Knob Hill Cleaners

We are long-​time customers (10 years) and spend at least $ 25 a week at this place. I noticed that they charge twice as much to launder and press a woman’s oxford shirt as they charge for a man’s oxford shirt. I would get it if the shirt were small and required hand pressing. But the shirts are very large — akin to a men’s large or extra large oxford shirt. The ONLY difference is that the buttons are on the opposite side of a man’s shirt. I really like these people and tried to talk to the counter person today about it. All I got is that they charge more for women’s shirts. Not really an answer and really wrong. Truly disappointed.

I am so bummed to have to write this but I need to for future customers. I have been using Knob Hill Cleaners for years. They do a great job he workers are all very nice and prices are reasonable. BUT last week when I went in to pick up my husbands shirts the lady working brings one of my husbands shirts out and it is in shreds. Long story short it most likely got torn in their machine. I mean accidents happen right. BUT she made it sound like I brought it in like that and put ALL the blame on me. I was shocked as she was NOT going to take any responsibility. I left and was just going to find a new cleaners. Then the next morning my husband goes through the 8 shirts I had just picked up and (1) of them was NOT his, We were missing one of our shirts and now had someone else’s shirt. I immediately called and was told to bring shirt and receipt in. When I got there they asked me what shirt we were missing and I said, I have NO idea (and like it matters) Anyway, after 10 days I am still waiting for OWNER to call me… I won’t hold my breath. VERY VERY disappointed…

My family and I have been taking our clothes to Knob Hill Cleaners since we moved to the area in 2002. We chose the place for its proximity to our home, but we stayed for the friendly service and the great work they do. They have a very quick turnaround and competitive prices. Plus, they’re in a great location, just steps away from doughnuts or burritos.

Knob Hill Cleaners is family owned and operated and you can tell because they treat you like one of their own. The owners are kind and funny. I like that they recognize their customers. They offer reliable service of all kinds. This includes laundry, dry cleaning, alterations, shoe repair, wedding dress cleaning, etc. They are also conveniently located off of PCH with plenty of parking. They offer same day service if dropped off before 7 AM. They are also open SUPER eary which makes a drop off before work simple. Knob Hill is one of four locations serving the south bay (the others have different names), you can easily transfer to another location should it be closer to home or work. I highly suggest this place! I have been getting my clothes laundered here for years.

I’ve been taking my cleaning to this location for a couple years and have never left unsatisfied. Service is warm and friendly, same day turnaround is at NO EXTRA CHARGE, and they work miracles with stains. I’d recommend Knob Hill to anyone who lives in the area. They also offer laundry for under garments which is nice when you run out of hours in the week.

I agree with previous Unilocalers. Older lady is unpleasant. Younger woman is much better Person to deal with. They do not accept debit cards for less than $ 10. I will not be back.

They were good about getting my cleaning done in time for my Le Cordon Bleu graduation, but it looked like they may have dropped my bright white chef coat on the ground before I got it. There were a few smudges of dirt on it. I found that annoying, but other than that, the coat looked very nice. I suppose the convenience in location bumps it up to 3 stars for me, too.

Tried this place off a groupon. Service was ok. Regular prices seem a little high.

Mixed service here… One older lady is firm on coupons allowed for certain items; younger staff is lenient & gives friendly service. Delicate items with adornments/​beads/​sequins MUST be released from dry cleaners liability for any & all damage that may occur. (Wow! What a red flag!!) They require your signature before they will accept your clothing for cleaning. Something I have never seen in my almost 30yrs using dry cleaners. Will never patron again.

Family owned dry cleaners. Fast, efficient, friendly. Equipment offsite. Full service laundry available. I’ve even seen entire wardrobes being laundered (including socks and underwear!)
