I’ve checked all around and can honestly say this is the best place to purchase designers clothing and shoes at reasonable prices. The location is a little off the grid, close to «Always Fabulous», but the store itself is great. The first time I went there, I purchased a few items (Zara, Benetton, Urban Outfitters). I was surprised with a wide selection of designer’s purses and shoes they offer. I couldn’t expect to find such a fun shop in LA but this place is unique! My friend and I were so pleased that we came back the next week and there were new jeans and shoes so we ended up grabbing everything that had caught our eyes. The staff is very courteous and ready to help, especially Giannina. I will try consign there some of my jeans. Happy hunting!

This place is a gem for high quality — mostly designer — amazingly priced ladies’ stuff! Since there’s a ton of different styles represented, it really helps for you to have a good idea of what you’re looking for before you walk in, and be clear on what colors/​styles/​cuts really make you happy! If you have a good sense of that, you will definitely score some awesome stuff! Really warm and welcoming staff as well. Just great all around!

I almost didn’t review because I want this place to remain a secret… but alas, it’s already well discovered. It depends on the day, but 99% of the time I find AMAZING treasures here (clothing, dresses, evening wear, shoes, purses, sunglasses, and sometimes jewelry) which always receive compliments and people asking me «Where did you buy that?!» I had to attend a wedding this summer and bought a dress at a dept store, then coincidentally found a much better dress at Return Engagement. If you have an eye for fashion, this place never fails. I frequently donate/​sell clothing here too (they pick through what they want to sell vs donate). They are VERY selective as to what items they’ll keep to sell, to keep their fashion current, but I’ve enjoyed a lot of store credit from items which have sold on consignment. It’s the sacred «Fashion circle of life!»

I was very surprised to see the quality and the prices of the clothes and shoes in the store because of the wonderful reviews this store received. I thought that the clothes were just okay, and the prices were very high. The same can be said about the shoes. It was very disappointing.
The sales people were nice. That was about it.
I did find another shop that is an absolutely wonderful, beautiful consignment boutique in the same shopping area called: «Always Fabulous».
I was shopping for a lovely evening dress or gown, and a dressy pair of sandals.

As good as it gets! Giannina, the store manager, is so very professional, kind and knows exactly what she is doing. She gave me a sense of confidence and trust that makes me want to keep coming back. The other ladies are also great, but she really took the time to explain the consignment system to me, over the phone and in person yesterday. I left a designer purse there for a while, while I made up my mind to consign it or keep it-​she did not rush me or give me a hard time because it took me a while to retrieve it! I do not live close by anymore, but I still return to this fun place where they excel in customer service whether you are consigning or buying. Fabulous customer service is a lost art, so thank you ladies for your great attitude!

I once came in to consign on a very stressful and overwhelming day. I had just found out that one of my senior kitty has cancer. At my appointment to consign, I had brought in X number of items. Once the store made their picks and returned the rest, I was sure that they gave me back one item short. Flustered, I was looking all around and feeling more stressed. Giannina was so kind. She seems to have sensed that maybe there was something else upsetting me. To calm me, she showed me their back work area floor, the hanger areas so that I could see my item wasn’t dropped anywhere. She then walk with me to my car and helped me check if I dropped it there. Later, she very nicely told me that I probably dropped it at home and that if they see the item I describe later, they will surely give me a call. Turned out, I did drop the one item at home when I rushed out of the house for the appointment. I just really appreciate they way they treated me that day, both Alicia and Giannina.
Besides my personal experience with them, I find their consignment process very easy. You have 3 options: 1) Consign and get 50% of the selling price which will reduce as the item sits longer in the store, 2) Trade and get 50% in store credit, or 3) Sell the items to them at 30% which they will pay you by check. Every time I come in, they will tell me about all these options and explain the process. You can check your balance on their store website and picking up a check for your balance is also very easy.
Overall, I am a fan of the people who run this place. Great local business to support.

I’m torn on this place. The staff seemed very sweet, but then they very sweetly told me that my clothes smell like a closet (?) while sniffing one of my sweaters distastefully right in front of another customer. It was an effort to laugh it off, and I don’t know if I succeeded with any kind of grace. When I asked them to describe the styles they like for future reference, they basically pointed to my stuff and said not this. Like I said, they were kind about it, but it didn’t help me or make me feel confident that a second trip wouldn’t be a waste of time for selling.
I have been in before to browse and again I feel ambivalent. Some things are killer at a killer deal! Then there was the Forever 21 dress??? I work in fashion and could not get a beat on the style they are after. Usually at Wasteland or Crossroads or Buffalo I can get a feel for the «look» the buyers want for their particular location, but I was lost.
Two stars because that is what Unilocal says counts as «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

If you are looking for quality at a reasonable price plus satisfaction.. Th Is the place to go… it’s amazing to see the great collection of item to choose from… guaranteed you will be satisfied with your purchase…

They just simply get 5 stars. I have bought and sold here. They offer consignment as well though I have just sold outright. Super sweet employees– my hands were full really quick for obvious reasons, they came multiple times to take my to-​try-​on items. Everything was safely waiting for me by the dressing rooms with a no-​touchy rubber band around the hangers. They were just awesome and nice. The dressing rooms are spacey and well lit. The store is clean and organized. Don’t expect thrift store prices. Do expect forever 21 prices for real, gently used or brand new designer items. For example, on my second visit to the store I snagged a sick pair of boots I wear almost every day brand new for $ 12, and a NEW twelfth street by cynthia vincent (orig. $ 450+) for $ 30. For emphasis: THIRTY DOLLARS FOR A $ 450 MAXI DRESS IN FLAWLESS CONDITION.

This place is really fun to shop, and the staff are all really nice, helpful and friendly. They’re easy to work with if you are consigning pieces, too. They offer you a check or store credit and ask you if you’d like unsold items donated.
Minus one star for incorrect sizing. They put a different size on their tags than the item actually is. For example, a Lululemon piece that was a size 10 was labeled as a small. I found a Milly dress labeled a small, only to find the treasure I’d discovered actually was labeled by Milly as a large, and fit like a large. In both cases I told the clerks, and in the Milly example they changed the tag, but to a medium. It’s a large! Why the wrong labels? It makes no sense. The point is, search all the racks because they might have hidden treasure that fits you, it’s just labeled wrong. Happy hunting!

Love this store!!! Workers are so friendly and even if I don’t find something it’s always a fun place to look around. I have both purchased and consigned here and they are very fair in prices and I’ve scored some fabulous deals! Only complaint is my allergies go crazy from all the closets in the one small space so if you are like me pop a Claritin or Zyrtec before embarking! Fun shopping place you won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoy coming to this store, great selection, high quality and lovely staff. I also had a great experience with selling my clothing items to them. A hidden gem in Redondo!

Even though this place can be a little pricey, they have a great collection of shoes jewelry purses and clothes! Many designer brands but not at designer prices. This is a regular stop on my thrift store jaunts. Check it out soon; I know I will!

I love going shopping for clothes here. I bought a pair of jeans with the tags still on them for $ 16 originally $ 80. What a deal. Just go with an open mind because you will be looking for a find and they will not always have your size. These are clothes that people sell because of many reasons. The good thing is this store is very picky about what they accept as inventory. All designer clothes if they are used and new if they are not designers.

Grrrrrrrrr, I never thought i will be back here but here it goes… a horrible experienced as last time.
I was looking for a rabbit sweater i seemed to have looked everywhere: goodwill, tj maxx and the list goes on, i was gonna give up until i remembered this thrift store crossed out from my «go stores» list, i thought they must have some angora sweaters considering they sell all these upscale things…
Ok so im back at the store, i walked in, there was no customers there just the people that work there, one younger woman and two older ladies, they saw me and didnt bother to greet me, i mean i normally give a sh#t to greet people, but its still a nice touch, must stores i go to speacilly small boutiques/​stores, people tend to be really courteous and overall friendly with their costumers, well NOT HERE.
After digging in i found a nice garment, i saw the older woman talking with i guess a friend of hers, she didnt bother to say ‘do you need help or anything’, NO, she kept chatting with her friend until i asked her «would you mind if i try this on?» she turned around and said «sure, ill get someone to open the fitting room’s door for you’» not in a nice manner either, sure i had just interrupted her chick chat.
So did i get the sweater? No. I liked it but… they really pissed me off with their LACK OF COSTUMER APPRECIATION.
So they didnt make me feel welcome here, but the exact opposite, employees with annoying arrogant attitute. We as costumers are doing them a favor shopping here, not the other way around, they sould learn some manners.

I visited Return Engagement for the first time yesterday and promptly fell in love with the store and it’s amazing staff!
The selection of clothing is both broad and deep, ranging from haute couture to hip and trendy, to fun and quirky. Everything has been well cared for and is presented in a way that you can shop the racks easily.
The date-​based pricing system is fair at all levels (WAAAY more than fair at the final markdown prices… like the mid-​mod Fendi handbag for $ 99 that I am coveting) and the staff is fun, friendly and helpful.
I picked up not one but TWO pairs of Donald J. Pliner shoes, one of them brand new (as in NEVER worn) for under $ 60 per pair! And if my wonderful friend hadn’t been there to help me exercise some self-​control, I would have blown my budget picking up all sorts of amazing treasures for my wardrobe.
If you love great clothes at great prices Return Engagement is for you!

I stopped in here for a minute to check the place out, since I was right down the street. I found a couple of good things — an Ann Taylor skirt with the tags still on it for $ 12.60, a cute little D&G dress for $ 23.20 and a pair of sunglasses for $ 7.00.
While I really liked the things I found, I really had to search for them. Not that I’m against that — any bargain hunter knows the value of digging for a treasure. What I’m really against however, is the attitude of the saleswomen here.
There were three older and one very young female employee working here when we walked in. Two of them were gossiping loudly and in a derogatory way about men with a couple of female customers, which immediately gave me a really yucky vibe. To make matters worse, the next thing I overheard was the young salesgirl comiserating about her cheating ex-​boyfriend, to which one of the customers replied «Just wait til you’ve gone through a few cheating husbands — they don’t change as they get older».
The young salesgirl looked around 17-​ish to me, so I was HORRIFIED that this is the message adult women are sending to her. But at that point, since it was a customer who said it, I couldn’t fault the store.
I can fault the store for this: I overheard all of that as I stood by the dressing rooms with a bunch of things to try on, waiting for someone to come over to let me in. Since the store itself is not large, I could definitely be seen from any angle of the place.
After waiting for several minutes, I interrupted yet another personal conversation (a female customer bragging to an employee about rudely blowing some guy off) at the register to ask if someone would let me in to the dressing room. The salesperson did break away from the customer to let me in.
While I was in the dressing room, I overheard another saleswoman just outside my door, openly flirting with a man who was there with a woman who was shopping.
Then when I went to pay, the woman who rang me up gave me THE most unfriendly look EVER.
One has to imagine that for all this to go on within the 45 minute span of time that I was there on a random Saturday, that there is some energy about the place that attracts and condones this behavior. Perhaps I got the look of death from the cashier because she could smell my respect for the opposite sex.
So basically, this is the perfect place to go if you have terrible boundaries, think men are awful, don’t have any friends with whom you can talk about your personal life, and are interested in digging for bargains.

This store is a little more old fashioned and they had less things I would buy in comparison to Always Fabulous (around the corner). Plus their consignment policies are a lot more strict.
As a warning: they don’t really consign many dresses here, especially dressy dresses. They do however like denim, especially designer jeans.
Call to check their consignment policies, they only consign on specific days, and they only take 8 (I think) items at a time. Items must be cleaned, pressed, hung, and bundled.
