Great selection of cards and cute gift selections! I’m glad I stumbled in and the shop staff were very helpful. I will definitely support this store!

Went in looking for an anniversary card for my son and his husband. Expected to hear that they didn’t carry anything but to my delight they had a nice little selection of wedding cards and anniversary cards for same-​sex couples. You go guys!

this store robbed me! I made a purchase for an xmas flag for $ 43.55 on 12÷5÷15− I asked the sales women whom I purchased from about the return policy, as I wasn’t sure I «loved» it for that much $$. She was VERY CLEAR THAT I HAD 14 DAYS WITH RECEIPT. SO sure enough the next day I had buys remorse, but with work, holidays, having a toddler, etc. I finally asked my hubby to make the return on the 14^th day, because it had been sitting on the counter with the receipt and I didn’t want to miss out on the $$. They told my hubby «no» that xmas sells were finally after the 10^th or something like that, which had i know i would have returned right away, but i was not told that. So i called and finally spoke with whom I believe was the owner, who was nice, but seemed very «sketchy» about what I told her, I at one point told her, look I am not lying, I am not trying to steal for you, I just want you to honor what I was told! She still was like well there were flyers in all out bags etc… I told her I also purchased the flag pole (which I kept) in a separate transaction and took the flag on the pole as is and did not have a bag for that reason. Can we say POOR customer service!!! ANYHOW… my hubby made the return, I even sent him with MY credit card that was used for the purchase. BUT GUESS WHAT— NO REFUND EVER PROCESSED TO MY ACCOUNT!!! WOW OH WOW OH WOW! BUYERS BEWARE!!! My husband called to inquire (a couple weeks ago when I noticed, as he didn’t save the return receipt (ugh!). we checked ALL our accounts thinking maybe he gave them the wrong card to process the return, although he swears he didn’t. Anyhow the store told him they don’t keep records dating back «that far»…really??? WOW! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED $$$$ at this place!

Card de A is a wonderful shop in the Riviera Village. Having been a customer for over 10 years, I always find great gifts and cards and things for my home… like amazing candles and knick knacks. After reading some of the reviews, I hope the earlier guests will come back and give it another try! Especially during this holiday season. Transition is always hard, but the store seems to be up and running, stocking all of our favorites! I am sure if there is something that the prior owners carried that is not currently in the store, the present owner will work with you. I love the jewelry and cards and candles and silly stuff — like Poo Pouri!

i have been a CARD DE A fan for over a decade… since back when there were 3 south bay stores, and this one has always been my favorite! there was a brief time a few years ago when there was a limited & questionable selection, but thankfully now that it’s under new ownership, the old CARD DE A is back better than ever… i’m talking about the CARD DE A you can always find those one of a kind gifts for reasonable prices.
an abundance of merchandise is grouped by genre or holiday, but it’s super well organized and not at all cluttered. the window displays are always so festive and alluring; they make you want to buy everything in sight… especially at halloween!
sometimes i pop in just to pick up a card… although i end up with 5 because there’s so many great ones to choose from. let me put it to you this way; i already bought my husband’s birthday card… for his birthday in march! i literally find myself laughing out loud while reading some of them!
the staff has always been sweet, helpful, and friendly. i go often enough that i recognize many of the girls working there, and whenever i ask them for a suggestion, they are all quite knowledgable of the merchandise.
this is where you go if you’re looking for a gift for that special someone who seems to have everything. instead of spending a lot of money on a useless knick-​knack, go to CARD DE A where i bet you’ll find that perfect, thoughtful lil something!

Just ran into Card de A to grab a birthday card for my mother-​in-​law and was caught laughing out loud too many times! Awesome collection of cards. Then bought some beautiful blank recycled cards in packs that I’ve been looking for everywhere. Thanks for the choices.

Great store for a gift and card. The selection has really grown over the past year. I always find the card that I need plus a few extras. Plenty of gift options too!

I went into the shop looking for a birthday card for a friend and a Father’s Day card for my dad. There were so many choices and I found two perfect cards for my friend and my dad. The employees are always so friendly when I come in. Lauren Maslauski is a great employee. She is so friendly, full of energy, and very helpful. I will be back again soon next time I need a card or a little gift.

I used to stop by this location once or twice a month for cards & to grab nice specialty items. Alas, this store is not what it used to be.
The store feels cluttered, is not easy to walk through & no longer feels like the neighborhood go to card store it once was.
I went in 2 weeks before Thanksgiving looking for an item that I have been buying here for years. There was SO much Christmas stuff I couldn’t find anything but Christmas stuff.
I asked the sales girl for help, she was futzing around with boxes of Christmas cards & did not even make eye contact when she replied, ‘Oh no we don’t have that. You can go online & get it yourself.‘
Indeed, I can. You lost my business Card De A & I’ll wager with this mentality I’m not the only one.

Before their remodel and downsizing I used to love this card store. It was my go-​to. They still have cute gifts, but their card selection is SERIOUSLY lacking. I went to get Father’s Day cards for my husband, dad, and father-​in-​law and was so disappointed. The grocery store had a bigger selection than they did. I ended up walking out empty handed for the third time in a row. Sad, cause I don’t think I’ll frequent them as much as I used to. Instead, I’ll head to the hallmark store off of Beryl.

Since Card De A changed owners it has gone completely down hill. I was just in there to buy a birthday card and the selection is minuscule. The quality of their cards aren’t what they used to be. There were two girls working, and I was the only customer in the store. There was a friend of the employees talking up a storm with them… I had to interrupt three times in order to get assistance. Very unprofessional! I’ll never return. Go to Rolling Hills Flower Mart. Their employees are extremely kind and helpful.

Great selection of large (28″ x 40″), decorative garden flags (e.g. for Halloween), priced around $ 27 plus tax. Some flags have complex designs with hanging decorations etc.
Overall this is «A-​OK» but, if you’re in the market for several flags, you’ll do much better price-​wise shopping online, but I prefer to support the local merchants.

Just picked up invites during their 50% off sale — great selection and good pricing.

I love to visit Card De A because they always carry the «unexpected.» For example one time, I purchased some soap for my sister entitled «Wash Away Sins» soap. Niiiiiiiiiiice!

Thought this was gonna be some tiny card shop, but the place is huge.
No clever «thank you» cards though, so I had to get a blank and make it clever myself…
They’ve got a bunch of other cool little stuff too, like the pop-​up book of sex, fart in a can, and some books that sounded pretty entertaining.
Front room’s customer service was friendly (that’s the side w/​the door facing the Trader Joe’s parking lot), but the girl working the side room was havin a bad day and spent most of the 15+ minutes that I was there complaining on the phone. If you’re in a whiny mood and there are customers around, you should at least txt instead of talk. When someone needed help, she was polite and helpful.
Finding the place w/​the address punched into navigation wasn’t easy, so you should just look for the Trader Joe’s, and know that they’re right next to the Yogurt spot in that parking lot.

I’m a cardaholic, and Card De A is perfect for those that obsess over the right card to give to someone. They have a huge selection of birthday cards (other occasions as well) that range from fancy letterpress to quirky, graphic-​laden cards. If you are looking to pick up some wrapping paper and ribbons, check out the wall at the back of the store. There is a small selection of wedding invitations and thank you cards in the back as well. I was so impressed that I picked up not just one card, but 6! This is now my go-​to place for cards– it should be yours, too!

Just about the best selection of greeting cards I’ve seen. They also have a lot of other items such as stationery, labels, gifts, holiday items, jewelry, kitschy beach stuff, souvenir-​type things, etc. The last time I was here I bought a miniature set of wind chimes with a cat theme and (in honor of Halloween) a pair of tiny spider stud earrings with blue crystals for the body and black legs. How neat is that?

I was in card heaven. Not the plastic kind, but the sweet kind.
The variety of cards here cannot be beat. So many different cards for so many different occasions. If you are getting wedding stuff ready, I’d say this is a great place to do that too. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I wasn’t particularly looking for a card, but I had to get something after stepping in there. Mother’s day is more than a month away, but I bought some Mother’s day cards anyway. Great wrapping papers too.
I am not going anywhere else for cards now. No more searching for Papyrus in major malls!

I truly miss the Card De A formerly in the Bristol Farms shopping center on Rosecrans, and have tried to «made do» with others in the area. But recently decided I had to make the trip to Hollywood Riviera to Card De A Too.
This center has the BEST cards ever. OK, no hand made cards … but seriously funny and unique cards are found there. I have a sick sense of humor and love to give cards that are not of the «Hallmark variety» if you know what I mean.
When I go there, I drop a bit of money. I like to give great cards and this is one place to get them. This last trip, I was after Christmas cards and when I got to the counter they even had «Christmas light necklaces» on sale there. Had to get one of those too. (they look like small lights and even flash!)
Quite a selection of other small gifts too, for «over the hill» gifts, Valentines, etc. etc.
I like that this spot also has Trader Joes next to it, which is also a plus. This is a great TJ’s!

I love this place. I have been sometimes though when workers are too snooty to talk to me but their products are great.
Some stuff a bit pricey but this is a great gift store!
If you are looking for unique for every occasion cards or other cute things like magnets, earrings, lotions funny little books or inspirational thingy’s this is the place.

Card De A Too is located in the Riviera Village, next door to Trader Joe’s. It’s a cute card and stationary store with a second location in Manhattan Beach. They have trendy and cute cards and if that’s not your thing they also carry serious, simple and classy cards and even funny and silly ones.
Every summer when the baby shower, wedding shower and wedding invitations start rolling in, I hit this card shop and always find the perfect cards.
