Had to get a lawyer to deal with Meeks Lumber on Twin View. If you want a copy of the letter from my lawyer feel free to ask and I’ll forward it to you. It basically states these items below. Meek’s Breaches of Contracts/Warranties Based on Meeks salesman telling me to pay my bill each month by the tenth to receive a 10% discount, which I did, my discount is still owed to me. Non-Conforming Engineered Trusses. Meeks built my trusses wrong at a cost of $ 11,000.00 which has been paid. Meeks built and delivered non-conforming trusses– which changed the very essence of the home we are building. The plans specifically provided for passive solar /«Craftsman Bungalow» style rafter tails on the south and east side of the house, When I asked why the rafter tails were not per plan, Meeks blamed me for not noticing before the trusses were installed on the roof. Meeks flatly refused to fix their mistake. Further, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, I discovered another mistake: 12 trusses were missing. In this instance, Meeks made the trusses and delivered them without blaming me. Window Issues. I purchased 30 custom craftsman bungalow windows for our new custom home at a cost of approximately $ 10,000.00, which has been paid. On delivery day, April 18, 2016, Meeks forklift driver dropped 28 of the windows from 5 feet off the ground to the asphalt street below, in which all the bottom windows shattered and the top windows were damaged on the frames. Meeks informs me they have no insurance to cover such a loss and that this is not a catastrophe, so Meeks does not need insurance to cover the claim. Because of the damaged windows, the job was placed on hold. After waiting three weeks for the shattered window replacements to finally arrive, on May 5th, 2016, the largest window showed up built backwards to the plans. The framer walked off the job due to the negligence of Meeks and their employees. It was a snowball rolling downhill catching everything in it’s path. Mistreatment/Sex Discrimination. My treatment by Meeks employees has been abusive and deplorable. In particular, the manager that had to deal with the broken windows and the non compliance roof trusses(all caused by Meeks) went so far as to tell me I am «no longer welcome» at Meeks, i.e., not to shop there anymore and then he closed my account. So, if you want to be made to feel inadequate, if you want people to abuse you and use double-talk mixed with blame to talk over you, if you want your new home to not conform to your custom blueprints, and if you want your windows dropped into the street with no insurance to cover the damage, then call Meeks Lumber and have them ruin your project for you. Otherwise please USEWEAVERLUMBER in Redding, for all of your building needs! They are great and they have insurance. Meeks Lumber really let me down. They are not what they appear to be. I am so disappointed in them using blame instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes. Hope this helps you to NOT use Meeks Lumber for your building needs.

Needed some hard to find slat wall for a new retail store I’m remodeling. Hard to find simply because we are not a major metro. After hours of searching the counties of Siskiyou and shasta as well as southern Oregon, Meeks in redding came through. Not only were they helpful but Brianna at Twin view went above and beyond. Thx a ton and great customer service

My mentally disabled client had me take him to Meek’s the other day to purchase a grill. From the moment we walked in he was treated with respect, and all the men working(there were 3 or 4 that assisted us throughout our shopping) were so helpful and nice! I watched as the staff treated all the customers just as wonderful. My client doesn’t do so well socially, but the service he received made our shopping experience an enjoyable one!
