I needed a key made and lock set rekeyed last night, it was 5:55 pm and they were closed, my brother knocked on door and the the old man was very rude and said cant you read we are closed. I always go here and I thought it was very rude to talk to someone like that when we are regular customers. You would think since they have a sign that says open until 6 pm they would do a little job but i guess i will find another location, im sure the old man would remeber me spending over 3,000 with him in the past, but i will take my business elsewhere

The service was awesome! They have a texting service to communicate directly with the locksmith and the reply was very prompt and professional. If you can’t reach them at the store I suggest you text them too. The locksmith who helped me took a broken key from my ignition and made me two copies on the spot. Will definitely call again.

I was glad to find a locksmith so close to me in Redlands. I called other locksmiths who did not have a walk in location and were wanting to charge me $ 59 plus rekey. I came into redlands lock and key and they had my lock rekeyed for $ 7.50. I will return.

I had these guys out to rekey our locks and they did a great job. A friend recommended them to me after he had to change his locks at home. Very reasonable and provided great service.

I have dealt with Redlands Lock and Key for quite a while, and find them professional and courteous. Although another reviewer on this site had a bad experience, please check to see if this was even the same company, as this business does not have an A1 in front of the name. I use this company on a weekly basis and have never experienced any sort of bait and switch or other unethical business practices. Their work is first rate and timely.

I was locked out of my vehicle last weekend and called several local locksmiths for price quotes. These individuals gave me the most reasonable quote of $ 39 for the service call and an additional fee of $ 15, or more depending on the difficulty of getting into the vehicle. The next closest quote was between $ 80-​$ 120.
I made the initial call at around 1:50pm. The locksmith called me back to state he would be at my location «in 20 minutes.» 20 minutes came and went. At around 2:40pm, he called to apologize and stated it would be another 20 minutes. The locksmith did not arrive until 3:30, over an hour and a half following my initial request for service.
Without even attempting to open the vehicle, he stated that the total cost would be over $ 200. I questioned why the cost was so high and he stated that my particular model of vehicle had «special security», making it more difficult to open. Only a minute later, after he used STANDARD PROCEDURE with inflatable bags to open the door, he was done. I desputed the cost, and he behaved incredibly unprofessionally, taking personal offence to my irritation and becoming defensive.
I attempted to pay with my credit card, which the locksmith stated was declined. While he attempted to process my debit card, I contacted Discover and found the reason it was declined was a typo on part of the locksmith in entering the card data. This could have simply been a mistake, I suspect otherwise, but that is because of the locksmith’s peculiar behavior.
This is a classic «BAIT AND SWITCH» tactic. These folks lured me in with a promised low cost and used my ignorance of the locksmithing process to charge me an inflated fee. I feel cheated and taken advantage of.
