I have seen Nancy throughout the years for different reasons… personal, family and work issues. Nancy is a wonderful therapist because she knows when to push you and when to be gentle with you. I always felt safe with her because of her warmth, compassion and knowledge. The last time I saw Nancy she helped me through the most difficult period of my life. I was so low, so overwhelmed and I felt hopeless and helpless. She gave me hope when I had none. She even managed to make me laugh at times. I’m writing a review because I want people to know whatever you may be facing, Nancy can help you through it. I will be forever grateful to her for guiding me through the darkest time of my life. I really don’t know how I would have made it without her. Unfortunately for me, I moved out of California not too long ago but needless to say, I highly recommend her. I miss knowing I no longer have her to fall back on should a new need for therapy arise. Oh! One other thing to know about Nancy is that she will not have you continue therapy because she wants to keep you dependent on her and/​or keep the money coming in. She will discuss with you and let you know if she thinks you are ready to let go of sessions with her. That is very revealing of her integrity.

Dr. Maloney is a wonderful therapist. She helped me really get grounded several years ago, and I still like to see her once in awhile to regroup and gain some perspective.
She is a lovely, wonderful, and caring doctor who I always have faith in and who seems to always have faith in me.
I highly recommend her.

Nancy Maloney provides a warm, safe, and comfortable environment in which to discuss issues. She is supportive, yet challenging when a therapist ought to be. She has been practicing for over 30 years, and clients can really feel her experience when she counsels you. She doesn’t push you to places you don’t want to go; she points you in the right direction… the movement is up to you, as it should be. Her office is an ideal place to heal, mend, grow, and flourish. You can also watch the sunset while you’re in session!

Nancy Maloney is a genuine, caring and gifted human being. She will tell you the truth when you need to hear it. She is courageous. She is generous and committed to her work and to her clients. She is gifted in that she can see into peoples souls and say the thing that will elicit the best in from you. She gives hope. I am amazed at how much she can take in and how much love and caring she can put out.

Some people come into your life and make such an impression that you never forget them. I haven’t been to see Nancy since 1999, but she is one of those people to whom I will always be indebted. Whenever I think of her, I can’t help but smile and feel deeply grateful for her compassionate honesty during the therapy sessions I had with her, both individually and with my boyfriend at the time.
Nancy is the real deal. I had seen other therapists prior to my boyfriend suggesting we go to see her for counseling. I probably saw her for less than 15 sessions… some were joint sessions… others were individual. I don’t remember exactly how many it was now, all these years later. What I remember is her kindness, her insightful comments, and compassionate but firm suggestions. She made a huge difference in my life with her observations, suggested readings, and the patient/​therapist trust she worked to establish. Although I continue to read about self-​actualization on my own, I have never felt the need to seek therapy since my time with her. Somehow I experienced years of healing old wounds that I wasn’t fully aware even existed… or how they were holding me back.
In the moment, I didn’t always recognize what she was pointing out to me, but I always recognized her sincerity. Over the years, I came to see and understand what she had been trying to show me all along. I’m so very grateful for what she pointed out, because when the time came for me to see it, I could recognize it because she had already made me aware of it. It is the gift that keeps on giving, year after year.
I will never forget her name, her face, or her warm hugs. Honestly, she is the best hugger I have ever hugged, but that is not why you should place your faith in her. She’s extraordinary at what she does, and she genuinely has your best interest at heart.
I give Nancy Maloney my absolute highest recommendation as a marriage and family therapist. If you are open to learning, healing, growing and doing the introspection that this requires, the two of you will be able to work miracles in your life… but you have to be willing to do your part~
