This is the dirtiest nail salon I’ve ever been to!!! I went to get acrylics and after having them start on my hands I noticed that there were someone else’s nail clippings on my hand towel!!! I wanted to throw up. They do not follow sanitation procedures. Stay away! Ive heard they are notorious for giving people fungus. Yum. Just what you want when go to relax right?

This place is ridiculous!!! I will spread the word to everyone and let them know to not step foot in this supposedly place that they call a salon. I have been here three times which was my mistake because all three times I have been disappointed and not sure why I went back. Don’t bother complaining to the owner the male or female because they will just argue with you and tell you how you are wrong.
I walked in on this particular time and I got no hello? Or how may I help you? All they do is stare at you and expect you to talk. I asked to get my eyebrows done and they told me it would be five to ten minutes so I sat down. The owner told me to come sit on the chair where they do eyebrows right in the front of the salon in front of everyone so I did. Before she could even start I told her specifically, «I am only here to get a clean up do not touch anything else!» She kept on tweezing and I said, «I hope ur not touching anything I don’t want» she replied by saying, «no, I know what I am doing» finally she showed me what she did and I was completely horrified. She made my brows so skinny and got up and said, «I told you I didn’t want you to touch anything». At that point she raised her voice and talking over me. At no point did I raise my voice at all. I was so upset and she could see it. She told me not to pay and I looked at her and said why would I pay you $ 10 when you have messed up my eyebrows and it is going to take me over 3 months to grow them back.
I guess it’s a lesson learned for me since I gave them three chances. The sad part is I told her I have been there three times and not been happy with my eyebrows and she kept on coming up with excuses.
If there were no stars available that is what I would give it but Unilocal makes you give one star at least.

I had an appointment today at 5:30pm with Tammy. As always, Tammy is busy when I arrive and someone else starts the process. Usually, Tammy will then take over and finish my nails for me.
Today was different. A young girl, whom I’ve never seen before does my nails from start to finish– although, I’ll mention again, my appointment was with Tammy.
She tells me that she must take my old nails completely off instead of doing a backfill because «it better for you.» I agree. First she cuts down my nails to my desired length with CLIPPERS instead of filing them down as they are covered in acrylic. She then proceeds to rip off the acrylic with CLIPPERS, soaking in pure acetone in between. I ask why she’s doing this and says this is the only way. She ends up taking my natural nails all the way down to the quick and removing all of the length that I desired.
Finally– after 45 minutes, she starts putting the acrylic back on. After 4 nails I noticed that she’s using a dark pink powder instead of the natural that I came in with. When I questioned her about it, she just gave me a blank stare. «Do you understand what I’m saying?» I asked. To which she responded yes and said that she would put the light pink or natural on for me instead, but proceeds to finish all of my nails in dark pink.
She then finishes the tips with the desired white sparkle. And begins to file… and file… and file… some nails are round, some are square, most are crooked. I ask her to correct them and she «does». She files most of my nails down so far to get my desired square shape that I don’t have any nail at all. I explain this to her and she starts to rebuild my nails by adding more acrylic.
I finally left 2 hours and 15 minutes after my appointment time with ten nails that are ten different shapes and ten different lengths. When I tried to complain to the «manager» Mike– he just shrugged his shoulders. During my appointment, I asked several times for Tammy to finish and I was just brushed off because they were busy.
I will NEVER go back. Worst customer service, worst experience I have ever had. It’s really too bad, because Tammy is great. She takes her time and does a wonderful job.

Careless and rude. I got a huge cut not even close to my cuticle. The tech didn’t even introduce herself and looked like she didn’t even want to be here. Nails polish all over my toes like a little kid did it.
The owner did apologize and redid the work

I should have gone with my first instinct and not gone here based on the reviews here. I called a place that had good reviews and they didn’t have any availability and they referred me to Creative nails.
We were in town for a wedding and this place was busy so I took that as a good sign. My mother in law and I both got pedicures and the massage and parafin and all of that was fabulous, but the polish job was horrific. I am pretty sure my 9 year old could have painted my toes better. The sides weren’t done on a few so there is a polish strip. The polish isn’t even and is bumpy and on my skin.
Of course I didn’t actually look at the polish because I enjoyed the rest of the treatment so much I decided to do a shellac manicure which I have had many times and they last 3 weeks. Seriously within 2 hours I had one nail have the polish literally fall off my nail. I’ve never seen that before.
I should have just forked over the money and gotten them done at the resort we were staying at because now I have to pay to have them redone when I get home.
Don’t go here.

Odd and unfriendly place, not to mention a minimal (lame) pedicure. Based on the reactions of the other few patrons who came in after me, I’ll bet they won’t be back either. Just weird…

The worst manicure experience I’ve ever had, and I’m still paying for it.
I use shellac on my nails and two weeks ago went in here to have them refreshed. Most salons will take the time to soak the old shellac off. The guy in here was in a hurry and used a drill. He buzzed into my nails so far that they were bright red and almost bleeding through the remains of my nails. Since then, I’ve had to cut all my nails as short as possible due to breakage. Most of them have broken but far too low on the nail and into the skin for me to even trim. I can’t use my nails for anything right now and two weeks later it still hurts to type. It’ll be at least another couple weeks before they’ve regrown and are somewhat back to normal. I’ve had painful nail experiences in the past with a drill, but never to this extent.
I should have stopped him after the first nail-​fail but I didn’t realize the extent of the damage until he was finished. I’d been pretty vocal about my discomfort through the whole process, but I just thought I was being too sensitive. Now, my nails are wavy, thin and disfigured from this experience. I’m looking into where to report the salon to the state.
If you want a good mani/​pedi experience, avoid this place at all cost.

Really NOT good! I had both manicure and pedicure. I wish I had read the reviews before going in! It was just a convenient location! My pedicure was fine, done by a man with glasses, thank you for being gentle with my injured and swollen foot! The acrylic fill by the very thin young woman was horrible! She hurt me a couple of times, the white tips are crooked, nails thick, and they are now peeling up on the edges! She just moved here from Portland, she’s not new at the occupation! There is no reason to hurt customers. The owner (? a male) was there counting money, he should have done that privately. The entire culture/​attitude was lousey, negative! I felt like customers were being treated like cattle with prods! Too bad, great location for me. Warning, read the reviews before going in! I won’t go back!

«Is this normal?»
Well, yes and no. I was desperate for a pedicure and after calling around to three other local nail salons, I finally found found space for two here.
My fellow client has had limited experience in nail salons, so I was explaining various parts of the process along the way. Hence the question above.
This salon wasn’t on par with other nail salons in my home area in terms of customer service or quality of the pedicure. They offer two types of pedicures, standard or deluxe. When we first arrived and I asked how much the pedicure would cost (not noticing the prices posted on the wall), I was told $ 35. This was the price of the deluxe version. The intentionally, or not, didn’t mention the $ 25 option.
Overall the best way I can describe the experience is chaotic. From the general state of disorder in the salon to the rotating cast of employees providing the service, it wasn’t a relaxing visit. For example, we had to purchase nail kits ($ 2) because we didn’t bring our own, but the kit was handed to the wrong customer at the end of service and the other one must have been discarded.
Aside from the issues above, one of my biggest pet peeves in salons is when they constantly try to upsell services. After the initial request to have standard pedicures, they came back multiple times trying to get us to choose the deluxe version for another $ 10, as well as other services like eyebrow waxing.
Next time I need a pedicure in Redmond, I think I’ll be a little more patient or book ahead at another salon.

I can’t even explain how horrible this place was… My girlfriend and I were trying to just get a mani and pedi. We spent 15 min in here and had to leave. we paid $ 27 to get our feet put in a noisy chair and not get our toe nails clipped or even our cuticles pushed back. It was just horrific. They didn’t even have toilet paper in the bathroom. Anyway don’t go here!!! I didn’t want to put a star but I had too.

Absolutely the worst nail place I have ever been. Went for a fill and she took my nails off and the choice was to have already colored nails for $ 38.00 or $ 45 for what they referred to as solar, God knows what that meant. So I paid $ 38 for the ugliest nails of my life.

My husband and I were in town for a vacation and after a week of tramping around in the dry heat we decided to get pedicures. I called about a half hour before we got there to make sure they accept walk-​ins. They were very friendly on the phone and let me know that getting the two of us in wouldn’t be a problem.
Completely different story once we got there! I’m used to having to wait when walking into a nail salon instead of having an appointment so it wasn’t the wait we had issue with. The problem is that we checked in with the receptionist and said we both wanted pedicures. She kinda nodded at us before walking away. There were several empty pedi chairs available and within a few minutes they were filled with the people who were there ahead of us — no biggie. There were two chairs left when a mother and daughter walked in after we had been sitting there 5 – 10 minutes. They didn’t have an appointment either and were automatically asked to sit in the two empty pedi chairs! The receptionist never told anyone we were waiting for pedicures as well.
We decided that we were going to leave and go somewhere else, as customer service is important to us. When we got out to the car one of the nail technicians who had been working on someone else came running out after us. She apologized for taking other people ahead of us since we had been waiting and said that they were taken to the chairs by mistake but that the chairs were ready for us now and asked us to come back in. Apparently the receptionist had decided to fill her in.
We appreciated the effort she made so went back in however there was only one open chair available. The other women who had been taken before us were still sitting in the chairs, though not being worked on yet. I had been told to pic out a nail color by the women who came out after us so I did. Once I picked out the color one of the nail technicians went to another lady who came after us as well and asked her to sit in the only empty chair — again completely ignoring us.
We decided to sit down and wait for a few minutes to see if we would be given an update on how long it would be but after another five minutes of being ignored by all the staff, including the women who ran after us, we just decided to leave.
The only reason the came out after us was to make sure all their waiting chairs were full, not to right a wrong. The atmosphere was chaotic and the staff quickly pushed people out the door without a system to track who was coming in to ensure people were served in order.
We decided to just wait until we go back home — by far this is the worst customer experience I have ever had at a nail salon.

Worst pedicure and even worse experience.
Made an appt for 2:30. Arrived and checked in. Waited in a chaotic entry and watched them take in 3 walk ins in front of me, despite my polite asking if they had forgotten about me.
Seated in a chair at 2:55.
The nail tech suggested I get a «spa» pedicure, which I thought meant I would receive a leg and foot massage & paraffin treatment. Apparently, what I had signed up for was having my feet coated completely in potassium hydroxide, a callous dissolving corrosive chemical and then filed with a large cheese grater. Ouch. My feet then were returned to the Luke warm foot bath prior to then being placed in a plastic bag. The tech then went to get a cup of hot paraffin and pored it directly onto my ankles bilaterally. Again, ouch. She then walked away and I attempted to massage the paraffin to cover my feet and toes.
When she returned she then skipped the nail bed prep and pre-​coat and put two sloppy coats of polish on my feet. She then got another tech to draw a flower on my big toe. At least I think it is supposed to be a flower. She also did not put the rhinestone that I paid for in the flower. I asked her about the rhinestone, prior to the top coat. She told me she put it there. It is not there.
Total cost $ 42. Total time in nail factory: 1hr 35 min. Process: first painful pedicure ever. Result: not good. Really not good. See pic. Judge for yourself. Also, the soles of my feet feel burned.
If this was the last place to get a pedicure on earth, I would never go there again. If 0 stars were an option– they would get 0 stars.

I went there with a couple friends for my birthday present and before it barely was started I was cut deep kn my second toe… ouch! It wouldn’t stop bleeding by the time they got it handled my 2 friends were done and I feel like I was jipped, they put a flower on my nail for free, bug didn’t give me any money off or a coupon to come get another one when it healed… she genuinely felt bad but not bad enough to make up for it. Hopefully I don’t develops a staph infection!

Nail techs are friendly, however their receptionist is not! I have never been pushed out of a nail saloon before. After 2 minutes if drying she had decided that I was done, grabbed my flip flops put them on my feet and showed me the door. I will not go back EVER nor would I suggest it to anyone else.

This was a Christmas gift from my family to me. I called to make an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to find an opening at that moment. Based on the previous Unilocal review, I went for it. Wow was that a mistake.
The technician’s station had not been cleaned. His own hands and nails were dirty making me very uncomfortable. I should have left but didn’t. The end result was blocky, thick nails.
I’m sorry I cannot recommend this salon.

first time i ever got my nails done in oregon. wow… its no sf where you have a nail shop on every corner. in sf… its about $ 20 -$ 25 to do a full set of acrylics. in oregon… hot damn, it jumps to $ 40 and higher! i was fortunate enough to be taken to this lovely place and get a great set of nails. the people are super nice and pay attention to when you tell them they are hurting you :) lovely family owned business that provides excellent nail services. 4 stars because i still cant get over the price tag for nails in oregon.
