Edna Grizzle, DMD

I took my family to Dr Grizzle for several years (6+). Last year she said my daughter had a cavity and it needed to be filled. We made an appointment with Dr Grizzle to do so for a couple weeks out. In the meantime my wife took her for a second opinion along with additional xrays and found that there is no cavity. This has been over a year now and still no cavity. I was appalled that she would have drilled her tooth without a need. Keep in mind our daughter has only had one filling in her life (12years old). That filling was done by Dr Grizzle several years earlier. Looking back doubt it was a cavity either. I felt betrayed that a professional Dr. Could do such a thing.

Been coming here for a few years now and I must say they are quite friendly. Filipinos take the majority of this office which is awesome for me because I’m Filipino too. Plus most of my family and friends come here. Besides all of that, the lobby is quiet and pretty. I enjoy the perks of them having a lot of new fancy equipment and the reassurance that all of their supplies are cleaned and covered with new plastics. The down fall for me on the other hand is that on multiple occasions I’ve had experiences of miscommunication. For example, I had my wisdom teeth taken out earlier this year and boy was that a memorable experience my post OP instructions weren’t very clear. I remember no one advising me on medication instructions. So after the procedure I had my dad pick up my medications at the pharmacy and when the laughing gas began to disappear I began to feel the pain. Thus resulting in me taking the pain medication. Ever since that time, I projectile vomited for 2 days straight. When I called for advice they yelled at me saying they instructed me. Had I been instructed do you think I would go against doctors orders? Probably not, I’m a nurse I know I should follow the orders. I may have been on that funny juice but I was still coherent of what was going on. I felt as if I couldn’t come to them for help or advice so I just shrugged it off and went along with it. After that experience I was hesitant to return but figured I’m harming myself since I’m not being proactive on my 6 month cleaning. 8 months later I return, great experience they cleaned my teeth voila I’m happy. That same day I had another appointment and I was running late so I couldn’t schedule an appointment for a following visit with the front desk. So I figured I would call instead while I’m driving to my next destination. I scheduled two appointments via telephone and marked it in my calendar. Then I get there today and they are like, I don’t have you scheduled for anything today. Huh? I say. I wouldn’t just pop up here without an appointment. I’m taking half the day off of work to be here and I work all the way in LA. Why on earth would I waste precious time to come all the way here to just get my teeth filling without any guarantee of being seen. After that, the front desk manages to squeeze me in with heavy remorse. Shortly after she asks to charge me for the filling before I go in. Which makes sense because what if they already rendered the services then there’s no turning back. I go inside 30+ mins past my appointment time. And once I’m seated the dentist fiddles with my teeth that has filling and says you don’t need a filling. I’m just about annoyed at this point because once again there’s another mistake. I took off work, wasted my time, drove all the way here, and paid for something that wasn’t even necessary. Of course I got my money back but I left with a feeling of utter disappointment and regret since I lost half the day to no productivity. All in all, I just feel like they need to step up their game and be on top of things. I was nice about it but in all honesty I could’ve flipped out. But what good would that do. Learn from your lessons, til next time!

Dr. Grizzle has been my dentist since I was a child. I am now married and have a toddler of my own. My whole family are patients of hers and I can not imagine us being with any other dentist. She is awesome and I highly recommend her to anyone in the Redlands area. Also the office staff, Girlie and Edith, are such sweethearts. You will be happy here.

Dr. Grizzle has been my dentist since 1994. She is one of the few dentist I’ve encountered that has the «lightest touch», injections are no different. My whole family goes to her too, as well as most of my relatives.
The whole staff, from the front office to the back staff are all pleasant and friendly. The ambiance of the clinic is so refreshing and feels so clean.
