Discount Auto and Tire Service

Good customer service from friendly staff, good work, and good prices. I don’t have the tools or the time to do a lot of maintenance and repair work myself these days, but I generally understand cars and appreciate these guys’ willingness to talk with me about the parts replaced and the work done. I really appreciate that on one occasion, when I had an easily replaceable but cheap aftermarket part fail on me, they diagnosed the problem and advised I go down to the dealer to get a genuine replacement without charging me anything.

This place always does good work. I have an older truck (1997) that tends to need some some additional work that I cannot do or have the time to do. This place not only beats the prices of other near by repair shops but they also provide outstanding customer service. Today I had the truck in to have the AC compressor replaced and they were nice enough to drive me to work and when the work was done they picked me up. The store manager Joe Garza quoted me a fair price completed the work before they had committed and honored this additional 5% reduction in the final bill. Outstanding customer service and friendly staff. The GM, Richard is also so nice to his customers. I highly recommend this place as a fair and reasonable place to have work done and you will be treated like a VIP!

Thank you so much to Joe! I was driving and there was something that sounded off with my tires so I pulled in since it was just around the corner to this tire shop. Even though they were closed Joe helped me figure out what was wrong, quickly helped me fix the part of the car that was rubbing against my tire, and told me what piece to get next time something similar happens. Thank you to this place, I’ll be coming here again next time I have tire problems (which hopefully isn’t soon) in this area.

I’ve had quite a few things done at Discount Auto Tire Service. The biggie repair, head gaskets, was only found by his shop. I kept over heating, and the tests weren’t showing up as blown heads. One of the techs diligently worked to find the issue, then found it leaking on the one side! Was grateful they were able to assist in finding the issue and repairing! Everyone there is great and very friendly, prices are very reasonable as well! I will take my car there for any future issues. Make sure you talk to Richard (owner). He is more than willing to help and have you be a customer for life! Customer service is amazing!

These guys are great! I first came here a year ago when looking for a new tire place when I could no longer trust the tire guy I had been using for 5 years. I used to go to another mechanic in Riverside, until I realized I was being charged for work that was not being done. It has been a breath of fresh air to find Discount Auto and Tire Service. My car is sticking firmly to the road on a set of tires I purchased at least 20k miles ago. I have a second car that has had tires repaired by them, and not even off-​road driving to find the best local rock climbing spots has caused the repair to fail on my Toyota Matrix.
A friend of mine had his a/​c and heater repaired and back out of the shop within a day. He also got his brakes replaced in an afternoon. Quick, reliable, friendly service at its finest! It’s hard to find a reliable mechanic, but Richard and his team pull it off consistently.

Today was my first time here and my experience was great! I came in at the end of the day and still had the best customer service. Joe was so funny and kind. His positivity made my day. I will definitely be back to get new tires. My oil was changed in less than 30 minutes these guys are very efficient. Thanks for being life savers! :)

I have been using Discount Auto & Tire, since May 1988, and they are the best mechanics, you can find, in the Inland Empire! I have taken in many vehicles, I’ve owned, over the years, and they promptly fixed the situation, each time!
Their prices, are really reasonable, for the current times, and they are not, trying to take you, like other’s seem to do!
I have used them so long, that I have gone through two owner’s… The first owner was Jose. The current owner is Richard! Both are very personable, great guy’s, to deal with!
I used to live in Redlands, about a ½ mile away, and it was easy to get to, or walk home, if I left my vehicle there!
They are located in the Redlands historical: «Trolley Barn», which was last used in 1934, when residences of Redlands, preferred to use automobiles, over trolley cars! The large & tall, brick building is over 100 years old, and is very nostalgic, to be in!
I «highly recommend» this place, for any vehicle use… tune-up’s, repair, buying a new tire, etc! I’ve never had a bad experience yet, in 27 years, of using them!
