Have gone here for years. However, the prices seem to have gone way up. I was just charged $ 25 to have (3) Hawaiian shirts dry cleaned … time to find another dry cleaner. I could buy a brand new Hawaiian shirt at Costco for that price!

Excellent service, great professional staff, and always delivered when they say they will deliver. Have been using this cleaner for more than ten years — they are steady and solid!

I am always nervous when trying out new dry cleaners when I move anywhere. I didn’t want to make the drive back to Irvine and tried Riviera out based on the reviews here.
I brought in slacks and dress shirts to be cleaned. My clothes came back cleaned as pressed as I expected.
My only gripe (which is a big one) is that they wrote my name on the front flap of my dress shirt. I know, I know, there was already a review with that gripe but I assumed they would have upgraded to the pins or stickers that everyone else seems to use now. When I brought this up to the lady, she said its how her sister likes to track things but that if I requested, that they would not do it next time. Kinda makes me nervous as to how they would track my clothes if they don’t write on them.

I don’t know about the dry cleaning but they sure do not know how to properly do alterations. I am surprised that others have had good experiences. Mine was awful. In August I had a strapless evening gown that needed to be shortened and straps added. When I went to pick it up and tried it on the hem was totally uneven and the straps very thick. It was very difficult to communicate with them until finally another woman who spoke English fluently intervened. They agreed to fix it yet when I went back again the hem was still uneven but was now practically a short dress! The straps were too short also. But the worst part was that throughout all of the entire time the alterations woman was rude and argumentative including trying to blame me for giving her the wrong instructions. I actually know how clothes are made, how to sew and could not believe that someone who calls herself a seamstress would try to shorten such a hem by cutting it off at the bottom then expect it to be even.
This second time the woman behind the counter (the owner?) tried to mediate but there was no way I was going to give them another chance, not only because of the apparent incompetence, horrible attitude and by this time I only had a short time left before the wedding. Fortunately in a panic I found Custom Clothing on PCH by Hawthorne who evened out the hem, although she had to shorten it to ankle length making it a cocktail dress, adjusted the straps and made it work for a reasonable price and in time.
If I could give less Riveria than one star I would.

Thank goodness for Riviera Quality Cleaners, seriously.

I am in charge of the white coats for my ER program. I am not just talking about one or two, but about 15 white coats that are difficult to manage.
I had passed by this place many times because of it’s convenient location on Avenue I, so while I got my Trader Joe’s/errands on at the village, I decided to drop my coats off.
The service was amaaaaaaaaazing and my coats looked brand new! I was really debating if I should buy new ones (cost $ 40 coat).
So of course I went crazy over this place and decided to get my important dresses altered. The alteration lady is so sweet and altered my dresses exactly the way I wanted them.
The tricky thing about most cleaners I’ve been to is that sometimes your clothes will come out worse or not as good as you would expect. And c’mon, we do last minute dry cleaning/​alteration for important events sometimes. The last thing you want is to not have a dress shirt/​dress look nice for that interview/​wedding/​etc.
This place is DEPENDABLE. I am forever grateful. The people in my program love how awesome the coats are. I am happy with all my altered clothes and that I have somewhere to go to for quality and service.

I used to live in Redondo Beach and RQC was (is) my family’s go-​to cleaners. I don’t even remember when or why we started going except growing up I just knew this was where we took our dry cleaning.
I moved a few years ago for work, but still have family & friends in Cali… and this is going to sound so bazaar, but I actually hoard my really important dry cleaning and take it back to Cali with me every time I visit for family events and such (I’m there quite often). I know… I give you full permission to judge me.
But there’s a reason! I’ve started doing this with my real expensive garments because I just don’t trust anywhere else! I’m actually writing this review because I had a bad experience at a cleaners in the neighborhood that I live in now, and was reminiscing the times when I used to take ALL of my dry-​cleaning to RQC without even thinking. I’m actually surprised there are so many reviews on here already! I didn’t even think RQC would’ve had a Unilocal page and I was going to create one for them :)
I work in the fashion industry so the care of my clothes is really important to me (personally & professionally). RQC no doubt has the best quality & prices for their services. My family and I have gotten everything from embroidered tops, suits, delicate lace fabrics, stained garments, coats and alterations done at RQC and they have never failed us. Also, I’m pretty sure the cleaners is a family business run by a very cute local Korean family who truly makes an effort to create a very comfortable/​trustworthy environment and relationship with their customers. Plus, I’m all for supporting the locals!
Oh yea… did I mention they’re a stone’s throw from the beach and my favorite local coffee shop (coffee cartel)?

Riviera Quality Cleaners not only provides a great dry cleaning service but maintains a clean establishment. I do like that they maintain a clean environment because I don’t want my dry cleaning done in a raggedy bum place. But as I walk in, I noticed how it is well maintained, unlike other shady cleaners that I have come to experience.
The service was superb and the workers were accommodating, as well as experienced. They provided great hospitality and a consistent satisfying dry cleaning service. The accommodations here are what make me appreciate the quality of service and for my return to this fine establishment.
The prices are standard or possibly better than other dry cleaning services.

I was in California for business and needed my suit dry cleaned ASAP for a meeting. The same day service saved my ass, and it was actually a pleasant experience. I’ll suggest this spot to all my California connects.

When I became a man I started to wear clothes that fit. Most off-​the-​rack clothing needs some adjustments to look its best and I get my pants and shirts tailored here. The value for their alteration service is superb.
I also decided since I’m a man now I should follow directions. So when it says «dry clean only» and I’m not feeling too lazy I’ll get it dry cleaned here. They take care of their stuff, no doubt.

When I used to live in Torrance, this was my go to cleaners. Five stars for their same day service. If you take it in by 10am, it’ll be done by 4pm the same day. Completely unheard of anywhere else!
So don’t be panicked when you’ve got a hot date the same night and stanky dresses that need to be dry cleaned or altered!
And it doesn’t hurt that their prices are totally reasonable and their service is great.

Finally, a place that irons bed sheets and doesn’t charge a fortune. $ 15.00 for 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. I think they actually send the sheets out.
Also, good prices on alterations. I take everything here to be altered even though it’s a bit of a drive for me. Can’t complain about the cleaning either.
Update 9/​13/​10 – Had some issues with alterations over the summer so I am (hopefully temporarily) deducting a star. Their regular person was out indefinitely and I had to take something back several times. I’ll give them another chance in this area because they did correct the problem and expedited the correction as I was traveling. Still liking the ironed sheets!

For some reason their «system» is to write your name on the inside flap of your shirts. Now if I wear a shirt un-​tucked my name in black permanent ink is showing for the world to see. They have no sign informing you they will ruin your shirts by writing on them nor do they inform you in any way that they will be damaging your clothes this way.

No reason not to award five stars, except that I have been a customer only once so far. They did a beautiful job on some old embroidered curtains & some vintage pillow shams. Everything is done on site, of course, & the people are experienced, intelligent, professional & efficient.
4÷4÷07: Update: I am now a regular customer, and am upgrading to 5 stars. They are experienced and knowledgeable and take good care of my things. I am completely satisfied.
