Sixty-01 Association of Apartment Owners

I’ve been a residential real estate broker for over 10 years and have helped many clients both buy and sell at Sixty-​01. I can tell you from countless experiences with hundreds of HOAs in the greater Puget Sound that Sixty-​01 is top notch. Honestly, far and away the absolute best. I’m not a resident and I cannot speak to the different opinions some of the homeowners have in the community but I can comment that they are incredibly responsive, very organized, and — above all else — they are kind.
As an agent who has to pester HOAs for minuscule information constantly, I can attest to the fact that the people on the front-​end of these HOAs quite possibly have one of the most stressful jobs I know. Nevermind the size of a community and the increasing amount of calls/​emails/​requests that given community’s HOA receives daily, after awhile you can really see how most people do not last long in this line of work before their patience and tolerance get the best of them. That being said, Sixty-​01 has something like 770 units in the complex and at least 5 units for sale at any given time. I’ve been in that office many times and that phone rings off the hook. I’ve had incredible experiences with one employee in particular, Jami, but I can honestly say that everyone in there deserves a pat on the back.
They’ve got a difficult job to treat everyone’s needs top priority and they try harder than any other HOA I’ve seen to live up to that challenge. 5 stars from someone on the outside looking in — and one who doesn’t necessarily warrant the first-​class service every time they call to pester :)

I’ve rented a townhome for the past 3 years and have had a great experience. The property is very beautiful and spacious (83 acres). It’s a great community to live in and ideal for my family with very friendly staff, many amentiies, pools, lake, safety, and easy access to downtown Redmond. I’ve only had minor maintenance issues and they were taken care of immediately. I rent a 1 bedroom townhome that has an amazing view from the upstairs of the lake. My only minor complaint is that I wish there was more natural light downstairs, but it’s due to our location. I would highly recommend living here.

Regarding below comment on snow– there was a lot of snow A LOT! It was handled the best they could. It’s not normal to get this much snow– everyone was struggling–
This is a beautiful place to live– unfortunately the HOA sucks, board members do not do anything to help the owners– there has been 3 fires in the past year plus other incidents claimed with insurance– they have been dropped twice and now they are telling homeowners– your $ 300 plus dues will not go up– however, we are now making everyone pay for our insurance premiums! Yes! That is correct– you read it correctly! An additional $ 200 plus on top of the dues– on top of the mortgage!
I have written in letters, emails, complaints to different administrations and I’ve notified JESSE!
The board responded that they are eager to see me volunteer on the board– pretty much that was all
** this place is beautiful ** but only if you can afford the increase in dues and other fees they will tack on–

Boy, have things gone downhill. First off, they raised our HOA fees (which were already outrageous) but the overall look and care of the property has gone downhill in a hurry. I fear that our money is going right into the pockets of the people at the top of the HOA.
Secondly, they have made a crusade to make life hell for the homeowners living here. I have been threatened with fines for everything from leaving my garbage can out a day before garbage pick-​up to having a hummingbird feeder. A HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER.
These people are psychotic. They nitpick for every little thing the residents do, while at the same time never fixing anything on-​site. If they’re that worried about property values, you’d think they’d fix the gaping twelve-​foot hole they ripped up in the concrete when a sewer main broke six months ago. Yup, six months and they haven’t done a damn thing to fix it. To anyone hoping to find a home here, go elsewhere. I’ve heard of nightmare HOA’s before, but these people really take the cake.

Snow/​ice removal is unconscionable!

Have never lived anywhere for more than 3 years UNTIL HERE. Been here 13 years because I have loved it. They’ve got a clubhouse that serves meals, a pool table, four swimming pools, three lakes, fitness center, horse shoe court, p-​patches, racquetball /​handball court, RV storage, tennis, volleyball, security gates, 770 units, adults only, roving security, very clean, covered parking, and 83 acres of beautiful beautiful trees! Selling and moving only because of family responsibilities. LOVED it here.
