Don’t trust this business. My bank confirmed that they used my Credit card for other fraudulent charges! Do not trust them!!! Food is very tasty though. Maybe cash only. I’m warning you, don’t go through what I had to with the bank.

I like this place. It’s a mom and pop place. The food is good and lunch prices are very affordable. Service is good but i think they need to hire more people at lunch time. There is usually one person in the front and one in the kitchen so it can get slow in service. I came here twice, one time service was very slow and another time it was quick. It’s better than Panda Express for sure. I definitely will come back. You get soup and salad with your meal.

The food was good. But the service was the most atrocious I have ever experienced. I would expect with the food being as good as it is that there would be customers here. No, just my table and the rest empty. We watched a couple wait for at least 20 min for the waitress to come by but they got up and walked out. Seriously. I won’t be back.

Pretty good. My whole family has favorites and although a little pricey, we always have left overs enough for lunch the next day. Delivery is terrific — always arrives on time and hot. Inside the restaurant is a bit dated and service slow, but the food is piping hot and fresh when it comes out and tastes terrific! Definitely a family favorite!

Fantastic food! We have been looking in the beach cities for a while for some good Chinese food. We finally found it. Rice so yummy and moist with egg. Tired of the dry hard rice elsewhere we have experienced. Sweet and sour delicious with alot of sauce. Noodles fantastic and egg flower soup wonderful. Will be back! Sweet pleasant service. Authentic. Was in Hong Kong last year and this place is the real deal.

Not an OMG why haven’t I been here before. But it’s not bad for the South Bay. You have to know what to order because some dishes are better than others. It’s a personal preference, but I like their roast duck and don’t recommend their Peking duck. Also like their chow fun, dry style without gravy. If you order pan fried noodles to go, ask them to pack the noodles separate from the sauce. Reasonable prices for what you get. Nice people working here once you get to know them.

People, suck it up! If you have ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant where the waitress has not been slightly rude to you, you’re definitely not in an authentic Chinese restaurant. Those are the best kinds! Put your big boy pants on and just enjoy the experience of the rude Chinese server. This place is authentic. I had the kung pao chicken honey walnut shrimp(as others suggested) perfectly prepared, homestyle, not from a can or jar, authentic chinese. Yum! Yum!

Mediocre and gross… I read the large amount of bad reviews. But it is right down the street and i planned on ordering orange chicken, fried rice and chicken with broccoli(how could they mess that up. Right?) Wrong… The orange chicken was a filet of fried chicken with a disgusting weird sauce poured in a big gunky, sloppy mess on top of it. Seriously weird and gross. The fried rice was OK and the chicken with broccoli was also just OK… I definitely will not go back and I seriously do not advice anyone going. Just really not good

Not impressed with their lack of response in verifying they received my order through Eat24. I ordered at 5:40pm online and an Eat24 rep called at 6:20 saying he’s been on hold with the restaurant for 15 minutes. They put him on hold when he asked to confirm they received my order. I tried calling the restaurant too and it kept ringing and then the voicemail would say it’s full. I cancelled my order and ordered from Top Wok. My order from Top Wok arrived 35 minutes after I ordered it. Emerald Green showed up at 7:30pm while I was devouring Top Wok. I told the driver to take it back and that I cancelled my order because of their Unresponsiveness. Unbelievable! It took them almost 2 hours. Completely unacceptable.

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Chow Mein for delivery, and not only was the food delicious, the portions were generously sized for the price and I ended up with two meals out of it, and I’m a pretty big guy. Would definitely order it again. Actually, I just did. If you are planning on eating at the restaurant, I can’t attest to what the other reviews have said about the bad service because I ordered delivery, but if you glance through even the bad reviews, they all say at least the food is good. If you have never tried food from Emerald Garden, it is definitely worth a try. The chefs know what they are doing.

Dang! Wish I would’ve read these reviews before we went here! The food was ok and I would’ve gone back but the lady that serves you had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen! No welcome when we first got there. When I ordered, I thought I offended her and when she brought the check, I offered to pay for my party and you think I had frikin worms coming out of my mouth. Never again!!!

Very delicious. Not overly sweet cheap chinese food, but well prepared food. Good service and fast. Their wontons were delicious and i dont feel bloated after the meal. Had the lemon chicken and my gf had the shrimp with lobster. We will certainly return!

Since the first time I came here its never been the same. The food is good but the lady that serves you gets worst every time I come and today was the worst service ever. The food and service don’t match at all. They need to make there restaurant more friendly to those who come to eat. So just beware when you go.

The only think I’ve ever ordered here was the hot and sour soup and it was bland. I ended up throwing in a ton of stuff(pepper, soy sauce, etc) to get some flavor into it. Didn’t inspire me to want to come back and try anything else. On the plus side, it was ready super quick. The restaurant is kind of dark and dingy… definitely needs a face lift and the employees all have expressions on their face like they just hate life.

Been going there for 17 years… They need to remodel: same old curtains and tables and carpet and pictures… Looks so run down and NOW The food is reflecting the décor … Food is overpriced And dry and sloppy looking. We got dry fried rice and shriveled dumplings

We ate here again and ordered the exact.same.thing and it wasn’t as good… How was that possible? Different cook maybe? Maybe the first time I was exceptionally hungry and it tasted better than it actually was? The only difference was that the first time I waited for the order to be made, the second time I ordered on the phone and it is possible that it was done sooner than they said and it sat in the containers a little too long so that it wasn’t quite as fresh. This time the broccoli was much softer. Either way this place is now just OK to me.

Authentic Chinese food with generous portions: +1. Friendly. The Chinese lady came over several times to refill my water or ask me if I needed anything. +1 Great value. I got the lunch special(11am-2pm) and got a big plate of food with a scoop of rice(white or fried), eggroll(with mustard, sweet & sour sauces), and a generous portion of your main entrée. Plus tea for about $ 6.50WITH tax. $ 8 out the door with tip is not bad +1 You also get soup(egg flower or hot & sour) and salad +1 Large selection. There were over 2 dozen choices from the lunch menu, all between $ 5-$ 6 +1 Local business bonus

I am a very giving person and share anything I have, except for my chinese food. Still, I LIKE the experience of going into a restaurant with a nice white table cloth, a lazy susan in the middle to help pass things around and the ability to sit down somewhere nice and relax and be served some really flavorful chinese food(which we’ve done once). I LOVE the experience of sitting at home in my jammies and ordering up some of fast chinese food that far exceeds panda express(don’t get me wrong, I love Panda too). What tops all of that?! Being able to order online( ) and send it into cyberspace only to have it show up at your door(which we do almost monthly). My kids love the steamed dumplings(or gyozas) and I love that it’s not fried. The dipping sauce is just the right mix of salty and tangy. We usually get a fried rice with chicken, then Orange Flavored Chicken(which is breaded chicken with a sweet citrus sauce on it) and kung pao chicken or beef and broccoli which is as one would imagine, but their veggies retain their crisp some which I like. I am not a fan of soggy veggies. We’ve also tried their honey walnut shrimp as an occasional treat. I usually also order a war wonton soup for lunch the next day and I’m picky when it comes to this soup — but it comes with plenty of dumplings, meat, veggies and shrimp so I Love it.(I usually add sriracha to mine at home). The only thing that confuses me is the sizzling rice meal — perhaps it doesn’t translate as well into take out, but it’s not quite what I expect(the rice we receive is not sizzling — and I know it’s not supposed to be the fried rice). However, what we receive is still delicious and we enjoy the meal. Our Three-thumb review gave it 2 ½ thumbs up. My son claims he doesn’t like Chinese food yet does like broccoli beef and dumplings(last I checked, chinese food). My daughter ONLY wants the Orange Flavor chicken which is a little sweet for our taste, but I take the edge off with sriracha and soy sauce. I always finish my meal with the«In Bed» game when reading the fortune cookies(to myself — not ready to teach them that game yet)! #ThreeThumbReviews

Haven’t ordered from them in awhile, and gave them another shot. They delivered very quickly, but the food only confirmed my original impression – it’s generally very bland. The moo-shu pork was good, but the honey walnut shrimp and pork ribs were lackluster. I remembered their chow mein to be dry, too. Doubt I’ll be ordering from them again. The sad thing is there aren’t many good Chinese places around me. Guess I’ll have to stick to Thai.

This place has always been solid 3 star Chinese food. The lady/owner is really nice(especially if you order in Cantonese). If we were craving authentic Chinese dishes but were lazy and didn’t want to drive too far from the beach to Gardena(or even just Torrance), we’d call in an order here. BUT this past Sunday they really surprised us… the food was great! I don’t know if they changed chefs or if maybe they just weren’t as busy so could put more effort towards our dishes, but our taste buds were pleased! We called in our order for the honey walnut shrimp($ 12?), sautéed string beans($ 8), and spicy eggplant($ 8). The prices are good for their serving sizes. If you’re calling in your order, they ask if you want rice and for how many people. This is tricky because they estimate rice portions per person. Since we ordered 3 entrees, I had to ask for another container of rice to accommodate whatever leftovers we would have. Keep it up, Emerald Garden! =)
