Superbad Action Figures

Tim Samra is unprofessional and has no class at all. It’s sad when you have to join a FB group to bash members and talk bad about someone’s business. Before you call BS on it, I have proof «buddy». The sad part is, you didn’t realize you had customers in the group and they have seen your true colors. What makes this worst, I’m actually wasting my precious time giving you attention. Several group members have as well, probably the most reviews and page views your business has seen in a long time. I’m not one to wish ill will on someone, so I won’t. I hope you do well with your business but most of all I hope you grow up.

The owner Tim Samra is known to talk crap about collectors behind their backs. Terrible work ethic and super rude. Planned on becoming a customer but seeing and hearing his actions made me not want to check it out anymore. I wouldn’t want to support this type of business. Hot toys figures are over priced too. Some even surpass eBay prices. What a joke.

Honestly save yourself a trip here, price are ridiculous and rather than the owner caring about his customers, he’d rather take your money and careless if you come back.
Also you might as well save yourself of going to the TRU next store as they tend to buy everything out and charge 2 – 3 times more than msrp and they just don’t care. They don’t really leave any for other customers just take everything.
Extremely rude, and will make fun of those who he feels are inferior

Omg I love this place. My boyfriend bought Ichabod Crane movie masterpiece figure. It’s very detailed and very intriguing. This store has a lot of great product for a reasonable price. Nobody has product like they do. Meanwhile, people don’t understand that these are rare products that are hard to get and are not meant to be played with. The guy with the tool shirt is awesome and funny. So is the guy that had a Mario hat.

Alright so here go! Overall lots of great toys and figures but they are missing one thing, CUSTOMER SERVICE! Many of the displays don’t have any prices and the Torta employee was giving me ballpark figure prices, No dude! I would like the actual price please. I felt like I was bothering him because he actually had to work and not blog about Avengers 2. I had a gift certificate to this store and I ended up picking out a Batman figure. I use my certificate and pay the taxes when all of a sudden the Torta employee says, «Hold on, let me call my boss to make sure it wasn’t an exclusive.» Torta is on the phone for about 5 minutes when he tells me, «Sir I gotta refund you the money because that’s an exclusive.» My boss says it’s not supposed to be for sale.” WHOA! So I tell him «Why is it in the display case?» Too bad so sad but this transaction is completed! This store needs to get it together. 1 star and I’m being extremely generous!

⁵⁄₉ was my first ever visit to Super bad for the TMNT Day event and my experience cemented why I love Frank and Sons.
The event was terribly mismanaged with absolutely no line system. Basically you could muscle your way to the front of any line. I personally witnessed a few arguments between angry parents.
The merchandise was WAY overpriced; selling Toys R Us figures for double the amount was absolutely insane! Everything being sold by Super bad was extremely expensive. Nothing was below retail price. Good luck selling those event items…
The crew in themselves were clueless and rude. I’d ask if they had certain items then get told to go browse outside instead of actually helping me. One employee was extremely rude in particular. I was waiting to ask a question and he was having a conversation with his friend while dropping F-​Bombs and other such language. Mind you this was in the store, behind the front counter, right next to the special guests who had a bunch of kids in line waiting to meet them.
All in all, Super Bad isn’t a place I would ever come back to since Franks is much closer to me. I’d rather take my business there and have an enjoyable experience.

Tim, the owner sucks! He is a crook, and he lies! He ripped me off by taking money from me for a very expensive item, he remebered me, but acted like he didn’t. He was rude! And I had to wait so longggg for help. I wouldn’t ever trust him, he is, Not! A man of honor. Be very careful if you buy anything, better yet. Go somewhere else!

The store itself was nice but the worker, who i assumed to be the boss, came off as rude. Seemed unwelcoming, judgmental, and apethetic to customers needs. Asked for a price for a figure on display and told me he’d cut me a deal at $ 45. This I assumed was a sales price since there were signs posted everywhere saying items were on sale. As I looked more closely at the box there was a price on there that said was 39.99. So I asked if the $ 45 price is with tax included he rudely replied «no thats not including tax» and when i questioned about the 39.99 price tag he seemed to get even more irritated and said prices are subjected to change. As there were no signs stating this just made this situation even more annoying. It is safe to say ill never go hear again and i recommend no one else do either since u can get most of the stuff on amazon or other more helpful and courteous stores for a cheaper price.

I went in there today just to check the spot out and I was immediately sent down ‘memory lane’. They have pretty much every toy from my childhood, from old school GI Joes to the original Ninja Turtle (re-​release) action figures. The huge action figures and molds on display are insane and look like they’re fresh out of a Hollywood studio. I wish I had more time to browse, but I was running late for work. They have cool Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad stuff as well. The layout is awesome and the gentleman who owns the spot was very attentive and helpful. I’ll definitely be back before Christmas.

Nice stuff on display but not everything is up for sale. I once asked how much a sideshow collectible was in the display, and the guy said it wasn’t for sale and that he could look for one for me, and the price would depend on how much he could get it for. I could look for it on eBay myself if that were the case. Prices of other stuff are on the expensive side and the people working here are not very friendly and not willing to negotiate on price. Won’t be coming back here.

Ok the people who say these prices are reasonable are either completely clueless or just plants for this stores reviews.
First off the prices are in NO WAY even close to decent. Pretty much every single one of their action figures can be bought right across the street at less than half what theyre asking.
Just go look for yourself… This place… classic collection turtle van…100 bucks… go to toys r us. 40… both brand new. Same with most the other action figures.
As for the statues the prices are WAY off from what is considered decent. This guy sells statues that you can still buy new from the distributor for a good 200 over.
Their response? Anything else you buy ANYWHERE else is gonna be guaranteed broken by these guys. Bull. I have bought a TON of statues off ebay WITH their shipping boxes and still paid HUNDREDS less than this place charges. Seriously just go there to look and ask some of the prices on the few pieces theyre selling. Then pull out your smart phone… do a little bit of research… You will see a MAJOR difference in prices.
This place is good to go to look, but they have NOTHING that you cant get for A LOT cheaper through a little bit of searching.
I dont care if «its not ebay» its called being competitive.
I would never buy from this place. Also their knowledge is hardly that good… I barely started collecting 4 months ago and I already know more than the people at this place.

This store is a dream come true for collectors. It has an amazing selection of high end and more affordable collectibles. I could spend hours just admiring the figures on display at the store. There is a wide variety of amazing figures always available. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always eager to help out. I have to question the agenda of these other reviewers who are name dropping competitors in their negative reviews. Go to this amazing shop and judge for yourself. If you are a collector, or just a fan of movies I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Having been to many a Action Figure and Collectables shops, I have to say this is one of the best. Though a small location it is filled to the brim with great merchandise and knowledgeable staff. The place has a wide variety of great pieces, large and small, to get your geek juices boiling into a frenzy. Whether your Into; Marvel, DC, McFarlane, Kotobukia, Hot Toys, Sideshow, or even Buffy the Vampire Slayer, they have something there to for you. With good prices and a plethora of stuff I wanted to put myself in debt to have (good thing I have self control… sorta) I was most impressed with the service.
I was taken care of by Erik, who was obviously not just a employee but a collector himself. He was extremely knowledgeable in his job and had no hesitation to go the extra mile to acquire information to an answer he might not of known (which didn’t seem to be a lot). I ended up spending 2 hours in the place and $ 650 before I had to stop myself from hurting my wallet.
I have noticed that a small fraction of people have complained about the prices and the private collection that is displayed there. I would like to take the time to say… These people obviously don’t know what they are looking at or where they were. It is not at all strange or uncommon for store owners to display their collection! I most likely wouldn’t buy from someone who didn’t. As for the prices, I seen nothing out of the ordinary or extravagant when it came to there asking prices. It is a store, not EBay. Plus they sell most of there product still in its shipping and storage box, something a lot of retailers don’t do. Even if you were to get a display piece, it is straight from the box then into the case and I can almost guarantee they still have the boxes.
All in all, I loved my experience and will be coming back for more. Keep up the geekdom Superbad Action Figures.

Really great place to see a vast amount of collectibles, the prices are fair and each item is in great condition.

While the selection here is nice I’m pretty sure I can get better service from a rock. They might as well just a put a rock at the cash register and I can almost guarantee that more people would get helped. I walked around in that store for 5 – 10 minutes with the only employee there talking about god knows what to his friend without even giving me a second glance. Never asked if I needed help. I found what I was looking for but it had no price tag on it and it was broken and looked like it had a shoddy fix done to it. I would have liked to have asked if there was another one and if not how much the broken one was but clearly there was no time to be spent to help me. I don’t plan on coming back here anytime soon.

By FAR one of the best action figure shops in SoCal and beyond. I travel all over the West coast as regional rep for a clothing wholesaler and make sure to stop in as many toy stores, comic shops and, when in luck, action figure shops as often as possible.
Action Figure shops are few and far between and this is one of the best I’ve been to. its a bit outside LA but in my opinion it’s worth the drive because they have tons of one-​of-​a-​kind items at great prices. They buy, sell and repair too which is super rare and very helpful.
Tons of amazing movie memorabilia as well.
I was able to meet the owner Tim and his artist/​repair guru (I’m sorry i forgot your name!) and they were both super cool guys who were more than happy to answer any questions (no matter how lame) and chat about anything even remotely pertinent to the situation at hand. They were extremely knowledgeable and have a great setup for Action Figure shopping! I shall return with others, oh yes, I’ll be back.
