They have an excellent collection of plush to firm mattress. Bob and his employee were very nice and did not force us to buy anything. Their prices were also very reasonable compared to sleep country and savvy mattress. One of the best local shops in the area.

Bob gave me a screamin’ deal on a Pure Latex Bliss World’s Best Mattress AND a 2″ Pure Latex Bliss topper. I had a bit of a communication problem w/​the Issaquah location, but Bob took care of it immediately when I called and talked to him. I have severe congenital spine issues, spine pain and am lean and boney. My 2 year young very $$$ BeautyRest Black mattress was KILLING me regardless of what memory foam topper I used. About 6 weeks ago, I splurged on a Pure Latex Bliss mattress. It’s beyond amazing. Suddenly after years of having problems w/​my bed, my bed is a non-​issue. I wake up in the morning and I DON’T HURT. I NEVER wake up w/​hip pain in the night, which I was doing 3 – 5 times each night and had been for years. I’d have to shift to try to get comfortable again. It’s the best thing I could have ever found. Even w/​my slight build, I have LOTS of mattress contact and sink in to experience PLB’s World’s Best Bed. It’s soft, comfy AND supportive. It appears the materials in the BeautyRest were the cause of my post nasal drip, which I no longer have. Latex is a natural product made from the rubber tree and the ‘nasal drip’ I had for YEARS is GONE. I had no idea it was from the BeautyRest. Bob’s knowledge and service at Six Day are superb, second to none. Elmer’s Express Delivery is an A+ first class delivery service, making my experience w/​Six Day Mattress PERFECT. I wouldn’t shop for a mattress anywhere else. If you are in need of a mattress, you’ll want to check out Six Day Mattress. It’s the only place that truly KNOWS mattresses and actually BACKS their products. Where else are you going to find that when mattress shopping? My experience is NO WHERE else. They are worth traveling from anywhere to check them out and talk to Bob.

I was very happy with 6-​Day Mattress Store. Josh is very nice and helpful and knowledgeable about the mattresses. They let me lay on mattresses for about an hour so I could make sure I picked the right one.

Ok so we’ve had the bed for a week now and our bodies are getting use to it. By the morning we don’t even want to get out of bed. When laying on showroom floor models, remember that you’ll be putting a protector or mattress cover then sheets. That will make the pillow top much firmer than what you experience on the showroom floor. If I could go back I might get a bit softer pillowtop.
We are going to keep this mattress but the firmness is what we are getting use to and I’m sure it will be fine. We are still happy with our purchase. The delivery guys (Elmer’s Express) were 2 days early, communicated extremely well making this buying process an even better experience through 6 day mattress store. They really have earned their 5 star rating across the board.

We purchased the TLC Somerton Super Pillow Top king size. (TLC is owned by Serta) for $ 1,000. All other beds we liked at other mattress stores were at least $ 2,000 more than this.

This was a bit of a drive from south Seattle but well worth it. We’ve been shopping for a new bed for the last year and finally settled here for several reasons.
1.) *We finally found the perfect bed for us!!! Great beds at the right price.
2.) Knowledgeable associates (but no pressure)
3.) After all our research and visits to other stores this line of beds held the highest standards for the value.
After laying on over 100 showroom floor beds in at least 10 stores we found the Somerthon to be just as bit as comfortable as the more expensive ones at Macy’s and Sleep country but for about 1k less. Incase you are curious, we chose the KING SOMERTON SPT MATTRESS
They had a nice selection of every type of pillow, so we got one. We also got a mattress cover (Dri-​Tech 5.1). it’s water proof to help protect our new mattress.

We haven’t purchased a bed here yet but will be visiting soon. A guy named Josh took a good 15 minutes talking with me on the phone and answering my questions. We are in South Seattle and have visited a few mattress stores. All were good experiences, but when you start looking at reviews of coil mattresses and price such as our favorite bed so far (Black series beauty rest firm luxury) we found alot of concern over failure of the product over a 3 to 6 year time frame. $ 4k for a king size bed is quite an investment for only 3 to 6 years of return. Josh helped educate us on a few other choices so I’ll update this after we visit them.
Buying a mattress sucks, but when you take into account that you spend over a 3^rd of your life sleeping and your over all health from said sleep and financial cost involved it’s very important to do the research and get it right the first time.

Bob, the owner of the place is a very honest and straight-​forward guy who’d tell you what to get if you tell him what you are looking for in a mattress. He won’t try to sell you a mattress right away and push you like other sales people do. He is totally fine when you say you need time to think about it and come back. We bought a very nice mattress at his store. He offered it at a great price and we really liked our customer service!

My husband and I spontaneously decided to visit the 6 Day Mattress Store today while we were in Redmond. We had the pleasure of talking with Bob and are SO glad that we stopped in! Bob knows a ton about mattresses and we got the sense that he truly wanted to help us find the right match. He asked great questions and guided us towards options that would save us money within his own store. Who does that anymore? Wow, want to meet an honest business owner? Go visit Bob. He also gave us the name of a trusted website to visit if we wanted to do even more research on mattresses from an unbiased 3^rd party. The store isn’t super fancy and he doesn’t advertise so he can pass more savings on to his customers.
We felt so great after spending time with Bob that there’s no doubt we will be back to buy our mattress at the 6 Day Mattress Store and will be referring family, friends and clients there without hesitation.

Lovely customer service! We had previously come here to buy a mattress, but now we wanted a mattress topper to make the bed a little less firm. After discussing what we wanted, we were advised that we could get something that would work but cheaper elsewhere. We really appreciate that honesty, and it saved us hundreds of dollars!
We did buy some nice pillows from the shop though! There are a whole bunch of different types they have in stock, and to help you find the perfect pillow you can test drive them out on a bed which best matches the firmness of your bed at home.
There’s a parking lot out front that they share with Subway. There’s also a discount on pillows for checking in on Unilocal at the store!

We just bought and received our new king sized latex bed. The whole process was relaxing, personal, and no pressure. Our 11 month old baby came with us and was given a little bed bug stuffed animal to play with while we looked around. They know their stuff — how a mattress should hold your body, what type of sleeper you are, etc., and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We even bought our pillows there, which are heaven. The mattress arrived with no problems, and we are very happy with our purchase.

I just bought my second mattress from Bob. I could have gone to any mattress store but I came back because of the excellent customer service they provide. Bring your business here and you will receive zero sales pressure. They will listen carefully to your needs and budget and will find you the right mattress for a great night’s sleep. I also love that they put an emphasis on carrying local and made on the USA products whenever possible. I am sleeping great on my new bed and will continue to support and recommend this local business.

This is an example of how a good company provides excellent customer service when a customer’s first purchase doesn’t go so well:
Have you ever made a purchase you felt great about and slowly over time, you came to loath the very product you thought you loved? That is the box-​spring mattress we purchased two years ago from The 6 Day Mattress Store. We thought, wow, only two years in and this mattress sucks! We were a little bit upset about the quality but willing to learn from our poor choice in product and went BACK to the 6 Day Mattress Store to make a better choice. Ariel wasn’t happy to see me back so soon. In fact, I think the question she asked was: «You need to replace the SAME mattress I JUST sold you?!»
She wasn’t having it. Ariel and Bob worked with us to not only find a mattress we loved but to return our crappy little mattress to the manufacturer under warranty for FULL credit towards our new purchase! The product we first purchased was an exception and i would not warn anyone away from that particular brand or style but this time we chose a latex mattress instead of another innerspring mattress. It was nice to walk into a business and have the staff listen to our frustrations and respond: «you know, you’re probably right and here is how we can fix it!»
We LOVE our new latex mattress! I am pleased I went BACK to the 6 Day Mattress Store — their service continued to amaze even in the face of a less than happy customer. We may not have chosen the right mattress the first time but we chose the right mattress store.
[FYI: It also helps when you are not a jerk of a customer so don’t be a jerk. I’m sure they can handle jerks too but my happy experience came easy because I was polite not because I screamed, whined and badgered my way into a better deal. I’m just say’n…]

Here is a 4.5 year update: I am on the hunt for a new mattress, which is the primary reason for the down grade in rating. I have NOT got back to the store to experience the service, but here are my reasons why I downgraded it.
At the point of purchase (which I was happy about) I was told that I wouldn’t have to rotate my organic cotton memory foam (latex?) bed — which had made me very happy and also very naïve. But it is a fairly heavy bed, and as a single gal, it’s not something I enjoy doing all the time. Granted I still did after about a year… At this point I don’t know if it’s 100% my fault for not rotating my bed more, or simply believing what I was told.
2 years into the buying the bed I noticed that I sunk in to the bed, and could no longer sleep for more than 4 hours at a time unless I was dead tired. I pulled up my warranty and found out the bed was not covered because apparently it was normal to have sink age/​settling of material. So now I’m stuck with a big heavy lug of a bed and a completely wasted investment.
I have literally curled up in the corners of my bed trying to find a position in which I do not end up rolling in towards the center (Impossible I usually just end up in the center cavern and climb out at morning). I have even flipped the bed underside up and put a pillow top on top to try and sleep on it that way (do not recommend).
Although I did pay less than $ 1000 for my bed, I do feel quite a bit betrayed by my mattress, and can’t help but be a little frustrated at the store too. I got about 3 years of sleep out of the mattress (spent about 2 years overseas) and am already looking for a new one ASAP, and am left back at the start of my original dilemma, what mattress to buy and who can I trust?

Bob is my hero. I was searching in vain for a new mattress since my old mattress of 10 years was out of commission. Bob, very much knows the business of what mattress will best fit your needs. I went through two beds through Sears, buying beds from associates who had no idea which mattress was a good fit.
Having the right mattress is heaven and sleeping on the wrong mattress is just plain horrible. I recommend the Bob and his staff without hesitation. Plus the price point was reasonable (remember though, you are paying for quality).

Great experience shopping here! My dad and I went in because both of us need new beds. My dad is in treatment for cancer and tires easily. Mattress shopping doesn’t sound like it should be tiring (because you get to lie down so much), but it really is. What I LOVED about Six Day Mattress was that neither of us were subjected to the hard sell. Both of us pretty much knew what we wanted and Josh showed us where to find the ones we were interested in and (most importantly) in the price range we had said we wanted. He never tried to upsell us. Then he left us alone. He didn’t go too far away — he stayed visible so that when we had questions, he could answer them; man definitely knew his stuff.
Out of a sense of obligation, I guess, we then tried out the name-​brand place down the street. Big mistake — huge. I’ll write up that review on their page — but I’ll just say here that it made us realize what a gem Six Day Mattress is.
Went back the next day with my mom so that she could make the final decision. Josh greeted us like old friends. He remembered which mattresses we’d liked. Had a chance to meet Bob this time and he was super-​friendly and helpful too.
Our mattresses are now in place in our homes and they’re great. The moving company they work with is fabulous (Elmer’s) — wouldn’t let my dad lift a thing.
I’ll recommend Six Day Mattress to anyone who might be looking for a quality mattress at a reasonable price with pleasant salespeople.

We recently purchased a mattress from 6 Day and had a great experience. Bob, the owner, helped us and we asked him tons and tons of questions and he never tired of answering them. He is very honest and his prices are discounted deeply from others selling the identical products.
We were transitioning from a Duxiana Queen to a king size bed and didn’t want to spend a fortune for a mattress — Duxiana’s having risen to nearly $ 8,000+ for a king. So, we wound up on a pure latex mattress with the most cushion. It is by Pure Latex and has been a joy to sleep on. We were hoping it would be as good as our Duxiana and in fact it is BETTER! We both have back issues and so far this bed has been consistently comfortable and allowed for great sleeping.
Bob and his staff are not pushy; just knowledgeable and do an incredible job of helping you find what you need.
My husband and I highly recommend going there when considering a mattress purchase.

Shopping for a mattress can be an overwhelming experience especially for someone like myself who likes to research buying options. The information on the web and from salespeople can vary widely. I stumbled across «The Six Day Mattress Store,» after visiting all of the main showrooms including Macy’s and Sleep Country. I was interested in a latex mattress so I also went to a few local specialty shops.
My main criteria for a new mattress was finding one that would stay relatively cool and not heat up during the night, which was a problem with my memory foam mattress.
I spoke to Bob after talking to at least 6 other salespeople. He was knowledgeable and patient. I visited his showroom 3 or 4 times and narrowed my choices to two, what I would call expensive, all latex mattresses. Bob didn’t try and pressure me into buying the more expensive of the two and he really encouraged me to go with my «gut» feeling. He also assured me that I could exchange the mattress if I wasn’t satisfied.
Finally I pulled the trigger on the more expensive «Pure Latex Bliss» mattress. There is a lot of information on the web about its cooling properties.
So, one week later, after an easy delivery, I’m 100% satisfied. I noticed the improved heat issue on day one. I used to have to roll around to escape the heat. Last night, I didn’t even move once.
I’d highly recommend «Six Day Mattress.» Besides the benefit of supporting a local business, the service was great and Bob clearly knows what he’s talking about.

I hate mattress shopping like I hate both computer and car buying. Too many choices and salespeople who don’t know their products.
Wandered into this innocuous looking store one day on the advice of fellow Unilocalers. Yup, it’s pretty low key and so is Bob. No pressure… just good information and advice.
Bob gave us a price much better than all his competitors and threw in a Unilocal discount. He suggested a really good frame, box springs, and mattress cover too.
And yes, it arrived within 6 days! The delivery people (the fantastic Elmer’s Express) know what they are doing, set up your mattress, and remove the old one for FREE! What more do you want?
We’ve had the mattress for a few months now, and could not be happier.
I will update on the wear-​ability, but, so far we love it.
Six-​day Mattress does business the old-​timey way… they put customers first.
Update 9÷3÷14: Still lovin’ our mattress… and the reason I know that is that I never have to think about it… a good night’s sleep does that for you!
One thing: even though they say that you don’t have to flip a latex mattress, I would recommend it anyway… at least once a year.

I needed a queen size bed for my spare room, nothing fancy but not the cheapest either.
After reading the reviews, I decided to stop by the store. On the way there I stopped by Sleep Country to see what they had. Sleep Country offered me a floor model mattress set and basic steel frame for $ 799, which they tried to hard sell me stating that it was at another store and another couple was very interested. I politely thanked the salesperson for his time, walked next door and got a taco to relax.
Next I headed to Six Day hoping for a better experience. I was greeted by Ariel who asked what I was looking for. She showed me NEW options for $ 299 – 499. I left with a new pillow top mattress and frame, delivered for ~$ 600! No pressure, just good information and a screaming deal.
Bob (the owner) delivered the mattress set Friday evening on time and in and out in 10 minutes.
Executive Summary– Don’t waste your time at the chains, give these guys a chance to earn your business and you won’t regret it.

Went here after reading the store’s Unilocal reviews. The owner Bob is helpful but not pushy and explains the many options one has in his store. I’ve been interested in a memory foam bed for a while and took the opportunity to try one against the alternative types in stock. Start to finish the process took me about 20 minutes.
One caveat about memory foam mattresses. Have you seen those Space Saver Bag informercials where they put bunch of sweaters in a bag and suck the air out it to compress it? Memory foam mattresses are shipped in a vacuum-​sealed bag which is then rolled up. You’re told it will take 24 – 48 hours for the mattress to assume it’s full shape.
What I didn’t know was that this process seals in gasses that need to be allowed to dissipate. Google «memory foam offgassing». Think of it like new car smell x 20.
It actually gave me a headache. Info on the web said it would take from two days to a week for the ‘new mattress smell’ to go away. I wanted to accelerate the process so I put it in a room, opened a window, turned a high speed fan toward the mattress, left the room and closed the door. I returned every 4 – 6 hours to flip the mattress and check on the smell.
It took three days for all traces of the smell to go away, but now it’s a non-​issue and the mattress gives me a great night’s sleep. You can avoid this process by buying the floor model.
Bottom line: Bob knows mattresses and prices them fairly in his no-​frills no-​pressure store. I learned that he served his country in Viet Nam so you have the added satisfaction of supporting a veteran owned business.
UPDATE: One thing you learn about memory foam mattresses, and hopefully not too late, is that they don’t ‘breathe’ like a traditional mattress and can trap your body’s heat. Some people find this uncomfortable while others appreciate it. I am with the first group but managed to find a thick topper that does breathe and dissipate heat. It seems counter-​intuitive to put a topper on a memory foam mattress but I was already invested.
Another fact worth mentioning is that perhaps 6 months after purchase I received a letter from the mattress distributor warning me in essence that the mattress cover was flammable and that I should return to the store to receive a free new mattress cover. When I went in to do that I chatted briefly with Bob and he was displeased by what he considered manufacturing shortcuts and had stopped selling that particular mattress.
Still, when it’s time for a new mattress I’ll head down to see Bob.
