R & R Quality Meats

I’ve been a frequent shopper at R&R for many years. They have a huge selection of marinated meats and their steaks are outstanding. The service is top notch!

Very nice selection of sea food and meats. They have pre cooked hot case full of a ton of choices incase your not in the mood for firing up the BBQ yourself.
The prices are vey reasonable, i would try to avoid lunch hours. They do have a number system so be sure to grab a ticket when entering the building.

For reasons I won’t detail, I had to go back to R&R. I got pork and beef. I’ve never had tasteless New York Strip before. So kudos R&R!

We have been using this place for 20 years, however recently the quality has slacked drastically, and today was the last straw. We planned on having a BBQ and went their to get our steaks. We asked for the biggest porterhouse they had and 5 ribeyes, we mentiined yhe ribeyes 3 or 4 times, and it was not loud or very busy. The largest porterhouse the worker could find was only 1 pound and ½ inch think. He wraps it says he’ll meet up up front, he hands us one porterhouse then disapears. We flag down another worker who grabs the 5 ribeyes and waot up front while he wraps them. No we get ready to cook them and the ribeyes are all different sizes and thickness. They’re just getting worse and worse. My t fine by my house has much better quality meat and it’s cheaper. And their butcher has been doing it for 40 years.

Great service, freshest butcher shop in town and love their selection of marinated meats. It’s like a meat lovers candy store.

For years we’ve only bought raw meat at the store. I love that they custom cut anything they sell. Family packs of ground sirloin are always worth it too! Save 50¢ or more a pound buying in bulk.
On the weekends they have a selection of ready made food. Today, I bought prepared chicken wings. Six for $ 1.99. I couldn’t decide between BBQ or buffalo so I bought six of each. 12 wings for $ 4 is a steal! They looked good and they tasted good too. I preferred buffalo over BBQ. I’ll definitely be back on the weekend to get more of those.

New location (three doors down from old place) is great! So big and clean! Love that old school butcher shop feel. Was excited to see that they even have a tiny produce section now. Lots of good spices and condiments too.
Staff is always upbeat and friendly. You can tell them what you want and they work quickly and efficiently to get you on your way. The meat is great and so are the prices. I love their pre-​marinated chicken. My only complaint is that I wish they offered more organic/​grass fed options.

I come here nearly EVERY month for meat. The meat is fantastic but for a few months now the customer service has gone down the toilet. I am allergic to nuts and I found they put some kind of nuts in their stuffed pork chops. My husband called (it was after hours but he left a message) trying to find out what kind of nuts so we knew how much time we had to get to the hospital if need be. Not even an attempt to call back. Last month they messed up my order after keeping me there for two hours while tending to some business that needed bacon. Then today I called in to avoid having to stand there for two hours again considering I have M. S and a bad back and they charged me for the extra sausage I had after asking if it would come to the exact price because I took some stuff out and wanted it replaced. She assured me that it will all work out in the price. I asked again if the amount would come to the exact amount when she called to ask a question. I ended up paying $ 20.00 more which I wouldn’t have blinked at normally but when I am assured of a price I expect it to come out. I am on a budget and I have to plan carefully. Then the lady that brought my order out slammed the box in to my trunk of my new car. Last time I went they gave me a box that smelled so bad of rotten fish that it took me a week to get the smell out of the other car. I am really disappointed and unless this can be rectified I WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Ever since they moved this company has gone to the dogs. Or should I say the rotten fish!

Best Butcher shop that is not an artisan shop I ever been to. Mainly how great the quality of meat is to the price. Phenomenal meat at a real moderate price. It is the best chicken I have ever tasted that is not organic. They do not pump hormones into the chicken like pretty much any store bought chicken. Everything is great in the meat department. The Seafood is overpriced and come on who wants to eat seafood from a place that is 3 hours from the ocean. But I will not buy any of my meat from anywhere else… Better than Costco… The little Deli area open on the weekends is nice to try but not amazing.

Got some live crabs for New Years dinner. They were absolutely amazing. Best crab ever. Will definitely come back.

We went here for the first time since they took over the old buz’s and wow… The store was clean, the steaks we bought were amazing, they seasoned them for us, the service was fast and we had a good overall experience. It looks like they work very hard to provide a great service here. I would definitely recommend this store and I will be going back.

Best bacon in the world. And fast, friendly, helpful staff — what a wonderful local business.

Very nice, helpful, friendly staff. They will recommend or help you with anything you need. They’re quick. The meat is all good! Fair prices. Love it.

Not coming back after this one. Plus they do not offer grass fed or organic products. I live out of town so I need to call in my order and request it pre-​frozen for transport. They had transcribed everything correctly over the phone so when they did not give me an itemized recipt I was worried but trusted them. I get home, an hour and a half away and whoever packed the bag clearly could have cared less. They gave me twice as much of the most expensive things on my list. Left stuff off. Upon calling back to verify the amounts i specified, they were correct. When I asked the girl, who is always in there, what happened? She says, «do you want to talk to the manager to get free stuff next time?» Uh no, I want what I asked for and I want to know what you actually charged me for. On top of all of it I opened up chicken thighs today and there was a pretty big sliver of wood in it… Not sure if it fell in or got dropped on the ground. The premise for this place is great but the standards are kind of low.

I was wrong about these people. Since they have changed location their staff, and quality of meath has both dramatically imoroved. I am a happy customer and try to come in as often now for all my meat needs

Sold us expired hotdogs. When we went all the way back to return them the guy says «it’s ok, we buy them in bulk and then freeze them so they are still ok». Year old frozen hotdogs from a butcher is not acceptable.
On top of that the employees seem bothered that they have to help you.
Defiantly going to Safeway next time.

So you would expect nothing less than quality meats from a place that claims «Quality Meats»…and that is exactly what they deliver. Not only is the product here great and affordable, but the service exceeds expectation.
A friendly manager by the name of Jason helped recover from an unexpected mistake during a recent transaction at R&R. When given our bag o’meats, it turned out that we were missing something of vital importance: the famed «Garlic Tri-​Tip Roast». As it turns out, we had asked for this wonderment that is meat, and it had mistakenly been left out of our bag. It wasn’t until TWO days later that this was noticed. The friendly meat guards of R&R were quick to put Jason on the phone and make things right by providing us with our deliciousness purchased two days earlier, with proof of purchase of course.
In short, if you’re looking for exceptional cuts of meat at prices better than a supermarket, this is where you should find it. Even if you haven’t a clue of what or how to cook something, the men and women of R&R Meat Enforcement will happily give you tips and great recipes.

Love this place and the people who work here. Just wish the meat was locally raised.

We live in Mount Shasta and never knew this place existed! Got a half pound of fresh cooked crab and a pound of bay shrimp and some of their mild cocktail sauce! So fresh and delicious. Will be returning for more!

I grew up in Redding and had never tried this place until last weekend. Yes, of course everyone says their meat is «so good». Well I didn’t think it was worth the extra trip aside from my regular grocery store trip to just get meat. I don’t even really like meat that much. Seriously.
Anyhow, my brother brought over a bunch of steaks from here for a BBQ last weekend, and they were the BEST steaks I have EVER had. They were so tender, I literally barely had to chew it. Everyone there that night raved about the quality of the steaks. I will never host anything at my house with guests where I serve meat not from R&R now. Anyway, they were ridiculous good steaks. Good enough for me to get on my computer and write a good review about a meat shop
