Meet the Business Owner

Angelo C.

Business Owner

Born in San Dona’di Piave, a town in the Eastern Veneto region that in ancient times was bordering the lagoon with many little islands where the people found refuge after the collapsing of the Roman Empire.

At the age of 14, he worked as bar back at the renowned Excelsior Hotel in Jesolo, one of the most popular beach resorts of the Adriatic coast. In 1981, Angelo began working at the legendary Savoy Hotel in London, where he learned all there is to know about the restaurant business. He also developed a passion for wines and different ethnic foods. He joined Princess Cruises, traveling around the world for the next four years.

Angelo landed in Los Angeles in the late 1980’s and worked at Adriano’s Restaurant in Bel Air. A few years later, he joined the team of Prego Ristorante in Beverly Hills. Ca’ Del Sole Ristorante has been his home from 1994, until his departure in September 2011 to open Hostaria Piave, a place that will always show his passion for food and wine.
