History

Established in 1982.

Joyce Moving & Storage, Inc., founded in 1982 by William H. Joyce, began as a small, local business out of a modest warehouse on Canal Street in Stamford, Connecticut. Will Joyce, an award winning nationwide driver, brought to his new company two trucks, a strong business mind, a unfailing sense of determination and work ethic that would be the foundation of his success.

The company became widely known in the industry as being a quality carrier for its high customer service standards and with increased demand, and 48-​state carrier authority, expanded over the years eventually founding Joyce Van Lines, Inc. Because of his commitment to quality and customer service, Will Joyce considered it important to develop company-​owned facilities nationwide to insure that high service standards would be maintained and controlled. As a result, Joyce now owns and operates full service moving and storage companies and major terminals in Connecticut, Indiana, Texas, Colorado, and California

Meet the Manager

Philip Ridenour E.

Manager

Phil Ridenour is the Manager of our Redlands, California terminal and West Coast Operations director and controller. Phil began his career in 1980 as an independent contractor for Redlands-​based Tri-​City Moving and Storage and bought the company in 1990. After selling the company, Phil joined the Joyce team in 1998 to lead the West Coast operations for Joyce Moving and Storage, Inc.

Phil’s decades of experience in the industry coupled with his commitment to customer service reinforce his reputation as the consummate professional in the community and industry at-​large. Phil’s dedication to inspiring the highest standards of professionalism throughout all Joyce operations is a testament to his leadership, and the core values of Joyce Moving and Storage, Inc.

When Phil is not moving a hundred miles an hour at the office, he enjoys skiing just as fast down the slopes, or taking in the sights and sounds of nature while hiking in the local mountains, also where he makes his home.
