Men and couples should be aware. I do not want this to be considered a complete bashing of this therapist. I do believe she is trained, and competent. However, I would suggest she is best suited to help women with issues regarding self-​confidence and empowerment. She has an extremely strong– for lack of a better term and not intended in a derogatory fashion– feminist stance. I firmly believe that her approach and her somewhat negative and none-​too-​veiled leanings towards males cost the love of my life and I a chance at reconciliation. I, (the male) was told by my then partner (female) that she had a feeling that sometimes this therapist «pitted us» against one another. I, too, felt that way, and felt like the third wheel at all times during the sessions. I am far from a «macho, masculine» guy, and very emotional and open with my feelings. I cannot even FATHOM what an experience would be like for a guy with more stereotypical «guy like» traits in a setting with Lynn.
If you are a woman that struggles with feeling comfortable in your own skin, might have issues with asserting yourself, or– best yet– need to get back on your feet after having been involved in a relationship with some macho troglodyte male? This is the place for you. But couples– I hope you will at least enter with your eyes open. I know only too well… sometimes, you don’t get a second chance to try to save the greatest relationship of your life. I wonder, if I had chosen a setting more wisely, if I might still have her to share my life with.
