Hancock’s Bakery

Picked up an order for the office this morning and the goodies were a HUGE hit! I bought a little bit of everything, bear claws, cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, cinnamon sugar muffins, etc… they were all melt in your mouth to die for! I will definitely be going back to this bakery again and will recommend them to anyone and everyone. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful with great customer service too.

Special ordered a cake for my son’s birthday. Custom artwork was great. Cake was obviously not fresh. No one ate it and we ended up throwing it out.

Thank you Hancock’s Bakery for creating the most delicious and beautiful wedding cake! Our guests could not stop talking about how tasty it was and it looked great in photos. I highly recommend Hancock’s Bakery to anyone in need — they are very accommodating, joyful and talented.

Wish I could be more enthusiastic since I’ve tried this bakery a few times and can not even say it’s okay based on several disappointing visits. Got cookies at 10am on a Monday and most tasted like crisco.
I’d picked up iced cookies at Easter and the usually ravenous kids just «tasted» the
Cookies.

Having had my lunch hijacked by my son and waiting out his nap in the car, i decided to try this bakery. I purchased several selections — coffee, nut roll which the lady recommended, GF macaroon, butter cookies, mexican wedding cake looking ones, and the few days old bagged oatmeal cookies.
Although I was very hungry, the cookie was the most stale and off tasting baked good I’ve experienced. one little bite and rest of the bag into the garbage.
Coffee was what I’d imagine very watered down burnt dirt+coffee would be. And I usually drink tea and prefer medium to light roast.
My 2yo tried the buttered cookie. One small bite and just picked off the sprinkles.
The recommended nut roll didn’t taste like anything but stale flour with little chunky pieces to chew on which had no flavor.
After that there’s no desire to try the other cookies I’ve bought.
I really wanted it to be good since it was a local non-​chain bakery that’s been around for a long while and they even carried local duck eggs for sale.

Second time coming here. I love how small and homie this bakery feels. The owners are so funny and sweet too.

Had an AWESOME experience! Ordered a white layer cake and they added custom writing for a co-​workers going away party. The cake was a big hit at work and it was DELICIOUS! The customer service was fantastic — Anyone who can be so cheery and be making jokes at 8:30 is automatically on my favorites list! I also purchased a couple thumb print cookies that were also tasty! It’s no wonder they have been in business so long — First time here but I will DEFINITELY be back!

unimpressed. The brownie tasted odd. The chocolate chip cookie was just so so, and the haystack was good, but not enough to save this review. The woman behind the counter kind of seemed like I was interupting whatever she was doing in the back when I walked in. She did inform me that they make everything in house. She just didn’t say anything about how often the baking is done. Which by the taste of my chocolate chip cookie, was a day or two ago. I really wanted to like this place, and support it. But I don’t, and I’ll probably skip it.

My girlfriend and I decided to poke our heads into this neat little joint this morning. Could not have had a better experience. This place exemplifies that personal experience that small-​businesses provide. The owner served us with a smile on his face and an obvious prideful love for his and his wife’s bakery. The prices were incredible, especially for Redmond. Haven’t tried our haystacks yet but they look and smell delicious. This place is worth anyone’s time.

We have gotten a number of cakes here and have always been happy with them.

It’s such a shame — I was hoping so many good things for this place, but the pastries that we took from here were just not good. They felt completely stale. I see so many good reviews, and maybe I’m ordering the wrong things, but I just am not having the same experience. It would have been awesome to have this place be my local go to shop for freshly baked goodies… but it’s disappointing.

I’ve gotten three birthday cakes for my son here over the years and they’ve been great. Made just to order, they were able to do great decoration just based on a printed picture (including Master Chief and a Tardis — not on the same cake!), and the cake tasted great.
Also a big fan of their baked goods. The little apple pie things are awesome, and both the apple and banana nut muffins are delicious and hard to believe they’re on the healthier side of scale, they’re so good. Cookies are great too.
Staff has always been super-​friendly as well. Occasionally they get busy and there’s a little wait, but that’s the closest I could come to a complaint. I’m ordering my son’s next cake today (which is how I ended up back on the page), and I can wholeheartedly recommend you believe the multi-​star reviews.

I purchased a cake from here for my sons birthday. It was definitely not fresh!!!
This cake had to have been a couple days old… very dry, and the butter cream frosting was a much too sweet. I should have just bought a Safeway cake or something. I could have gotten it for half as much, and I wouldn’t have been disappointed.

I drove by so many times and finally decided to try this bakery. I was surprised when I entered how small the customer area was. There were two tables outside to sit but that was it. I waited a while maybe 4 or 5 minutes before a gentleman came to help me. What was not so appetizing was the smell of cigarette smoke. Perhaps he came back from his smoke break but just my thought. I choose to buy a couple of cookies to try and also priced a birthday cake but decided not to order. He was helpful but wasn’t very friendly. The cookies were ok but not delicious. I will go back again and then post an update. Not sure if I would recommend this bakery yet. I need to
come back several more times to see if I will be able to give a better review.

Years ago a colleague was giving his kidney to a relative. At our request Hancock created a kidney-​shaped cake with «Hope They Don’t Drop It!» written on it. It was a huge success at our Kidney Party.
This is a wonderful small business that deserves your support.

The Owners here have been great to me and the staff at Gold’s Gym Redmond, they are now the bakery of choice for our employee needs. They have a quality product at an unbeatable price. Great work guys!

Friendliest guys in town! Tiny little walk in space with displays of breads, cookies and varies scones, danishes and other pastries. The cheese danish is absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted with a lightly sweetened cream cheese filled giant envelope of flaky pastry. Paired with a hot mocha, this is a delicious treat! And why not pick up some local ground coffee too!
If you try the scones, know that they are not sweet. And don’t get a craving on a Monday, they are closed.

It’s truly a shame. I’ve tried three times to give this place my business. First time I went, they were closed because of their odd days being closed. Second time I went during posted business hours and no one was present. Third time I tried to go was the Saturday before Labor Day, only to find out that these people decided to close for a 4 day weekend.
I mean, it’s good that they’re successful enough that they can afford to be so lackadaisical about their hours of business, but I’d rather spend money at a business that is open when they’re supposed to be, than come back a fourth time trying to give them my money.

I prefer to give my money to local businesses and this one is always a great choice!
I’ve ordered the pastries, pies and cookies and have never been disappointed.
The owners are always friendly, helpful and appreciative of my business.
I buy from them every month (work related parties) and love that they offer a once monthly 20% coupon from my Entertainment book.
