If you’re looking for a dentist in Redding I want to take a minute and share with you a wonderful experience I had with Dr. Golles and his team of tooth-​fairies Wednesday night I couldn’t sleep, and had to lay in bed sitting up– due to really terrible throbbing tooth/​jaw pain! I called my first thing Thursday morning to get in to see Dr. Golles and he was able to take me by 9 AM! After a in-​depth consultation, x-​rays and visual he told me my tooth was fine there was nothing wrong and it was likely a sinus infection!!! I was stunned-​absolutely shocked. Apparently the sinus nerve lays right on the roots of top teeth so when it’s inflamed it can cause acute tooth pain! I was thankful I didn’t need a root canal or some other scary procedure and thankful for his recommendation to take a regular decongestant, even though I was still in pain, he said to call him if it worsened and he would get me a Rx for antibiotics. I was in complete agony that afternoon and so much pain I was brought to tears by just having my head in the wrong position so even at 8 pm that night he was able to call in antibiotics for me! Friday wasn’t better though the antibiotics were in me and plenty of OTC pain medication, still no relief so Saturday I went to see a physician and was given stronger antibiotics to fight the sinus infection. I must say I have never been in so much pain in my life, I was brought to my knees when waves of pain hit me, I couldn’t drink or eat or let anything touch my top left molars, nothing helped me until the stronger antibiotics got in my system 24 hrs after taking them… I had no congestion, hardly any obvious symptoms of a SI but a minor sore throat. Who would of thought? I felt the need to share this in case anyone else comes across this in their life especially if you were a child burdened with ear infections like myself. Your sinus can drain differently because of our ear-​infection-​scarred passage ways… suspected to lead to acute dental pain when dealing with an SI. I am thankful my Dentist gave me his best advice, and a thorough consultation, it was also very reasonable priced visit considering everything was A-​OK and even called me personally today to see if I was feeling better!

Dr. Golles has worked on my teeth for years. He is the gentlest dentist ever. In addition, he always lays out options so if you need work you’ll get exactly what you need; nothing more, nothing less. Highly recommended.

A marvelous dentist! He actually sits with you and talks over everything you could possibly want to talk about with a dentist. Never for a second did it feel as though he were in a rush, it felt like he had all day for me. And the office itself is so eloquent and relaxing. As someone who is really uncomfortable with dental visits, I’m actually eager for my next appointment. The staff is so kind and pleasant, and the office itself is located in a really nice and quiet area. I’ll be going here exclusively from now on!
