While I’ve only been here once, I really liked it. Location-​wise, it’s perfect! It’s right next to the bike path so you can hop on there easily and start heading north or south. :) The owners are super nice too… my friends and I had returned our bikes when it was pouring rain. The owners let us hide out from the rain while we waited for our über (they were closed for the day already), and even offered us some blueberry muffins! :) Prices weren’t bad at all, and we were outta there with our bikes within 5 minutes.
If you have visitors here and want to do some outdoor activity, there’s nothing like biking along the beach… and Marina Bike Rentals is a great place to rent your bike (if you don’t own one already)

The owner of this store is super nice and we’ve been coming here for a long time. The bikes and equipment are nice and the prices are good. The reason for the ³⁄₅ is because of the mediocre service. The staff is hardly engaged and are not very helpful. Hopefully, they can improve on this because it is a great location with nice rentals!

The fact that the staff was super friendly AND had six, great bikes available for my entire family (even though we came in an hour before closing), makes me happy. We had a great ride and the transaction was super fast and easy.

Can’t say anything but what a place. Had just what we needed for a great day by the beach. Friendly and affordable. Must do it again.

Marina Bike Rentals is conveniently located near the Crown Plaza Redondo not too far from the pier. Although the hotel also had bike rentals, the fact that Marina Bike Rentals had hybrids sold me since I regularly ride at home.
The rental process is pretty easy. You fill out a form and show them an ID and credit card. Helmets are included with the rental price and they help set you up on the bike if needed. There are hourly rates or all day rentals. On each of my visits we did the hourly rentals and I really liked that they didn’t charge you until you got back as opposed to locked you down to say an hour then slapping on a high fee for coming back late.
I thought the bikes themselves were pretty solid hybrids. I have a Diamondback and a Trek at home, and thought the rentals offered were somewhere nicely in between.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the little corgi, Abby. This store dog had the charm to sell me anything.
The Friendship Walk was going on in Hermosa the second day of our visit. It made the bike path extremely difficult to navigate and I wish they gave us a heads up. Then again, we still would have rented anyways, but it would have been nice to find an alternate route through the crowds. We also had a limited time to ride that day so it was a little frustrating when the staff didn’t arrive until 10 minutes after they were supposed to open.
All and all, I was very happy with my rental experience and wish I was able to do a full day rental to ride to Santa Monica.
It goes without saying, it is a gorgeous area to ride a bike. Get outdoors and explore the Pacific coast.

Rented a tandem bike on a whim and loved every minute of it! Great and courteous owner, Craig who was very helpful and made us feel comfortable getting on a tandem bike for the first time. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in the area!

While my brother was visiting, we decided to ride up the coast so we had to find a place to rent him a bike. I found Marina Bike Rentals in Redondo and decided to try it out. We rented the 7 speed which is $ 10/​hr or $ 30/​day. We were able to fill out the paperwork and get the bike within 5 min. The bike was in pretty good shape and it also came with a lock which, although we didn’t use, was nice to have just in case we stopped anywhere.
Another great thing about this place is that they have free parking in their lot for customers!
I was expecting it to cost us $ 20 since we went about an hour and a half but I was pleasantly surprised when I was only charged $ 15! I will definitely be coming back here when I have friends/​family visiting!

Rented two single speed bikes to ride down the strand and back. The bikes were in good shape, and provided a lock and basket for us to use free of charge. We were helped without a hitch, and prices were reasonable ($ 8/​hr). Pay cash and save a buck off your bill. They do have other bike options for more.
The parking lot is a bit of a maze, and there is construction going on all around. Located in the same plaza as Cheesecake factory.

Whenever we have friends and family in from out of town we always rent from marina bike rentals. Their bikes are new, lightweight and comfortable. The services we received from Shark were informative and outstanding. The kids really love to visit Abby, the shop dog. The owners Craig and Denise are laid back and generous. This beach bike shack is a must do if you are visiting Redondo Beach.

Good bike, came with a lock and I was glad that there was a water bottle holder. Very courteous but a bit unorganized as it took a while for inside staff to signal the outside staff to retrieve the bike, as well as to get the lock.

Just had my first visit to Redondo Beach. I googled bike rentals… and this place did not disappoint. They had really good pricing friendly customer service, and a wide variety of bikes to choose from. They do charge an extra dollar if you pay with debit/​credit vs cash. But, overall I would definitely rent from this place again.

Favorite bike rental in the area. Owners are really friendly and very helpful. Always have offered locks and/​or baskets with rental. Convenient location if you want to bike from beginning of the beach path all the way up to Marina del Rey. Good prices, and great cruisers available. Highly recommend.

I rented from them last year, and had a great experience. They were 1 – 2 dollars more than some other options, but their bikes are much nicer and newer and in better shape – well worth it. Then this year I was back in town, but brought my own bikes, only to realize I’d forgotten a helmet for my 7 year old son. I came here to ask if I could rent a helmet. No questions asked, he gave me a helmet to use for the day for free, and threw in a bike lock as well. I returned it before 5 as they asked, they said «no charge, have a nice day.» It’s nice to have a good friendly experience, and I heartily recommend them!

Called to inquire about bike rental for me and my kids and was recommended another company because of road construction and he wasn’t comfortable renting it out to me under those conditions. Honest company that I will sure rent from when construction on Harbor Drive is completed.

I recently rented bikes a few weeks ago in Phoenix and was not expecting a good selection for my height because the last bike shop I rented at had ONE option — only one (a beach cruiser that was way too big for me).
The guy that helped us was really friendly and he told me he had beach cruisers that would fit me as well as multi-​speed bikes. I was so excited! I didn’t have any issues with the bike and felt really comfortable on it. We came back to return the bike approximately 2.5 hours later and he charged me $ 20. The last bike shop in Phoenix (above) charged me $ 32 for a beach cruiser for 3 hours. I was stoked and the transaction was seamless! They even offered a lock in case we wanted to park our bikes somewhere.

Super simple to rent bikes here. Came here with my hunny rented 2 bikes $ 8 each not bad at all for the hour. All you need is I.D. & a credit card boom rented your done. Loved the simplicity of finding this location right by the beach & the speediness of renting. We took a nice bike ride on the beach side right by the sand & to the peir & back. Nice work out in the amazing breeze of 80degrees when it was 100 degrees in Los Angeles. Will be returning for more rentals to come.

I have always brought my friends here to rent bikes and it is always good service.
The other day I got a flat on my beloved beach cruiser. I went in and talked to Craig who is Super friendly he took good care of me and got me hooked up with the bike mechanic at the shop and WOW he turned my baby back into a brand new bike! Fixed my brakes, cleaned every spoke, got rid of the rusting, shined up the paint, adjusted the gears and fixed the tubing in my tires for $ 50! My bike is 5 years old and looks brand new again! I am more than happy with the service and will return again, for rentals and service!

Headline: Nice staff, bikes get the job done
I’ve rented bikes a few times from this location-it’s a solid option down in Redondo. if you go to Hermosa to rent the full day rate maybe a few dollars cheaper, but at $ 8/​hr and $ 24/​day for a beach cruiser, the price is ok.
a previous review noted they mistakenly returned a bike late, so now they make you initial that you know the closing time, and there’s a huge sign anyway that you can’t miss.

Let me start of by saying this place can totally spoil someone’s sunday funday! I decided to check this place out last sunday because the hours on their website clearly state they are open until 6 p.m. every day and my fiancé and I wanted to have a nice ride out. When I walked in it was chaos, the most disorganized bike rental place I have ever been to. It’s clearly a family owned business but I don’t think they were trained or have the right communication skills. I asked for a specific bike, the entire time the older lady who was helping would interrupt me and yell out to others outside or around me. She literally rushed me out of the store and didn’t even give me the bike I had requested. She quickly took my credit card number information and asked me to initial below (never stating at what time she wanted us back.) Again, there was so much chaos and her attitude was just so strong that I took the bike without complaining. The bike was good I don’t have anything negative to say about it, we had a nice ride to Marina Del Rey… the day was awesome but was quickly ruined upon our arrival back to MARINA BIKE RENTALS. It was exactly 5:50 p.m. we even arrived 10 minutes early from the moment I walked in a younger lady started to harass me. She immediately yelled at me «don’t you know we are close at 5:30″ I replied calmly» I’m sorry I looked at your website and it says 6:00 p. m”. I actually had the page open still on my cell phone and showed it to her. She replied «I don’t know who wrote that because we close at 5:30 didn’t you read the sign» and pointed to a sign that was in a hidden location behind where she was standing. I said «again I am sorry, it’s my first time here and I went by your website and no one told me when I had to be back» Then she yelled at me again «well you should read things before you sign them, it’s a $ 50 extra charge for late returns» I was so shocked and felt so disrespected that this woman was yelling at me after I showed her the website hours, told her it was my first time there. She charged me $ 30 instead and yank the money from me, I walked outside and she followed behind me and yelled once again «you should learn to read signs» I should have seriously read the previous reviews on here because apparently they have earned themselves a horrible reputation. I will NEVER again rent from this place, I rather drive to Hermosa and rent from the guys there, who are professional, take their time, explain things in a proper way and encourage you to have an amazing time. Total mood kill! they are over priced and just plain rude. I will post a screen shot of their business hours that they should update if it’s really 5:30 p.m. that they close.

My girlfriend and I wanted to make the most of the time we spent in Redondo Beach, since we’re rarely in the area, so we decided to rent some bikes before our dinner. As I looked up bike rental spots, Marina Bike Rentals seemed to the closest. I thought the price of $ 8 per hour was a bit steep, but apparently it’s pretty competitive with the other spots around the area.
The staff were very friendly and informative.
My one gripe about the place was that the bikes we got weren’t the best of quality. The steering was way off. I had to turn side to side to maintain a straight path. It took some getting used to and I was very nervous to bike on the streets and the congested areas because I thought I was gonna run into other bikers, pedestrians, and cars.
