I have ordered from El Tarasco many times, always take out. The food is always well prepared and ready quickly. Never had a bad experience. Some Mexican food is too spicy for my taste, but this place is just fine. One could make it spicier by adding the salsa. I recommend the super deluxe burrito with black beans(no meat). They cook with canola oil, not lard.

I want so badly to give El Tarasco 5 stars, but I have consistently had disappointing service here. The servers are all kind and polite and the food is awesome, but the manager or owner needs to be better at being adequately staffed and being organized. My most recent trips have been on two busy days(Cinco de Mayo and a Friday dinner rush). I am extremely reasonable with my expectations about service when the place is busy, but even those lowered expectations were not met. The staff seemed rushed and frenzied the whole time, food was constantly brought to our table that we did not order, no place settings, no straws offered with drinks, margaritas were disappointing. They do have great fish tacos! But overall, I probably won’t waste my time here anymore. Even ordering take-out is a mess(last time I did that, my order was given to someone else and they didn’t realize it until I came to pick up, so I had to wait for my entire order to be made again, no discount offered)

Think people expect too much for table service here. It’s a fast food Mexican joint with dine in service available. It’s a chain. Yet the food is so on point! I see people complaining the service is slow after they receive there food. Lol, get your lazy butt up and go get a napkin or ask for whatever it is you need! Other then that, just eat! Go to some other fancy restaurant if you’re focused on the service and not the food. If you’re looking for awesome Mexican food. Don’t hesitate! There chips and salsa is awesome too! Cheap cerveza’s! Recommend the Cali burrito!

LOVE this place! No frills, down home spot that has great, friendly service and amazing Mexican food at reasonable prices! Addicted to their hot, thin, fresh & crispy chips, not to spicy but super flavorful salsa… which they keep bringing you for free. Guacamole is good too! I especially love their taco combo plate with a potato taco, chicken taco & rice & beans. YUM! My mom always orders the chicken soup which they make by scratch & includes a small cob of fresh corn in the soup w/lots of chicken & fresh veggies… great if you have a cold! Oh & almost forgot: they have 3 big screen TVs in back for sports — especially fun to watch soccer games here that I can’t get at home :) This spot is the !

The servers were nice and polite. Service not so much. Dropped the food off and never saw them again. I ordered the Carnitas Tostada. There should be a strict law about what and what cannot be call Carnitas. If there was these dudes should be jailed. If they would have called it roasted pork then I would have known what to expect and would have been like well«ok». These were not Carnitas and the little piggy never saw the beautiful deep frying oil. First time last time! Drop the Mic…

I’ve been to the El Tarasco in MB, but wanted to try this one since it’s closer to my home. Had the super deluxe chicken burrito. Quality meal on their outdoor patio on PCH. No frills and good prices. Excellent service.

I was thoroughly disappointed & embarrassed last night at this El Tarascos. I brought my boyfriend who had never been there. I live down the street and Airbnb my place at times and was going to recommended this restaurant but not anymore. One of the male servers(we never got how name but he is older then the other male server last night. He has facial hair) walked by us twice after we entered and didn’t say anything to us. I had to ask him if we could just seat ourselves, he replied, yes. Then when he came to take our drink order, he was writing something down but he kept confirming what we ordered and Coyle never seem to get it right. Sure enough, my boyfriend’s drink was blended, not on ice like we told the waiter at least 4 times. We had ordered extra shots of tequila for our margaritas, which came in little the little plastic condiment to go containers. The female server that helped bring our drinks said they could fit v the extra shot in the class without over flowing. Why offer and extra shot for you margarita if it’s not going to be in your margarita? And not even in a shot glass. Horrible service. Thank God the female server took or food order after we could not seem to get our make servers attention. He was so inattentive, should not be a server at all. He came by us many times and never asked if w needed anything. I’m not sure if he was on dune medication, a bit slow or I don’t know. Will not go back and such a shame because I’ve enjoyed this restaurant through the years and its walking distance from my place.

The Mr. and I love this place. It’s a spacious restaurant and we are always greeted and seated immediately. The service is spot on, and so friendly that it has to be family owned. Food is very reasonably priced and not to mention delicious. Parking is never a problem even though it’s off of PCH.

GREAT place to have a team party!!! Call ahead to make reservations and you can pretty much have the room to yourself. It’s nice because there’s a large table for the team and then families can sit at the surrounding tables. Amazing service and MUCHMOREFUN than a pizza parlor. Yes, there is a video arcade of sorts, but you can see who’s in there on the closed circuit tv and there’s one of those driveway mirrors that also displays who is playing video games. The food, of course, is scrumptious!

Came here for taco Tuesday and the service was horrible. Once we were seated, our server came to take our order when we barely started looking at the menu so we asked for a few minutes. Never again after that point did we see that server. It took us probably 30 minutes to get someone else’s attention and he took our order. After waiting for an hour, our food finally comes out and the order was completely wrong and missing a few things. At this point we were way too hungry to send it back so we just ate what we were given. The food was good but their lack of service is unacceptable. We were not planning on being there for two and a half hours but since no one was helping us that’s what happened. Save your time and try some place else!

Taco Tuesday is great… The price is right and the quality is good. They have a small playroom that keeps the kids entertained. Service is usually fast and pleasant.

Good, solid Mexican food place. Much more«authentic» then your big chain places like El Torito or Acapulco. Fair prices, friendly staff, tasty food. I recommend the Jr. Super Delux — there’s nothing«Jr» about it, and you could even split it with someone. My favorite part? The bottomless tostada chips and spicy salsa, yum! Is it the best Mexican food around? Probably not, but it’s a reliable restaurant where they greet their«regulars» with a familiar smile and a fresh bowl of salsa. Hard to beat that.

The food looks good and nice big portions the restroom looks awesome as well. The restaurant has a nice Mexican cantina theme a flat screen atm inside and they also sell beer. The young slim light skin lady amazing service she delivers I didn’t get her name bummer. Overall would come here again

I ordered from DoorDash today. Their service was good as always. Today I ordered a tostada and after my forth bite a metal wire got stuck inside my cheek. I was not able to eat anymore of my food because I was scared to eat wire. Looks like this is the last time I will order from them. I made sure to let the rest of the employees in my building to not order from them unless that like to eat metal wire.

This place is good for a late night bite. Came here and got the enchilada plate and carne asada fries. Both yummy… It took a while for them to come to the table and get our order but they were very friendly and nice. There is parking behind the restaurant. They also give you chips and salsa while dining in. Prices are decent and food is good so i will definitely recommend this place if you are in the area looking for something to eat. Maybe after a night in hermosa beach you might have want late night munchies and want mexican food… Come here.

This may be blasphemous to some, but I prefer El Tarasco RB to LBJ. I love love love El Tarasco!!! The food tastes great, portions are huge, and they have great lunch specials. I also think their complimentary chips are wayyyyy better than LBJ. I wanted to wait to write this review until I tried each of their daily lunch specials, but I’ve been going overboard on the Mexican lately, and made a resolution to stop until after the holidays or until I can fit into my skinny pants again. I’m sad, but it’s also great since, now I get to write this review. So far I’ve ordered: Monday special: Jr Deluxe Burrito with Carnitas ~$ 7. I think you can order this with any type of meat. You may get a charge for carne asada, but I’m not 100% sure. Wednesday special: Tostada!!! YUMYUMYUMYUM. There was so much meat, I could only eat 1⁄3 before I was stuffed. Very very tasty. Thursday special: Carne asada plate ~$ 10 Carne asada was very good. Not as good as the carnitas IMHO, but still very good. Nachos: Wow. The ratio of toppings to chips is 2⁄1. These are LOADED. So delicious, even cold and soggy later on, and cold(yes, I ate it right out of the fridge later). All specials come with a drink. Really great place to pick up lunch. To-go service is friendly and fast. My order is always waiting for me by the time I arrive. Tip: No credit cards under $ 10.

I believe this to be a Unilocal Fail. The jr super deluxe is an excellent choice for 7.25. Been in business since 1965 though this location opened in 1998. Best Mexican food in Redondo for sure. Staff is pleasant.
