Devin of Island Boy Pool Service is not a man of his word. He installed a new pool filter which began to malfunction within weeks. He has failed to provide me with the owners manual as well as the warranty for this filter in spite of promises to do so. He is currently not responding to my text messages. Stay away from this guy and his company.

Horrible service! He missed a lot, and our pool was always full of algae because he never brushed the pool. He would come and go soooo, fast that when I went out to talk to him he’d be gone. He tried to make up issues to get more money, I took a sample of my water to Leslie’s pool supply and they said that it had too much chorine, and he had just charged like $ 150. Extra for special chorine!

I used Island Pool Boy (Devine Hassoune) on one of my investment properties. I had no complaints there; it was the next time I needed the service that unfortunately things went sour. I called to get a quote on a pool repair, after we agreed in price and work, Devon asked if I can send him a cashiers check to order parts and do the repairs. Since he had done repairs on my previous pool pump I went ahead and did it. Devin never showed up, stopped answering and responding to texts, and to this day I haven’t heard anything or received a refund.
There was a previous Unilocal page for this company that had negative reviews of him suddenly not showing up to clean pools but still collecting money and not giving refunds. I’d stay away.

had this pool service for year& he just stopped showing up then i found out i was paying him every month for a service he wasnt even doing to my pool! when i finally let him go he owed me money for the month since he didnt finish out the whole month& he said he would mail it to us& never did. would never use him again! he is horrible.

My pool was a nightmare! I had a hard time getting someone to service it. Island Boy came out and worked some kind of magic on it. It looks great! Whenever I have a problem, they are just a phone call away. Great job, Island Boy Pool Service!!! I highly recommend them for service and repairs!!!
