Redmond Cycle

We love it! Our daughter needed a new bike and this time instead of just ordering on Amazon, we went to the experts. Harris was phenomenally helpful and patient as our little girl changed her mind more than once. He put the training wheels on, adjusted her new helmet for the safest fit, and got the handlebars perfectly situated. We will definitely be returning.

Brought my bike here to get tuned up. I enjoyed their January special, and they were very up front about what additional costs I should expect, as I was needing quite a bit done. They e-​mailed me the invoice when it was done so I knew exactly how much it was when I picked up. Overall, a really good experience!

Located on trail to Château St Michelle & Red Hook Brewery. Six easy miles there & the same with a little swagger return. Beer is brewery fresh and they make a great Pilsner at Redhook. Back to bikes. Large full service shop with knowledgeable people. Love this place. Very inexpensive.

We just had a great experience with Redmond Cycle! We are beginner cyclers and knew that we didn’t want to spend a fortune and weren’t going for the gold in terms of our bike needs. We were looking for two comfortable bikes that would get us around town and let us enjoy some of the local trails. The staff at Redmond Cycle was so helpful from the second we walked in the door! After showing us some bikes and explaining the options that would best fit our needs, we stepped out of the store and visited three other stores in the area to compare prices and see what else was out there. After visiting other stores, we quickly returned to Redmond Cycle to purchase our new bikes and gear. So happy we made our purchase with them and so happy they’re in the neighborhood for repairs, maintenance, future purchases, etc. I would highly recommend Redmond Cycle to any of my friends or family! We appreciated the time and attention we received.

Bought my bike here 5 years ago at the old location. They recommended a Giant hybrid for under $ 350 and it has served me very well in 5 years. No problems at all until today it got a flat. I brought it in and literally in less than 5 minutes, they got me a new tube and fixed it all up. $ 19 including tax and I’m out the door ready to enjoy the sunny day. Staff is very nice and quick! Oh and their new showroom is WAY better than the old one.

This is a very nice family owned bike shop. I am a new customer to this shop and was impressed to meet one if the owners who went out of her way to help me try out new bikes. I haven’t decided when I’m going to buy a bike but plan to come back and buy it from this shop.
I’m rating it four stars for now since I’m new to them and will come back and update my review after a few more visits.

I’m a Microsoft intern, and was looking for a bike to commute to work each day as well as use in my off time for nice bike rides and exercise for the duration of the summer. Everyone in the store was very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. They are very interested in making you as happy as possible, rather than getting the most money from you, which was not the same at other bike shops I had visited. There prices were very competitive as well. They let you test ride as many bikes as you want to, adjusting each one to fit your size before you give it a spin. It took me two days to decide, and each day was after work, so it was close to their closing time. Both days, they stayed after hours to help me out, it was great.
TLDR: Helpful, caring, and competitive, Redmond Cycle stood out among other bike shops in the area. Highly recommended.

This is my first review and I am really quite sad that this review is a negative one.
I am overweight and have been contemplating buying a bike for some time and always intended on going to Redmond Cycle because they are a locally owned business. So I did my research and have narrowed it down to 3 different bikes, with that information in hand I stopped in so I could see the bikes in person and ask some additional questions I couldn’t find answers for online.
Just after 3:00 today I pulled in and noticed there were some people outside trying out bikes. I walk in and I am alone in the Store, except for the 2 guys who I can see are talking in the back office. I meander around for several minutes, stop to look at several bikes, passing in front of their line of vision several times. No acknowledgement. So I move towards the front of the store, thinking that if they thought I was leaving one of them would leave the office and at least greet me. I spend another couple of minutes checking out the bikes in the front right (west) side of the store. By now almost 10 minutes had passed and no one had even acknowledged that I was in the store.
Then a gentleman in bike gear and a bike helmet walked in and went to the counter. Now one of them comes out from the office and greets him, still no acknowledgement for me. Now, I’m no longer irritated, I’m just MAD. I decided it was time to leave. As I am walking out, the second ‘back office’ guy finally appears and tries to greet me, to my back. (yes, I heard you.), «Hi how are you doing today?» I keep walking, «Ma’am?», still walking, «uh, OK”(with a bit of an attitude.)
I am being really specific so the 2 guys will be able to recall exactly what the scenario was, and I offer this advise from someone who worked retail for 7 years. When someone enters your store and is browsing, at the minimum you should greet them within the first minute. Especially when you are in plain site of said potential Customer. Then, when said potential Customer is completely ignored for almost 10 minutes and you suddenly appear to greet a second Customer., don’t be surprised if the first Customer feels a bit offended.
So yes, I heard you trying to greet me as I was walking away, but what did you think? Did you think I was there shopping on YOUR time? No, I was shopping on MY time and you both demonstrated that according to your behavior, my time is not important. I
side note: There was another guy working there today, but he was outside helping other customers during this time.

I have bought every single one of my bikes from them. I love to support the little guys, and I am happy to do so. They are quiet knowledgeable, friendly and have a great selection of bikes and gear. I am also very happy with their ability to service my bike and keep it moving in tip top condition.

I’ve brought my commuter bike in for several minor and major repairs over the past few years, and always had the best experiences at Redmond Cycle. They’d often get me the parts I’d needed swapped in on the spot so I could hit the trail, be it tubes or wheels or bearing casings or lights or just random missing bolts. I usually like to try and do this stuff myself, but they’re so quick and efficient it’s hard to justify not spending the nominal labor charge for them to just take care of it.
Much friendlier service and less fuss than the times I took it to REI or Performance Bicycle, plus it’s been even more conveniently (re)located right off the Sammamish River Trail.

I’ve been a customer here for about 10 years. This is a local family owned and run shop. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and provide excellent service and maintenance. They also carry great product lines. I am never hesitant to recommend them to my friends.

Stopped to grab some stuff I ordered online and wound up buying more. Dennis was really helpful as we’re the other staff.

I have not bought a bike from Redmond cycle, but have purchased parts and obtained service. A couple weeks ago I rode in to ask for some help adjusting my bike as I was feeling some discomfort in various joints. I give them props for making some small adjustments and suggestions, but take a star off for refusing to put me on the trainer even though I offered to pay for it. I did end up buying handlebar ends to give me more riding variety and the suggestion on my cleat positions did help. While I was waiting for the handlebar end installation I wandered around checking out the new bikes. They have a good variety and might be the place I got for when I’m ready to buy a high quality road bike.

I have purchased 2 bikes from Redmond Cycles and both have been great experiences. I highly recommend checking them out for all of your cycling needs !

I needed a new wheel and nobody locally had the right one for some reason (REI, Gerk’s, Element) but went to Redmond cycle and they had one, so I was stoked about that, and then the shop guy Braden (sp?) swapped the tube, tire, and cassette over from my old wheel quickly and for free and trued the wheel. It would have taken me a lot longer to do that and I would have had to buy some tools, so that was a great help and got me back on the trails earlier than I expected. Friendly service too.
I can’t speak to the prices/​bike selection really, I’ll maybe have more to add on that in the future.

Staff was pretty helpful. New location is nice. Pretty good selection of bikes and supplies. Still waiting for a call back to get fitted (eg it’s been 48 hours.)

After a poor experience at Performance Cycle, we had a wonderful experience here. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted, the woman was very knowledgable, and she seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. In a matter of 5 minutes, we were in and out, my son’s bike purchased.

I really want to like these guys, I really do. They seem like a small shop owned locally, maybe even a family business? Not a big chain, and everyone in there was always very nice to me when I went in.
However, they don’t really know anything about bikes. At least not the guys I keep talking to. I’ve gone in many times over the last year looking for my first road bike, as I have other stores in the area. While these guys are nice and polite, they always have their facts wrong. One guy is particularly bad, quoting features on bikes that don’t exist, or saying options aren’t available when they are.
For example, confusing SRAM with Sora, or claiming a bike comes only in a triple when it was also available in a compact.
I could go on, but my point is: I want the guys at the LBS to know a heck of a lot more than I do about bikes. If I have to keep correcting them, they’re certainly not helping me make a decision to pick the right bike. And I would doubt I could go to them with all the questions I have about biking that other shops seem to be so much more knowledgeable about.
FWIW I ended up buying a bike from Gregg’s.

I recently took my ’57 mint Schwinn Wasp in to have it put back together after shipping it from the east coast. I had them add a back rack from a ’58 Phantom that I’d procured while they were at it. It was promised by Friday and actually finished 4 days ahead of schedule.
But the youngster who worked on the bike scarred the back fender, so the bike isn’t mint any more, with a 1 by .5″ scrape. He was very apologetic about it but geesh. The store gave me a $ 75 discount off the work and offered to take it to their paint shop, but I think I’ll do the work.
The bike is back in fine running order, but I don’t think I’ll be going back. There was a little girl and her dad buying a brand new Trek and although they remembered the water bottle, the salesperson did not recommend a lock. WTH?
