Dr. Schallmann is dedicated to upholding the highest standards and values that he learned while attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. A Level II NUCCA Board Certification holder, Dr. Schallmann has also particular expertise in NUCCA as related to neuromuscular dentistry. Practicing in Las Vegas from 2005 to 2008 and now the Puget Sound area since early 2008 he helps patients with migraines, back pain, TMJ Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, sciatica, trigeminal neuralgia and even multiple sclerosis.

I work as a pre schoolteacher and most of my day I am either kneeling to be at the eye level of the child, or am sitting on the floor working with the child.
My knees, legs and back always ached, and it had become unbearable for me to squat or kneel.
I started seeing Dr. Shallman about 8 months ago. I went there for back pain; but the effects of the treatment have surprised me.
I can now sit for hours criss cross — which I couldn’t earlier. My leg doesn’t get numb from being in one position too long. i kneel and squat easily too.
I highly recommend NUCCA treatment. Worked wonders for me!!!

Dr. Shallmann practices as an NUCCA chiropractor, which I was not familiar with but I was referred to him by a coworker. I have been treated by several different chiropractors over the years, but had not been treated for at least a year. In January 2013 I was experiencing severe right arm, shoulder, and upper back pain and needed an adjustment ASAP (I thought).
Dr. Shallmann did the initial visit with me while I was in severe pain, and honestly I thought I just needed a «tweak» and then I could go on my merry way. I went through the xrays and the measurements and found out I was 20 pounds heavier on one side than the other — very out of balance. They had explained on the phone that I would not be treated until the second visit, and were able to schedule it for the next day.
The actual adjustment was so gentle I could hardly believe anything was done. When I stood up, the severe pain was almost immediately gone and I could feel my blood literally rushing through the parts of my body that had been hurting. I went back for treatments twice a week for a month, and am now going back monthly. So far the adjustments are holding well.
Here are the benefits I have experienced:
— No more neck or back pain
— No more headaches
— Increased all-​around mobility
— Lower blood pressure (I know, right?)
— Better sleep
— Overall better mood (amazing how grumpy back pain and lack of sleep makes you!)
The practice handles all the insurance billing with great accuracy (I have checked) and overall the treatment was relatively inexpensive. I have since referred another coworker to Dr. Shallman, and she has reported similar results.

I have seen chiropractors for years with varying results. I was seeing another chiropractor yet was still having intense lower back pain. My personal trainer suggested I find a NUCCA chiropractor. I found Dr. Shallmann and am so grateful. After a few treatments, I started noticing relief and my trainer commented that my balance was better. My headaches have also lessened dramatically. (I am a stressball so they will never completely go away). I was still eating well, working out, but the only thing I changed is my chiropractor. It is strange to get used to not having the «violent» cracking cracking of traditional chiropractors, but you will definitely feel better. I think Dr. Shallmann is great and his office is very welcoming.

I went to Dr. Shallman for some neck and back pain. He had great reviews on Unilocal — and was one of the few Dr. that work on Thursdays. We just moved to the area and I hadn’t seen my chiro for 6 weeks. I’m very active and have a 35lb toddler — so I usually need an adjustement every so often. Dr. Shallman was very nice and did a thorough examination. He said after ½ hr that he doesn’t do an adjustment until the next visit. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT as I would have never wasted my time. Then he took xrays and proceeded to freak me out about how messed up my neck is — bone spurs, compressed disks and general degeneration that he wouldn’t be able to address. When I went to schedue my follow-​on (which I desperately needed to be ASAP as I had been losing sleep due to the discomfort) the soonest he could see me was 5 days later. Dr. Shallman is an incredibly smart ad caring chiropractor. I was referred to him by my dentist to help with my TMJ symptoms. I had been seeing a traditional chiropractor for years and was unfamiliar with the NUCCA technique. Dr. Shallman spent a great deal of time explaining the technique and how it works. He showed me exactly how he works up a treatment plan by reviewing my xrays, measurements, and weight balance. After just a couple of visits, his treatments have alleviated years of misdiagnosed neck problems. Last week, I walked in with a migrane and after a few gentle taps on my neck and 10 minutes in his massage chair resting, I walked out symptom free. He is very likable and professional and his front staff is beyond amazing. I feel luck to have found a dedicated doctor who is driven by patient satisfaction and results.

I came to Dr. Traci completely unaware of the benefits of chiropractic care. I was told several times I was out of alignment by various screenings and came to see for sure. Boy was I in for a transformation!
After treatment, I’ve realized how much discomfort I was in from sitting in a desk all day in my lower back and hip flexors. I notice I don’t have to shift around every few minutes. I can sit in a meeting for hours and hours on end without getting uncomfortable and having to stretch. It’s awesome and makes me a more effective employee.
I also noticed it’s much easier for me to run now, even on pavement. I was always worried about getting arthritis one day because I would always be have some joint pain or discomfort. I’ve also had intense fatigue on one side of my body. Now it’s totally even and I have greater endurance. Bazinga!
I learned after starting treatment that not all chiropractors are created equal… the method that this team uses is very comfortable and gentle which is a huge benefit. I don’t dread going :). And I’m really lucky to have found such a great practice quite by chance!

Dr. Shallman is a great practitioner! I began seeing him out of curiosity for his unique approach to chiropractic and he spent a great deal of time explaining it to me. Even better than the time he spent were the results I received from his treatment. He helped me with headaches I had been having and made me feel better overall. I would encourage anyone interested to visit Dr. Shallman. He is extremely intelligent and has the integrity to give you a realistic and reasonable treatment protocol. I really appreciate the entire staff and value my treatments at the Balanced Spine.
