Phil is a wonderful bass guitar teacher — one of the best in Los Angeles! He’s warm and patient and really customized my lessons for my pace of learning, i.e., he pushed me just enough while keeping everything light and fun.
And he has a true love of music and teaching — he was a rock and roll star in the 70’s! His stories are hilarious — you can tell he has a long history with this instrument. We worked on the basics, though I also got to work on the song I wanted to learn.
Highly recommended for all ages and levels. If you’re a more advanced student than I am, you’ll probably like Phil even more because you can really jam!
