Buyers beware: When ordering an item that is on back order, do not pay the full price and only pay a deposit. We were not given that option and paid full price. Apparently, they will only hold the item for 90 days and after that time, they have the right to resell it WITHOUT refunding you. In our case, we lost the full amount and not just a deposit. There was a miscommunication on when the item actually arrived (they stated they called but we did not get a call until months later). They never informed us about this policy and they resold it without our knowledge and refused to refund us or even give us a store credit.
I went in the store to speak with a manager and they gave me their customer service number. After being on a long hold, I had the option for someone to call me back. I explained my situation and they advised me to speak with a supervisor. In order to do that, they would have to request one to call you in a 24 – 72 hour time frame. If you miss their call, guess what? You call customer service again, wait for someone to call you, so that you can request another supervisor to call you back.
Their argument is that this agreement is on the back of the receipt. It does say that they will hold the item for 90 days and after that the DEPOSIT will be non refundable (which makes sense). Unfortunately, they are considering our full payment as a deposit and refused to refund us. They weren’t at all apologetic and actually told me «for future reference» to pick up my order in a timely manner next time.
It sucks because I actually really love this place. Everything in here is glitz and glamour, just how I like it. Unfortunately, I will no longer recommend this place based on their customer service.

This place is super blinged out to the point of being scary. They do have some really nice pieces and dust collectors in there. I didn’t dare to look at the furniture prices because it just looks to rich for my blood. They do have some really beautiful pieces. I have a 5 year old though so I can tell you pretty much nothing in this place would be in my home.
I could see myself getting someone a small gift from here though. They have some pretty nice candles, frames and décor for reasonable prices.
I was greeted right when I walked in and asked if I needed any help at all. There was not a snooty vibe at all. I was actually shocked because I did not know what I would be getting myself into walking in here.

I love Z Gallerie, such an amazing ambience when you walk in. Very warm and inviting! I truly Iove the unique visuals they have organized throughout this location and I think it’s just superb!
Such great ideas and such hip and updated furniture. They really provide great product knowledge.
I would highly suggest and recommend anyone to pay this store a visit.

I can’t explain the huge disparity of reviews for this store. I can only give you my personal experiences here. I’ve been to this store approximately 20 times in the past 5 months, and I’ve made a few large furniture purchases here (and a TON of smaller purchases of household accessories), and I can only report that my every experience here has been stellar. Literally, stellar.
(I should add, too, that I studied interior design, have a degree in that field, and worked as a designer for a few years in a very high end Bellevue store. My husband, too. That’s how we met! So we’re somewhat knowledgeable in the field, and we definately know what we like. And I am personally a stickler for decent custormer service, which is why I don’t understand all the reviews stating this place is deficient in this area).
Every time I’ve been in this store, the sales help have been super. They’ve been available when we’ve had questions, and they’ve left us alone when, the vast majority of times, we simply wanted to look around. They’ve not hovered over me while I’ve browsed (I hate that!), and they’ve not tried to upsell me on stuff when I was on the brink of purchasing items. In fact, they’ve all be really friendly and gracious and have gone out of their way to wrap and package things SO well, above and beyond the call of duty, or making calls to find out when certain items may be available, or may go on sale. The few times I’ve had to return items, there has never been a problem or question. The last big item I bought here — a sizable coffee table, — was delivered as promised, on time, without a hitch (hubby says the delivery guys were nice, too). I can’t think of one issue I’ve ever had with this store.
There is a certain aesthetic to the merchandise here and I think it’s uncalled for, for some reviewers to criticise the store (and insult their customers, to boot) for being … bling-​y. True, if you’re looking for a Prairie-​style vibe, or minimalistic aesthetic, you won’t find it here. But there is some awesome mirrored furniture you can dress up or down, that can be incorporated into a variety or style/​schemes, and a host of accessories that can work in a more traditional or contemporary setting. You just have to have the vision!
I should add that this store also has smaller gift items, where I’ve found some of the funniest books and coasters and neat wine accessories and gorgeous picture frames. There is also a large art section with prints and collages and mixed media works, both large and small, from abstract to realism, and photographic prints as well.

Although the furniture from this store is beautiful, I have never witnessed such horrendous customer service. After working in furniture retail for seven years, I understand the physical struggles of constantly lifting and moving. However, I do not understand how an entire shift of employees can knowingly ignore the needs of a customer AND brag about it. My boyfriend and I were walking into the store when we saw a man attempting to load a mirrored glass dining table into a moving truck. When I realized he was attempting to move the table alone, I asked my boyfriend to help him load it. The man was very thankful and made a comment about the employees refusing to assist him. I thought he was being dramatic until I walked in and was greeted by two able bodied employees snickering about how the man had been out there for over an hour loading furniture by himself. I don’t care what kind of policy is set in place in order to avoid being liable for any damaged furniture, there is this other policy called being a good person that overrules just about everything. Oh, and on a side note, the man easily had $ 15,000 worth of furniture in the truck. I’m sure he would have left a nice tip.

If you can look past all the blinding crystal, beads, and jewels embellished on every last knick-​knack available for sale, you might just find that perfect item for your home.
I feel like this store is 90% for single women or bored housewives with not-​into-​detail-​husbands. And I can’t imagine any of their displays standing up to a toddler in real life. Perhaps that’s too judgmental.
Either way, we did manage to find a nice gift for family here, a crystal lotus candle holder. The staff was extremely helpful in wrapping it up with bubble so it wouldn’t break on our plane ride.
Not a place we’d go to frequently, and probably never for our own home.

I can see how the wares in this store appeals to many Redmond suburbanites — everything in the store is mostly monochrome, bland and overpriced. Plenty of tacky, too. Oh yeah, the only place for animal prints is on Camaro or pick-​up truck seat covers in the deep south or Texas.

Cute girly décor. My husband would not be impressed if I decorated the house with bejeweled mirror coasters, real colored anything or zebra prints.
They have lots of cute stuff and priced reasonably.

Dear President of Z Gallerie,
I hope that this message finds you well. Unfortunately, this note is not a positive one. Allow me to explain.
My wife and I have been shopping for a new couch for over a week and had added your store to the initial list of locations to browse. I’ll outline our experience during each visit and explain to you why we are so dissatisfied and why we will not ever recommend you or give you future business.
Visit #1: (Friday) Walked around shop for about 20 minutes. Only 1 other person in the shop and no one came up to ask if we needed help. Saw the couch and added it to our list.
Visit #2: (Saturday) Came back with color swatches to compare against couch, but needed couch swatch in order to check against other pieces of furniture that we owned. The store clerk said they only lent swatches out and that it would have to be back within 24 hours as store policy. We thought this to be a bit odd, and wouldn’t be able to return the swatch within 24 hours due to having 8am-​6pm jobs. We said OK but then she told us to wait for her to finish whatever she was doing so she disappeared and we waited. and waited for 30 mins. We didn’t have the luxury of time to continue waiting so we just left.
Visit #3: (Monday) Decided to purchase couch. Went back into store to make the payment and asked again, since we were purchasing the couch, to have a color swatch so that we could match other things we might want to purchase to it. They repeated the 24 hour policy. Surely, at this point, when the customer is ready to buy something that costs a significant amount of money, there can be exceptions made. I asked if it wouldn’t be possible to extend the time limit by an additional 24 hours. She explained in a condescending tone that during the time we had the swatch, other customers would not be able to view the color. I informed her that they had a floor model couch of the exact color swatch that we wanted to borrow and that if customers wanted to see the color, they had a 9 foot by 5 foot swatch at the front of the store. She repeated that if we had the swatch out, no one else would be able to get a feel for the color. (totally illogical). Plus this was a weekday!
I told her that her logic made no sense at all and that if she was basing her decision not to lend out the color solely on the fact that others wouldn’t be able to see the color, she was wrong. She then reverted to claiming that she had to follow store policy, but that if I wanted to bring the swatch BACK the next day and CHECK IT OUT AGAIN, I could do so. IS THIS A LIBRARY?!
To top it off, after I was very calmly explaining the illogical and irrational way that she and her company were doing business, she told us «I HAVE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS LONGER THAN YOU HAVE BEEN AROUND» and that «lots of other places do it like this.» I informed her that many of her main competitors such as Bo-​Concept, Crate and Barrel and even Ikea all provide better sales and service than they, and furthermore do provide swatches in abundance at request.
I told her that it was unfortunate that she was losing the sale due to inflexible and completely ridiculous business practices and that we weren’t surprised that her company had completely pulled out of the Seattle market for the past several years.
I might recommend that you, as the president of the company, review your customer relations training program and work on making a real come back, not a half-​hearted, «holier than thou», «we are entitled to your money because we sell higher end merchandise» one.
I am more than willing to assist you review your customer relations training program and will help you on a consultation basis to at least bring you up to par with the customer service standards of most convenience stores.
P. S. For someone in the business for so long, to tell us that we could just take a picture to match the color, she certainly doesn’t know a lot about interior design or color matching.

Lindsay was wonderful when I went in to get an exchange from a birthday present a friend had bought for me. From the «Hello» to the «See you next time!» she was so pleasant to be around !
Z Gallerie offers a wonderful selection of paintings, glass work, furniture, and anything that you might need in your living room in a LUXURIOUS fashion. Will be returning soon!

I LOVE this store and I want about 99% of what’s in it. I come here when I need to find a gift for someone and always want to buy things for myself. Almost everything in here is super gorgeous and cool. Just check out their website! I love that the things on their website are the things you can expect to find in the store. They have a variety of things ranging from around $ 10 for fun gifts to hundreds of dollars of furniture and décor.
One thing that irks me a little about this location is there is always a chick there working who I assume is the manager, and she gives off that «you’re going to steal from me so let me take your items for you and put them behind the counter» vibe. Just a bit pushy. I also don’t really like it when employees come up and hand you things they think you should buy when you’re trying to find things on your own. Awkward.

Z gallerie is not new to the Redmond Area, it just decided to leave for 9 years and return to Redmond 6 months ago. This store ranks high on my favorite list for home decorating and funky fun gifts for friends. Lots of affordable art, and items to make any home look amazing. From beds, living room furnishings to the most funky fun plate for your dining room table– they have it all.
Not in the market for anything at this time? Just go immerse yourself in this well presented store and get lost in looking for an hour.
