Hi, My name is Amy and I am the NEW owner of HappyNest Play Centers LLC as of November 2014. After 2 years of running my Baby Boutique out of the HappyNest location I decided that it was the natural sequence of event to take over the Play Center when it became available. I have 12 + years experience in teaching children preschool — 2^nd grade and have been raising my 2 amazing sons for the past 8 years. I believe that with my education and experience I can continue to make HappyNest a wonderful place for you and your children.

The goal of the play center is to create a community through sharing knowledge and experiences while allowing children to move, imagine and play with other children, in a safe, enriching and kid-friendly atmosphere.

This area was okay for my 2 year old. We have about the same amount of toys for his age at home so I wasn’t so impressed. The infant section seemed nice though. The toys were dirty, the woman working there just put toys back but didn’t actually clean anything. We left at the end of the day and she left the same time. The couch was comfortable.

We hosted a birthday party for our 2 year old and it was amazing! The place was super clean and everything was ready for us on time. The owner was working there that day and she helped us get the party food organized, was involved for the party and very helpful for whatever we, or the kids needed.
The toys are just right for a little kids, and my son had a blast! His favorite was the roller coaster toy which he probably did 20 times or more over the party. He also enjoy the Thomas train set, ball pit and the slide a lot as well. All his little friends were all smiles and running around the whole time. I would recommend this place to host a birthday party for little kids any time!

This place is incredible. It’s clean, organized, small enough that you can check Facebook while your kids are playing, but not too big that your kids can wander away from eye sight. The owner is the one working the counter and is so kind. She was a former teacher so she totally gets it. There are ball pits and slides but also smaller toys on shelves for the kids to choose from. There is even homemade play dough and arts and crafts if you bring along the older kids.
I have been to every play place in Seattle and so far this place is by far the cleanest. It’s definitely geared toward younger kids, probably 4 and younger. She didn’t charge me for my 8 month old because he isn’t crawling yet-so she had flexibility, something the play place in Lynwood does not! They sell adorable handmade goods from local sellers, and a lot of reusable diaper covers (sorry, not sure what they are actually called-we are a disposable diaper family!).
All in all, I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I wish she would open them everywhere!

I am not sure why people have had an unpleasant experience. I have visited this play area 10+ times (purchased the pass) and have been nothing but pleased. My 4 year old and 1 year old have plenty of fun there. The owner is a wonderful lady and has 2 boys who also play there all the time without being aggressive. They are super well behaved. I have seen the owner always wash and clean the teething toys. I am there always in the PM, close to closing time. So I have seen her clean up very well.
There is large variety of toys n puzzles. The roller coaster is the best.
Would recommend this place to all. I also like this place as it has long hours of open play unlike other places where its 2 hrs. So u have plan accordingly. Here its like, whenever the kids are bored, just go.

I have taken my nanny baby here a few times and have had numerous bad experiences, to the point where I will not be returning.
First– I am unsure how often toys get cleaned but it seemed dirty overall, and if you’re going to have kids crawling on the floors they should be somewhat clean.
A couple of weeks ago I came in and was told their credit card machine was down temporarily, I didn’t have cash but offered to get some and then return. The receptionist declined that offer but then kept questioning why I didn’t «at least bring cash»? Seemed very unprofessional.
I returned 2 weeks later, thinking that the temporary problem had been resolved, but it wasn’t and again a different lady treated me the same way, as if it is my fault their equipment isn’t working.
Every time, no matter who is working they sit on their phones the entire time I’m there (usually there for at least an hour), with the condition of the place, they could pick up more frequently.

I will only take my kids here when I have a Groupon, as any higher price would be way too much. My kids enjoy going, but I’m usually not impressed. A young girl used to work there and was always very friendly and informative, but I haven’t seen her in sometime. She was the reason we came back as she made us feel very welcome. I’ve seen other women working, one was rolling her eyes and sighing loudly while returning the blue balls to the pit, another one her phone most of time we were there. It just feels very uncomfortable most of the time.
If they would engage more with patrons and work on keeping the place clean and sanitary, that would be move in the right direction.

I brought my 6 month old son in today with some other moms and from the moment we walked in I was unimpressed. The website talked about food and coffee, it was literally a Keurig machine with a $ 1 sign next to it and food where cereal bars.
Their credit card machine was down when we came in so it took a few minutes to check us in and she wasn’t very nice. She didn’t even say welcome or explain where to go. It was super strange.
Once we got to the baby section, it was not cut off so all the older kids kept coming in and bothering the little babies. Very annoying to be honest. In addition, the carpets seemed filthy. I was also unsure of the cleanliness of the toys so I pulled out own toys. It was definitely not worth the $ 10 I paid. I don’t see this place open much longer.
Do not go here if you are looking for a nice coffee and mom hang out with the babies. You can just go to a park, coffee shop, and save your $ 10.

We booked my son’s 3^rd birthday celebration at Happy Nest and while it was a great party and the kids had a blast (that’s why I gave three stars) I wouldn’t book here again for a few reasons.
First, I had no problem with being required to bring the plates, cups, etc for the adults (included with package for the children) but there is a very very small space to set up the plates, food, cake, etc. it’s basically the top of a long bookshelf.
Next, the party package is for 2 hours ($ 259), we were allowed in 15 minutes early to set up, that’s right…15 minutes… And were charged an extra $ 50 because we were not out the door at the end of the two hours. There is no time allowed for packing up and clearing out so if we hadn’t agreed to pay the extra, we would have been pushing the guests out the door. Am I wrong to think there should be some time allowed for clearing out after the end of the party? I don’t think so.
Finally, the staff member sat at the front desk playing on her phone the whole time. It was tacky.
So, yes, the most important thing is that my son and his friends had a really fun time playing and so I’m thrilled with that, I’d recommend this place for rainy days and play dates to anyone with a child 6 months to 5 years old, but could have been much more impressed with the customer service.

Pros: it’s a good place to take your kids on rainy day to get out of the house. They have an enclosed area for babies. The mess stays there instead of your own home
Cons: the space is small and many of the toys in the baby section are the same as you have at home so why pay $ 10 for 3 hours to play with stuff you have at home. Although the baby section is closed off. It was only closed off by baby gates which the older kids knew how to open and ran through the baby section often.
This place might be better for kids 2 years and older. I still feel it is over priced for such a small area and limited time.

On a rainy Sunday morning, I decided to check this place out since KidsQuest was closed and I didn’t feel like fighting crowds at Wiggleworks. It was less than impressive – especially since it is the same price as KidsQuest and Wiggleworks. The toy selection good, but everything feels pretty well loved and not super clean. There is no bucket for mouthed toys.
The only staff member who just sat at the front desk and looked at Facebook on her phone. She clean up or organize toys, so after a short while the place was a mess.
The place is small. When we left there were 8 kids + 8 parents there and it was starting to feel pretty full. The baby area isn’t connected to the main area. There is one gate, but there are two doors to the baby area. So it would not be a good place for young baby when it was crowded.
It is okay alternative to be stuck in the house on a rainy day, but it will be quite a while before I would come back.

After reading some positive reviews I decided to try it out mainly because I was in the neighborhood. My 2 year old was happy I guess, but I was just not impressed. The place is very small (which can be a good thing for small infants so that they are not overwhelmed) but very poorly maintained, small kids were mouthing toys everywhere (no special bin for mouthing toys and looked like the toys were not cleaned as often as one would expect) and only one staff (very disinterested) member who was surfing the web in the front desk. The stuffed dolls looked visibly dirty and the small pillow area for stuffed toys was so dirty, like they are not washed even regularly. The policy said socks required, but saw many mothers without socks,
This was overpriced, better to spend money in other indoor play areas or children’s museums.

My husband and I brought our 12mo old here to play on a rainy Monday. I was disappointed the minute that I walked in. It is very small and when we walked in I felt we were somehow interrupting an in home playdate between a few moms with crawlers. The staff person seemed to be inattentive to incoming customers and when she did engage she had her knees tucked up on her stool. The $ 10 for 3 hours seems high for the space and activities (comparing with other indoor playgrounds that have much bigger space, all day entry, and a café).

Love this place and so does my 2 year old.
Very clean. There’s an infant area too. Not too big and overwhelming which is nice. Feels like home in a way but with more toys. I believe it’s $ 10 for 3 hours max which is still a good deal. My son usually plays for about two hours. You can bring your own snacks and drinks and have a snack break in the snacking area.

This was small but everything looked very clean and neat. It was a sunny beautiful day so there was only one mama and a couple babies with her there. The great thing is they have a big selection of cloth diaper accessories including Thirsties diaper covers. I saw Ergos, Moby wraps and some other baby carriers. They also had sun hats and assorted other baby stuff for sale. I would be interested to see how it is on a rainy day when the clerk said it would be much busier.

I took my 4 year old and 19 month old here last weekend and they loved it. The roller coaster, ball pit and slide were big hits. It’s a smallish space so I wouldn’t want to be there when it’s too super busy. It was decently full and it was still manageable. We were there on Sunday when they close at 1pm and it cleared out earlier than that even. Lunchtime I suppose! I sometimes think places like this charge a bit too much, but I’ll take my kids back there again. Just not weekly.
Some things:
*Parents — make sure you wear socks too; I showed up in just Toms and had to buy a pair of socks
*They could use more space for hanging coats. They were kind of everywhere.
*I don’t know why all of these places think they have to have a little store area, but due to the small space it could be better utilized. The entry way gets crowded quickly.
*Mostly young kids so 4 is probably the max age. Plenty of babies and toddlers.

This is an ok play area but nothing special. I felt that it was quite small and lacking based on the price they charge. It was 10.00 for the first child and 6.00 for the second that only included 3 hrs of play. Generally play places that charge this amount allow for all day play and let you leave and come back. The baby gates were also not properly functioning and the kids could open them and walk through. It was clean and my kids seemed to enjoy it but the price needs to come down before we visit it again.

This place is great! I have an 18m old and a 4m old and this is the one place I can let my oldest one run around and play without worrying about his safety or overcrowding from public play areas. The facility is very clean and there is a lot of toys for toddlers to play with. There is also the added bonus of hanging out with some other mamas who are there for the same reason.
