Sand Vista Motel

This is our first non-​chain place for my family. While it’s true we were skeptical but I gave it a shot and it was quite the opposite. The owner, Kayla, were super friendly and were very helpful. The room (bigger suite) and the pool were awesome! It was quiet and relaxing place. My little girl enjoyed swimming in their pool. It was easy walk-​in to the beach, just across from the place. I would definitely come back again for this. Thank you!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Sand Vista. The owner, Kayla, runs the property on her own — from taking care of the plants and pool, to working on the rooms, to the office work. You can feel the love of her labor in all of those things — this is more than a job to her. She truly makes all of her guests feel welcome and knows them all by name. We travel light — so a small motel room in a quiet part of town with a kitchenette and easy beach access was all we were looking for — Sand Vista had all of that and then some! The rooms are impeccably clean and cozy. The pool is clean and surrounded by beautiful plants. There are beach towels and beach chairs available for your use — which was SO nice! The motto of the motel rings true — «Come as a guest, leave as a friend.» We were so glad to get to know Kayla and really felt like family while we stayed there. Coming from the busy and somewhat impatient Northeast, it was really refreshing to be reminded to slow down and enjoy life. If you’re not into bells and whistles and travel for the experience, connections, and adventures — a stay at Sand Vista will be right up your alley. We will definitely be back!

Great place! Nice and homey at a great price. We were a little nervous going in because with these places, you never know what you’ll end up with. Our anxiety quickly disappeared after we checked in here.
The staff is very friendly, the room (which is actually a small suite) was clean, cozy, and had everything we could have needed to stay a month, even though we just stayed a night. The washcloth in the bathroom was even folded in the shape of a duck, which is trivial, but a very nice touch. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Sand Vista to friends.

Just back from a long weekend. We chose Sand Vista because it was pet friendly, & we needed to take our senior cat with us. It was very clean and very peaceful. I slept with my window open, which on a ground floor I usually never do, but I felt so safe there! The owner is so friendly and welcoming. There’s wifi, laundry access, a lovely dock to sit on. The waterfront room was fabulous (a little small for us since kitty’s gear took up a lot of room) and we already are looking at returning. Grab a trolley map from one of the brochure racks that seem to be everywhere, and you can explore all the beaches from this wonderful little «back in time» gem. (Sand Vista seems to have a lot of long term winter folks there – that should tell you just how comfortable this place is!) Get a t shirt with the logo on it-it’s beautiful!

This place put the heaven in hospitality for us — they gave our group two waterfront rooms looking out on the most gorgeous vista — a private boat dock, wildlife including a variety of fishes, seabirds, manatees and even a dolphin! You’re not going to get that from the 8^th floor of the Doubletree! The in-​room A/​C units were blessedly cold and plentiful, and the owners were delightful, offering beach towels, chairs, a free standing fireplace and a barbecue. Our room was spanking clean, bed was soft, and the kitchenette to our surprise, included a full size frig, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, some utensils, and a cooking surface! The location had beach access right across the street, gift shops, galleries, and a great tavern nearby. And the prices were amazingly competitive! Must go again!

Great weekend get-​away & pet friendly! Small 1970’s style motel across the street from the beach– with super clean rooms, kitchenettes, & pool on the bay to swim, soak up the Sun or just lounge & read a book. Their motto: «arrive as guests, leave as friends» is so true!

Great little place. The rooms are so clean! Very nice people. Right across the street from the beach and the fishing pier. I love the pool! Can’t wait to come back.
