Considering its the beginning of summer and the hotels are taking advantage of tourists, this BW is reasonable!
Plus breakfast.
I grew up in Redondo Beach and it’s odd to see the growth, this hotel is a good «home base» for getting around the area.

We have come here for years but unfortunately this hotel has not upgraded for years. Rooms are out of date, beds lumpy & air conditioner sounds like a truck driving through the room. I cannot believe this was $ 181 for one night of uncomfortable sleep. This is our last time staying here. AAA & Best Western Rewards needs to know about this.

This hotel that used to be ok has now became a «Trucker motel». Huge trucks are always parked on the parking lot outside and leave before 5 am!
The front desk people are less than helpful.
The whole place needs major remodeling and clean up. DON’T STAY THERE!

My parents stayed here while visiting me. The rooms were very clean, except when they forgot to take the ‘quiet please’ sign off the door. Ha-​ha. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast was delicious and extensive and the staff running it were fantastic. Try to get the rooms in the main building as they seem nicer. Definitely recommend having your out of town guests start here, especially for the price. Also, you get free Wi-​Fi and free parking. It really can’t be beat for the price.

I stayed there fir two night and had the absolute best stay of any hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. They exceeded all my expectations. I filled out their survey and received a very thankful letter from the Customer Service Manager Jon Seide. I asked him if he could book me for another night and without question set it up for me at an even better rate than the previous stay. This is the way quality customer service should be. I want to personally thank your whole staff for making my stay special.

I live across the road from this hotel, so I’ve frequently coordinated to have our visitors stay here. The hotel staff have always been extremely accommodating, and they’re usually able to offer a very reasonable same-​day rate (depending on vacancy).
Complimentary breakfast is superb! They have almost everything you would get a full-​service restaurant. The breakfast staff are attentive and efficient (Even though the meal is free, I would definitely leave a tip if you feel the service warrants it!).
There are a couple of less-​expensive hotels/​motels within a couple mile radius, but for the small cost difference you get SO much more at the Best Western Plus. Not to mention, this strip of Pacific Coast Highway is much less busy and runs through a very nice neighborhood.

The only reason I’m not giving this place 5-​stars is because I try to save 5-​star ratings for places that make me explode with gratitude. This place was very close to that!
Pros: Beautiful clean rooms, wonderfully polite and helpful staff, great beds, quiet location — EXCELLENT location in fact! Walking distance to Riviera Village and the Esplanade /​beach. Bikes for hire, delicious free breakfast in the morning, lots of parking, free wifi… this place is a true gem!
Neutral: didn’t go to the pool so can’t speak on it, but we saw the pool area and it looked perfectly clean and fun!
Cons: The A/​C units are loud… but at least there IS a/​c, right? :) Loved our stay!

Ok so my family got rooms here so that we could have a fun Labor Day together. Well my 2 year old got sick and had a high fever. At one point during the night, my husband and I were going to give her a luke warm bath but then we heard this bubbling, gurgly noise coming from the bathroom. Well there was sewage coming up the bath tube drain and it fill about half way up!!! It was like 2 in the morning. So disgusting. Then the next morning my husband noticed that there was some odors poop smeared on the side of the toilet by the handle to flush. So freaking disgusting!!! My father in law complained and they took off 25 $. Thats it. Then my mother in law complained and they ended up comping both rooms. But when they told the management about the sewage coming up the drain they knew it was a problem. The breakfast was good and the pool was nice but the sewage and poop made it so I will never go here again.

My brother stayed here with his son. 1^st floor room, back row behind the pool. Middle of the night, he feels something crawling on him, jumps out of bed, sees bed bugs and a dead ant in the bed. Front desk says, «We’re aware of it, would you like another room?» Ruined their good nights sleep and quick trip caue they never got caught up on their jet lag.

I stay here when I come to Redondo to visit family. I like the location, it’s walking distance to beach, shops, bars, restaurants and CVS. Some rooms are in the hall and some are facing outside. I prefer in the hall. The breakfast is robust but a tight squeeze, so I like to sit outside or in the lobby to eat. The beds are super comfy! I slept better than in my own bed. They have bikes to take to the beach along with towels. So — I would stay here again.

Great location ~ excellent service ~ spacious room ~ very clean ~ refrigerator & microwave in room ~ free parking ~ complimentary breakfast with decent selections ~ yes. Everything I need whenever I have to stay overnight in the mainland

2.5 Stars but rounding up because of the hot breakfast.
My experience here wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful either. I just think it was think this motel was way too expensive for the amenities offered. We paid $ 144 a night for a motel style room. Although the bathrooms were updated with granite counter tops and dark wood, the rest of the furniture, carpet and fixtures were not (still very 90’s). The rooms did not have central air but had the old school wall mounted AC units that were very loud. I do have to disclose that the room was very clean and the sheets and pillows smelled fresh and sanitary.
We chose to stay here and pay $ 24 more (the Hilton was $ 119 a night) because of the proximity of our friends house. Overall staff was very friendly and nice but I guess Im just a hotel snob now. Probably would opt for the Hilton next time.

My eight stay in last 3 months. Will be here for two weeks this time. Excellent location. Close to beach and shopping and of course great food.
Excellent breakfast included in your bill. Free parking and excellent t service. What else do you want?

The two star was because I wasn’t mugged in my MOTEL room. In reality it should be given negative stars for using bait and switch tactic to fill their rooms.
**** I want to start out by emphasizing that Priceline and The Best Western describes this place as a HOTEL… it doesn’t matter which way you purchase the room******
I was so excited for my trip to CALI, got off the plane did a few fun things then it was time to check in and when we pulled up and THERE IT WAS. a MOTEL!!!
For those who are too young to know the difference between a Motel and a Hotel i’ll explain.
A MOTEL is when the rooms are exposed to the outside world. This means the door, window and ice maker are facing a parking lot; your serenaded all night with all that nature can provide and if your lucky and are on the first floor you will get to park your car in front of your door. Don’t you fret though because that hardly ever happens. Usually you get to park in front of someone else’s door; lucky them. Thanks guy on the third floor for getting there before me.
A HOTEL is when you feel like you have moved into the 21^st century. The rooms, doors and ice makers are within an enclosed structure with a carpeted hallway to your room; but your window faces to the outside. It is quiet and no car is parked in front of your door.
With this HOTEL the windows face the MOTEL because they have both. they just don’t tell you that.
OMG… I didn’t realize MOTELS were even still around in any urban city.
So how did I get to this point. let me tell you. Priceline and Best Western thought it would be beneficial to advertise this as a HOTEL because they have both on the premises.
The manager asked if I Bid on it, did the Deal Express, or looked at what was available and made my choice. I told him I did Deal Express. and he said well you get what you get because when you purchased it, it doesn’t tell you the HOTEL’s name (yes he said HOTEL). Key word HOTEL. It didn’t matter which way I purchased the room it was still described as being a HOTEL.
With Pricelines Express Deals the description was in Redondo Beach, It was a HOTEL, gave the stars, any amenities, and the price they offered. NO WHERE DID IT GIVE ANY INDICATION THE ROOMS THEY WERE OFFERING WERE IN THE MOTEL SECTION OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
I told him if you sell yourself as being a HOTEL that is what people will be expecting. They aren’t expecting to pull up and find themselves at MOTEL and he should honor what they allowed Priceline to sell for them; which was HOTEL.
He obviously disagreed and he reassured me they are just as nice on the inside.
WELL BEST WESTERN CORP… YOU CAN’T PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG!

I stay here again! I love this hotel. We stayed here for a night and everything was perfect. We came and checked in pretty fast, got a decent spot for a parking, the room we got was 319 and it was pretty clean. The inside didn’t smell musty even though i think this hotel was quite old. I love the spacious room! There was a sitting area with a mini dining table, an office desk, a vanity area that is quite large, a space for our luggage and with a stroller and crib our room was still spacious. Our lil boy was happy to be able to walk around the room without bumping into anything. The wifi had great speed too. There was unlimited coffee in the lobby and the lobby smelled lovely, like flowers. The staff are very courteous. I didnt get to try the breakfast but my hubby told me it was good too. They had good selection of food. We didnt have any issue with any noise and the surrounding establishments are numerous. I suggest trying out Handel’s, they have pretty good ice cream and yogurt. The following day we had to ask for late checkout and they gave us till 12pm even with short notice. We even stayed a lil over 20mins due to our schedule and it wasnt a problem. The front desk people are very nice and even gave my baby a beach ball to play with! Over all, this hotel exceeded my expectations for the price we paid and im definitely comjng back here.

Ok Best Western. Surprised this place is considered a Best a Western Plus, I’ve definitely been to some much nicer Best Western Plus locations. All in all though, this place wasn’t bad. The rooms are clean (although the they do seem outdated and as if someone just tried to update them cheaply), the parking is ok (at night it’s crowded and the lot cannot fit all the hotel guests so you may need to park on the street), and theres a great free breakfast which is pretty decent for a Best Western hotel. I’d come back if I was in the area!

Until our trip to Redondo beach, I wasn’t really familiar with the area. And I used to live in Santa Monica a thousand years ago. So when it was time to find a hotel, we found it a daunting task (we were considering Huntington Beach and a few other south bay beaches, too). After reviewing an extensive list of our necessary criteria, the clear choice was the BW Redondo Beach Inn. And I must say I was favorably impressed.
First and foremost, let me praise the staff here. The GM, Robert, was a godsend after an Expedia error (Expedia bad! Fire good!) put us in an exterior room. He happily corrected this and put us in a deluxe inside the hotel. Everyone else, from the front desk staff to the breakfast serving staff was great, too.
The good: great staff, good location, free breakfast (great too!), free internet (although a bit slow), microwave and fridge, pool and jacuzzi, reasonably close to the beach (10 min. walk).
The not so good: cell reception spotty in rooms, paper-​thin walls and ceiling. We even had Jason from Friday the 13^th stomping above us for a couple of nights. Thump, thump, thump!
All in all a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel – great service and the price was very reasonable (but would also check out the BW Sunrise in RB by the pier if you’re looking for something closer to the ocean.)

THE VERY GOOD:
10 Min walk from the beach (on the beach itself would be way too much money)

Freebie Internet (slightly slow but it’s free & was good enough)
Free coffee ALL day, didn’t take advantage, but appreciated it.

THE LESS GOOD:
TV kept skipping, only watched once, but the signal kept getting lost, too bad as I was really getting into this 80/90’s movie.
NO cell reception in room, you have to walk out a ways
A bit noisy because we were on Pacific Coast Highway. If you don’t want to feel stuffy, you have to close the window and turn on the a.c. I prefer the window open but blocking out the noise was the priority.
We were on the 2^nd floor, 3^rd would have meant not listening to the room above us. The person just kept stomping around back & forth. Stomp stomp stomp. No stars removed though because that was a customer issue more than a hotel issue. Most normal people relax in their rooms rather than stomping around.
IN CONCLUSION:
The general manager was able to accommodate us by getting us into a deluxe internal room rather than the standard external room, this was an Expedia error. External rooms are outside obviously and people can see inside your room because the window is on the same side as the door as they walk by. Internal rooms are like a standard hotel with the window on the opposite side of the door and bigger too. We are so happy with him because we know that double bed internal rooms are limited, especially last minute.
Lastly, there is another BW close to this one that is on the Marina that is in a super cool fisherman’s wharf area, «Sunrise» I believe it was called, I may try it if I go to Redondo Beach again to try something new. Plus Harbor st appeared to be slightly less busy. But I do recommend this hotel for sure if you’re looking for value and service.
