Seaside Ice is a family and community event located in the beautiful King Harbor of Redondo Beach, California. On November 10th, Seaside Ice will transform the Seaside Lagoon’s scenic beach area into a holiday wonderland.

Seaside Ice hosted over 25,000 skaters last year and expects 35,000 skaters and 100,000 total attendees this season, bringing ten weeks of for everyone to enjoy. Seaside Ice offers ice skating sessions, holiday lights, live music, DJ’s, films, special events and parties, Seaside Ice combines ice elements and ocean sunsets to create a very special setting for the entire family from November 10 — January 18 and is open on all holiday.

History

Established in 2008.

Tom Kearney of Pinch Hit Productions and Scott Williams of Turtle Island Productions created Seaside Ice, LLC.

Williams captured the Junior World figure skating title in 1982, won the 1990 World Professional Championship and 1991 U.S. Open. He performed in international tours and television specials before forming Turtle Island Productions to create and produce live and televised entertainment including the American Open, TLC’s Ice Diaries, and NBC’s Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular for White Canvas Productions. He has also coached internationally competitive skaters, including locals Amber Corwin and in 2003, world champion Michelle Kwan.

Kearney has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of 10. He worked as a stand up comic, which dovetailed, into writing, then directing and into producing. In 2002 Tom created Pinch Hit Productions, which produced Films, TV shows and commercials. Tom founded the Hermosa Beach Film festival, Hermosa Shorts
