Bad day at work. Horrible mood. I came to the bar and Rachel took care of me and my date. Generous and personal. She saved my night and cheered me up. Thank you, iPic!

Amazing service! I come just for the bar, not for the movies. Rachel is truly the best!!!

The staff is very friendly and professional. Movie theater is upscale and classy. They also allow kids which is the ultimate experience for them. I am so glad I only live a few minutes away.

My boyfriend and I had never been to an iPic Theater before. We went earlier this month to see the new Star Wars movie. The movie experience was pretty great, the seats were comfortable and worth it, and the waiter was friendly. The bar connected to the theater, however, was a terrible, awful experience. First of all, when I ordered club soda with mint, the woman at the bar pretty much laughed in my face. I get it, maybe she wasn’t used to people coming to a bar and ordering non-alcoholic drinks, but come on. Grow up. Then, my boyfriend asked her what beers they had on tap, which elicited another impatient and attitude-filled answer of «uhh. Mac and Jack… an IPA…» Okay lady, maybe be a little more specific about which IPA? There are more than one that exist in the world. Also, if you have no tap list posted and we can’t see the tap handles, maybe you should be less rude and more understanding with your responses. When she came around to the other side of the bar, she brought me my club soda with mint and said, «um. let me know if you need more mint» and walked away laughing, without even waiting for a response. Please note that this was not a friendly laugh. I felt like I was in middle school or something. Oh and maybe you should have actually served my boyfriend the beer he ordered? Just a thought. We sat there for maybe 5 minutes before the other bartender noticed that his coworker hadn’t served my boyfriend his beer yet. Soon, we finished our drinks and decided we would head to our seats. My boyfriend tried to get the attention of either bartender. Please note that there were maybe 4 – 5 other couples total in the bar at the time, and there were 2 bartenders. It took almost 10 minutes to catch the woman’s attention to ask for the check. She said okay and walked away. Note: we were sitting at the bar right near the registers. 5 more minutes pass, still no check. We catch the attention of the male bartender and ask for the check. He asks us to remind him what we had, so we told him we had one beer and one club soda with mint. He waved off the club soda and said he wouldn’t charge us for that. He did something at the computer but had to go take someone their drinks. 5 more minutes pass, still no check. Seriously? Finally the woman comes back and we ask her again. She prints out the receipt and my boyfriend has cash in hand, trying to speed things up. We’re in a rush now, so as the woman passes the receipt over the counter, my boyfriend hands her a $ 10 bill. I noticed the check said $ 6.00 but I didn’t really pay much attention to that. She took the receipt and the money. We sat there for a couple more minutes, waiting for the change. She’s right in front of us at the register, puts the money in, closes the drawer and says, «thanks, have a good night.» I’m a little confused, but also worried about missing the movie, so I slide off the bar seat. My boyfriend snaps out of his confusion and asks, «wait, how much was it?» The woman looks at him, and he asks again. She says, word for word, «uhh, $ 9… I mean, $ 9.50» … Excuse me? Did you seriously just lie directly to our faces? First of all, lady, don’t ever assume that you should get a tip. My boyfriend gave you a $ 10 bill, if it was $ 9 give him back a dollar, if it was $ 9.50 then give him back fifty cents. The service you gave us was awful, rude, and made me never want to go back to that bar again. Second, learn how to lie better. Even if you had charged us for my club soda that came from the bar hose, it would not have been $ 9 or $ 9.50. That’s ridiculous. And again, even if it was, that means we should have gotten change back. I wasn’t going to write this review because every time I think about it I get so upset, but I don’t want anyone else to have to experience such awful service. What kind of person lies like that? Maybe it was just the one bartender, and maybe she was having a really bad day. That’s no excuse for being a thief, though. Even though the service was awful we still would have left some kind of a tip. Instead, we had it stolen from us. I will never recommend this bar to anyone I know.

After the movie we went to the bar for light after dinner food & drinks. We ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc, a Mac & Jack, Angus trio burger and Nacho bites. We liked the overall experience and ambiance. It is definitely a nice place. and will come back. That said one of the nachos was burnt and we had to wait quite a long time even though it was far from busy. I am not a cheap guy but think we paid little too much($ 50) with regards what we had in our plate and the overall dinner experience.

My fiancée and I have been to «Cinebarre’s» in Portland and Seattle, but iPic in Redmond is by far the most impressive. There is a complete bar with varied wine and beer selections along with a very comprehensive and inventive cocktail menu. The thing that I was most impressed by though were the seats! So incredibly comfortable. We got the last seats on an opening showing of a premier weekend. Even in the front row we were comfortable and weren’t straining our eyes sitting too Close as we would have at a regular theater.

Wow! I am very impressed with this place, not only do they have spectacular service but the place is absolutely beautiful. Looks very classy The menu is great! And the drinks even better. If you get a chance to come here, try the lemon chicken satay. I replaced the asparagus with the tater tots, and by far the best tater tots I’ve ever had. The drink I got was called El(e???) Margarita, and I had them make it spicy, and it was so good! It was a great recommendation on the food and drink by our server. In the theater the seats recline, there’s blankets and pillows provided for you, and free popcorn. This place puts Cinetopia in Portland and Vancouver to absolute shame with everything they offer you for the price of the tickets. Love Love!

The service at the bar was way better than my previous 2 experiences at iPic so I guess that’d a good thing.

After sitting in an empty lounge on a Saturday night, it took us 8 minutes to be acknowledged. After about 5 minutes, we started a timer on our iPhone. The comical thing about it is that there were three employees behind the bar just chit-chattin. Eventually we started counting all the waitresses that walked past our table without even saying hello, or offering to take our drink order. We got to six before a waitress came running to our table in a mad dash. «I’m so sorry, how long have you been waiting here», she noticed our timer on the table and said«you’ve been waiting 3 minutes?!» Not really, it was much longer. She apologized and sent the manager over who comped our drink order. Apparently someone was supposed to covering her table. I appreciated the effort to make it right.

Convenient pre-movie drinks and dinner spot. Our order consisted of Fajitas, Nacho Bites, Margherita Pizza, Truffle Fries, Death by Chocolate, Cosmos and a Mimosa. Overall, the prices are reasonable given the location and quality is on par. Service was top notch.

tip: if you are going to watch a movie and plan on ordering food to eat during the movie, you can avoid the long wait and order in the bar and pick up the food yourself in the take out window to bring back to your seat. great spot to grab a drink or apps before the movie or hang out after work. the place gets busy on Fridays and Sat so be sure to get there a bit early to grab a table(especially if you have a bigger party). we usually get the turkey sliders or chicken kabobs. there trio sliders pretty juicy and you can’t go wrong with the choice. they have savory dessert drinks and a full bar with spirits, wine and beer. service is usually pretty on target and there is a washroom conventienty located next to the bar so you don’t have to walk all the way to the theater. in addition to coming here for personal purposes, I’ve booked events here and also attended social events. catering dept manager follows up and the food is good too.

Great place to watch the game, and the concept is totally amazing but the service is lame. I visit from Olathe once a month and my girlfriend dragged me here to experience it. If this place had good service it would rock.

Worst service ever, from the top down. Our server ignored us for 15 minutes. Tried to flag down the Manager for a frickin’ menu who looked me INTHEEYE and kept walking. No slam on out server… This one foes straight to Management of to Redmond theater.

This review is for the service. This is the second time I’ve had lousy service here while waiting for an IPic movie. The first time, we had a corporate event where they completely ran out of food on the buffet just a few minutes into the event. This time, we were meeting for drinks before a movie. The service was okay, a bit slow, but then when we tried to pay, it literally took 40 minutes just to pay the bill. We tried to pay at the cashier or bar but kept being told our server had to process the order herself. We asked if we could pay after the movie so we wouldn’t miss it but were told no. We literally missed the first 15 minutes of the film even though we started trying to pay 20 minutes before even the previews started. Food is average at best, though cocktails are reasonably good.

KILLTIMEWITH A COCKTAILINHAND. Arrived early before my first IPic Theater experience. Didn’t want to spoil the appetite as we’d be served in the theater but looking for something to sip and much on beforehand. Why not knock a few cocktails to make the experience a bit more interesting!!! PRICKLYPEARHONEYRITA — Camarena Tequila, Local Honey, Prickly Pear, Hand Squeezed Lime, Fleur de Sel Rim. This cocktail was bright pink, sweet, and gives a nice calm buzz. CALAMARI — I wasn’t sure how I felt about the calamari as it wasn’t the typical calamari body pieces I’m use to. The calamari was cut in strips instead of rings and their wasn’t much flavor. The only flavor was in the batter and dipping it with the sauce it came with. REDVELVETBREADPUDDING — Decadent bread pudding made with moist red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting. This dessert is pretty filling and the portion is pretty large, good enough to share with one or two other people — literally. It is very moist just as bread pudding is suppose to be. To have a red velvet bread pudding was a great experience. It is a sweet dessert and the cream cheese frosting drizzled on top and around the plate made me have foodgasm. Will I be back? YES. Until the next review…

It’s OK overall. The food prices on happy hour and special events are reasonable and tasty! My favorite items would be the flatbread here. The Tuesday beer and wine specials make it a place where anyone can come check out before attending a movie. The service is a bit here and there. When this establishment gets busy, it looks like they have extra bar tenders but not enough wait staff. I have attended several group meetings here as well as hung out with just one person. I have to say the company you bring will change the dynamic of your experience. On standard days and prices, it is rather high but the place does feel classy and clean. After all, the movies do count on concession to pay rent! And alcohol pays the best! ;) But they should note: More people, more money. Perhaps balancing how much things are will bring more people rather than over charging the small amount of people that do visit before an event. People seemed to have fun in the groups and when I asked about the drink quality and foods, they were all thumbs up so I’m happy hosting here.

Salt lounge is a nice place to grab a bite to eat before the movie. I wish they would update the menu more. Its been the same food for quite awhile. I got the turkey sliders which were really good and flavorful. I was torn between them and the Chinois Chicken Salad wraps which is an appetizer… then the table behind us go them and I was totally envious. Next time I will get those! They are definitely big enough for an entrée though! I recommend getting there at least an hour before your movie starts. We were seeing a 7:25 movie and got there a little after 6pm. By 6:45 the lounge was pretty full and the service was a slower and not as good.

**Update 9/12/2014** This place is as great — or perhaps even better — than ever! I don’t know how that’s possible, but it is! My husband and I re-visited Salt yesterday for a «football party» in the bar. The ambiance is the same(which we love! With comfortable tables and«booth”-like areas against a wall, many flat screen tv’s all over, a fireplace and an elongated central bar). The services is as awesome as ever(we had Alissa as our server last night. Couldn’t be nicer!). Unbeknownst to me, this lounge is open late(an anomaly here in sleepy Redmond!), to midnight or later, 7 days a week. There is a new manager, Cody, who we met, and who was incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in customers’ feedback. And there’s a new chef here, too(dang it, if I can’t remember his name!). He too was very interested in getting all our input on the foods and new menu selections. And the food! It was great the last time we were here, but they’ve added some dishes that are really fantastic! My husband lives — literally LIVES — for wings, and this place has some of the absolute best wings, hands-down! They are plump and moist and come with three different sauces. Hubby said all 3 were fabulous, but he preferred the salt and vinegar option(which was surprising as, before he tasted them, he thought this would be his least favorite type). There’s also a ginger sesame sauce, and a third kind(I don’t recall what). Some of the dishes offered, I’ve had in the iPic theater: the Thai Coconut Shrimp(love it!), the Angus Burger Trio sliders(hubby’s a huge fan!), and the tater tots(always a good stand-by). I’m dying to try their new lobster roll. One thing to mention(and this is an awesome deal): in the Salt bar on game days, for every game during football season, they’re showing football on the tv’s and serving up $ 2 draft beers and these incredible wings for 50 cents each. Yes, you read that right. FIFTYCENTSEACH. My husband has already marked our calendar to return for football games here! Seriously, how can you beat that?

We came to ipics to see a movie on a Thursday evening around 7 pm and when we arrived at the bar, it was completely packed. I was surprised that this place was such a hot spot… in Redmond of all places! We decided to skip the bar and to order food in the theater. After seeing a really intense movie, we decided to stop by at the bar for a drink to wind down. The bar had almost completely cleared out — and it was really difficult to get service. We had to flag down the server a couple of times and even had to talk over to the bar to get drinks. There was no last call — we were just told that the bar was closed which was disappointing. We ended up heading over to Matador and had some margaritas there which were way better and much more reasonably priced.

Tater Tots — Yesss Please! My husband and I came here for a Unilocal Event about two weeks ago. I was under the impression that we’d get a drink and some kind of sample appetizer before seeing a complimentary movie. Boy was I wrong. Food — We got to choose one appetizer and two entrees! We got the mozzerlla sticks for our appetizer. They were fried perfectly crispy and we ate them with ranch — duh. Yummy. For our meals, my husband got the steak quesadillas. They were delicious. I got the angus beef sliders. There were three sliders, with bacon and tomato. They were tasty and a little greasy, which made it all the more yummy. I ordered a side of TATERTOTS to ensure artery clogging. I am in love with tater tots. Mmmmm… Drinks — We each got two drink tickets for the event and could order any well drinks or some of their specialty drinks listed for the event. I order The Zombie. It was a sweet citrus-y drink with rum. It came with a little cup of rum sitting on top. Sweet goodness. My hubs got a Mojito I believe and a Zombie. They also had a free tray of summer drinks going around when we first got there, so we had TONS of free drinks. Before I got to the movie I was stuffed full of Salt Food Goodness. I enjoy the food. The atmosphere is super cool and modern. Love the décor. Bathrooms are pretty(I notice these things). Servers were awesome!!! Friendly and attentive. I’m not sure if we’d come here too often on our own because it is a little pricey. We did eat here before when we came to see a movie and haven’t been disappointed. Great food — whouda thunk for a movie theater! Haha ;)
