Awesome Thai massage for $ 45 per hour. All the massage therapists I’ve had here are amazing! Strong/​therapeutic AND relaxing at the same time.

I have been to many Thai massage places in the South Bay, and this is my new go-​to place! Nice special when you buy 5 gift cards — $ 45 per hour. All the girls here are not only talented therapists but ambassadors for the business too. I tip pretty good with the idea that the girls work hard for a complete hour on me, this is not like a restaurant where you tip 15% for the waitress checking on you a couple of times. In any case, I ALWAYS get met with big smiles! All the certificates are posted right on the wall, the place is spotless, and in a great and safe neighborhood with tons of parking. It’s in a little shopping center on the East side of PCH. Thanks ladies, you all are the best!

The best Authentic Tia massage I have received. The whole staff is excellent.
It is very clean and relaxing it’s all about the Thia massage. And very very professional. You can’t go wrong here. I am a doctor and have been receiving massages for over two decades. These ladies and one man know their stuff.

As a person who has experienced authentic Thai massage at Wat Po massage school in Thailand, I can easily say this is an authentic and wonderful place to receive excellent massage. They are skilled therapists and the treatments will make you feel rejuvenated and wonderful.

I came in twice for a massage and both were great. The first time I came in just to try it, and I asked if they could do a 30 minute massage, which they did. I don’t think they typically offer that service, but they were flexible with my time constraints. The two women I met were really kind and experienced professionals. I feel like I found a new favorite massage place. Also, out of curiosity I checked out another Thai massage spot in the south bay, and they charged $ 10 more for a one hour massage, so that was also something I can appreciate about Nana Thai.

I have always had an amazing massage here. However, they have changed owners and while the massage was excellent the new owner is rude and cheap. I had a punch card from previous owners and she took it away and provided me a new one. I only had one massage out of ten on the card. She could have honored it. Also they advertise and early bird special and no longer honor this either. When I asked about it the owner told me to go find a penny saver for a discount. Lame. Don’t know if I’ll come back here even though the massages are always great.

I adore this place. Everyone who works there is so kind. They really care. I always mention where on my body I would like to focus, and they go above and beyond to get your body right. I dance and am very athletic, I need massages, and this is the place to go. Their Swedish/​Thai combo massage gets all the soreness, acid build up in muscles, and tension away. I took my boyfriend there and he said it felt like 15 pounds had been taken off him.
Their price is beyond reasonable. You can guarantee you will leave there feeling better than ever.
The staff is passionate, and their oasis is the cleanest massage studio I have ever been to. The ambience is also very soothing and authentic. This place is the best!!!

Recently have been strength training with barbell exercises and while I foam roll after workouts my back always feels tight. Especially after heavy overhead pressing I would have a crazy sore neck and upper back the next few days; the root cause is irrelevant to this review. I can always train through the pain but enduring it day-​to-​day sucks. While I was visiting friends in LA I heard about nearby Nana Thai Bodywork and thought it might work well for me. Turns out it realllly made a huge difference and I haven’t felt the same pain for at least two weeks since the massage!
I got lucky to fit into a time for the same day because another customer couldn’t make an appointment. However I would recommend making an appointment ahead of time since the staffing seems small.
I arrived and waited several minutes to be helped and Sammy met me. She was very nice and we conversed a little, because I was in no rush and we both wanted to chitchat. Shortly after, she lead me to one room then left as I stripped to my undies and lay on a clean massage bench under a towel (towel remains on the whole time). There was soft music, calm dim lighting, and a nice atmosphere to the shop overall.
NOW the massage! There are a few styles of massage available, and each has a different goal. My goal was to relax overly sore muscles and get rid of knots, more like a physical therapy session and not a comfy meditative session. Thus I chose a hybrid Thai-​massage: «Hot (warm) Oil» and «Traditional» (pressure points and stretching you out). Not gonna lie, this style of massage was painful. BUT, Sammy and I both understand pain vs «the good hurt» and she was very careful to calibrate the appropriate pressure before learning of my high tolerance for discomfort — not pain. And then I was very pleased at how strong she is. Her hands are strong and she had no trouble manipulating my ~190pounds to stretch me out. She would periodically check to make sure it wasn’t bad pain.
In the hour or so she focused on my requested problem area (neck, upper back, shoulders) and then had some time for the rest of the body. Overall a superb Thai-​massage session and very aligned with my goals for the massage.
95% SUPERB, 5%SUB-PAR: For a few minutes near the end of the session to ‘cap things off smoothly’ was Lymphatic Drainage massage for my face and front-​neck (laying on my back). I was not impressed by the quality of this because it did not feel as relaxing or restorative as it is intended to be or that I have had elsewhere. I understand this is a different style and effect than Thai but with effort, someone of her caliber can definitely improve.
Point of concern: She was the only one in the shop on this day for some reason and so she happened to take a phone call partway. This didn’t bug me; she had to run the store alone and she made up lost time, but I could see this annoying some folk who take time out of their day and money out of their wallets for a session. To the owner: I kindly suggest an answering machine: p
Afterwards I was a little sore, and the Internets conclude that this can expected from all the stretching and pressure points of Traditional Thai massage. I drank plenty of water and didn’t exercise for two days in order to fully recover.
EFFECT: I felt dramatically better after one session of grinding knots away and relaxing many tight muscles. Felt sore only until the next day, but that «good sore.» My previous day-​to-​day pain completely vanished when the massage soreness did.
VALUE: I have never wanted to pay ANY money for a massage if it doesn’t either fix-​up tired muscles or feel relaxing, so for that I understand a previous Unilocaler’s sentiment. In this case I have no regrets about Sammy or the pricing. I am a satisfied customer and if I’m in the area again will definitely go back. I highly recommend her to give a Thai massage!

I just went there last week, and I have to admit this is a very good Thai massage place. The price is reasonable. The location is pretty hard to find because it is inside the plaza. However, the place is very clean and quiet. The lady worked really hard on my knot. She also gave me a stretching and I felt very good afterward.

This was great! Hour long massage, totally worth the price. The combination Swedish massage/​lazy yoga is great as it stretches you out but they also take the opportunity to work out your knots.

Last weekend I passed by this store and I gave myself a try. It was so great! I got a deep tissue cuz my shoulders and lower back need it. The therapist were nice and room was really clean. It’s small place but awesome! Definitely go back again.
Tips: Tell your therapist where would you like them to work on it. Don’t be shy just make sure she give you enough pressure that you want.

This is one of the very best Thai Massage places around. They are professional and provide an outstanding experience IF you are prepared for Thai Massage. Thai massage involves stretching while being massaged. It is not a style for everyone as it is aggressive and uncomfortable if you are not prepared for it. With that said, you may experiences some discomfort during the massage, but you will feel amazing the next day. It is like assisted yoga and Nana and Edie are both masters at their field.

Don’t bother coming to this place. I called in for a 90 minute massage asking for someone who could give me a nice firm massage… well my massage didn’t last more than 30 minutes because it was god awful. I don’t think the girl who was working on me knew what she was doing. Honestly, I get massages quite often… this one by far is the worst massage I’ve received. I’ve never had the guts to get up and tell someone to stop, because I would just endure it… but there’s a first for everything… and this was it! Do save yourself the time and money and find a different location. The place is decent and and the ambiance is good… but if that’s all you care about… then it might be for you.
