Their customer service is seriously lacking. I am in the process of moving to that area and saw some furniture I wanted on Craig’s List. I was willing to pay for it in advance and then come get it once I got there in a couple of weeks and they refused to help me. They will only accept payment in the store because they are worried about getting«screwed over». I would be in more danger of getting screwed over than them. I offered to pay up front before even seeing the stuff in person. How is that any risk for them??? I really liked what I saw on Craig’s List, but they lost my business when I need quite a few things since I’m selling off my current belongings.

This is a store that can’t quite figure out what it wants to be. It has a second hand store feel, goods like a thrift store, and prices like a pawn shop. The customer service was a cross between a pawn shop and a snooty, artsy-fartsy boutique. Why it is like a pawn shop: The front counter area has a mishmash of overpriced coins, tokens, jewelry, knives and other collectible-type items. Fun stuff to look at and certainly interesting, but definitely not priced to sell. When I asked questions about a couple of the items, the dude behind the counter seemed to be put off. He wasn’t unfriendly, but I got the impression either questions weren’t welcome or I was unqualified to ask them. He sort of spoke down to me(ergo, boutique store feel). Why it is like a second hand store: The main area of the store has some nice household items that are priced higher than equivalent items one might find at a thrift store. There is no junk, however. The dishes and glassware in the cases along the far wall had some nice, decently-priced items in it. Why it is like a thrift store: There is a good selection of DVDs(around $ 3 each) and the back area of the store has tools, appliances, accessories, books and stuff you can find in bulk in any thrift store. The prices are in line with most thrift stores. I won’t go out of my way to come back. While there is some cool stuff to look at, I just don’t feel welcome and can find equivalent items for less at other stores in the area.

Prices are okay, very friendly staff but it could use a bit organizing and cleaning.

I think at one time this was a pawn shop. In fact it still has the pawn shop bars on the windows but now it seems more like a second hand store with less high dollar items. They sell most DVDs for $ 3 and lots of costume jewelry, not much in the way of gold jewelry a couple of sets of pearls and such. There were quite a few tools and such and way in the back there was furniture. Housewares and books, etc., reside in the front area. We were on the hunt for costume accessories for this year or next you never know what you will find. We picked up a couple of items(a great selection of sunglasses) and a few DVDs and were on our way for $ 13. A fun little outing. I would stop back again.

I just found Perry’s yesterday. This is a pretty cool 2nd hand store. While Perry’s prices are on par with many thrift stores, it’s merchandise for the most part is several steps above. They had furniture, house hold goods, jewelry, books — both vintage and newish, electronics, tools, and even a super cool working pachinko game! There are many treasures to be found. Also, the ladies who work there are super nice. I definitely will shop there again. :)
