Specialties

Serving Central OR since 1992, shoppers love our hand picked selection of books. We’re a general bookstore with an outstanding selection for enjoying the great outdoors our area has to offer — hiking, birding, nature literature — you name it, — the best selection of books about the people and history of Central OR, — a super selection of books for young readers, and fiction of all sorts. Use our staff picks to discover a surprisingly good read.

And if we don’t have what you are looking for, we can typically get it within a day or two!

We host author presentations on a regular basis, providing seating, refreshments, and a drawing for a free copy of the featured book.

In addition to the best book selection we also offer a fantastic array of games for the whole family (Ticket to Ride to Risk), toys for the younger set (Melissa & Doug galore), and an array of unique gift items that will please a diversity of folks.

History

Established in 2007.

Our flagship store in Sisters was established in 1992, and our Redmond location opened in 2007.

Since opening in Redmond we’ve worked to win the loyalty of our local area residents, and have enjoyed gaining fans who visit Central Oregon. Together with other downtown merchants and the City we have been working to revitalize this downtown and make it a beautiful place to dine and shop.

We created our Redmond store nearly from the ground up. It is bright and easy to shop our fine selection of new and used books. We offer the same fine personal service that helped our Sisters store become a literary mecca in Central Oregon. Stop by today and discover a great read, or pick up that perfect gift.

Meet the Business Owner

Brad S.

Business Owner

After spending 25 years managing a cooperatively owned grocery store I was looking for a new way to serve a community of people who were passionate about what I could offer. Books was a good transition from food.
