your rig! Now that’s 5 star service with a smile! Thank you Durango for another week of fun!

It is a RV PARK, Just because it says resort does not make it one. Had a run in with
a rude customer service rep, the manager hid in his office and would not even come out. And on the other side of the brick wall, lives some one who burns his stinky garbage. On the other side of the chain link fence is a path down to the river where
you can find all kinds of Interesting people. They have a lot of extended stay people living there, who have no problem starting up their vehicles and revving the engines
early in the morning as they leave for work. I could GO ON and ON. My opinion STINKY NOISY PLACE. NEVER AGAIN

We were looking for a place to take the family for Thanksgiving in the RV and finally decided on coming to Red Bluff and staying at the Durango RV resort. Seeing that it received Good Sams 10÷10÷10 award helped us a little in our decision. After staying 4 nights I have to admit that the award was well deserved. The place was immaculate, the bathroom clean and it appears cleaned through out the day. Some of the things that impressed me were:
1. The rec room/​clubhouse had plenty of fun board games, nice ping pong table, tv and fire place, for those times when you just want to hang out with space.
2. Bath rooms were super clean.
3. Close proximity to stores and the river.
4. Garbage fairies, seems like every time we set out our trash it was gone quickly!
There was not much that I didn’t like, but I do have to mention the following:
1. Dog runs were not really runs, but small areas of dirt or sand or something like that, not much area for playing.
2. They didn’t honor a good sam discount because we reserved a premium river site and they said they are in high demand, but there were like 4 empty spots the whole time we were there. Also, we check in after getting there and Unilocal had a 15 percent off first night, when I went to claim it, they said it was too late and would offer a gift certificate for the difference, while that was nice, I didn’t take it, Just kinda peeved at that point.
We loved this place as a family and will love to come back again sometime.

Great RV park. Ultra clean and very nice, both the grounds and the bathroom areas. Very helpful and friendly staff.
THE ONLY THING WE DID NOT LIKE was our original space, which I think was #101. That corner spot and the entire row are up against a fence and what’s on the other side of the fence is not too impressive. Next to space 101 (on the other side of the fence) there was a bunch of trash someone had dumped, and we saw a few people come and go from that area’s dirt/​weed lot on the other side of the fence, even though an employee told us there shouldn’t be anybody hanging out over there. Who knows what they were doing over there…
Anyway, we asked if we could change and move to another space and the staff happily moved us without a problem, to a space we felt more comfortable at.
Durango RV Resort has a lot of features we didn’t have time to take advantage of but I’d say this place is definitely an RV «resort» rather than just an RV «park». We will definitely stay there again next time we’re in Red Bluff !

Very nice, new and clean. Well maintained. Nice, friendly staff and great amenities. On the Sacramento river and very close to shopping. Some freeway noise by not that bad.
Kid friendly but still very quiet.
I would definitely recommend this place!
