Tri Lab is awesome! Nice selection of athletic clothes, lots of beautiful bikes and solutions to get you through any triathlon.
I went there during their Memorial Day sale when they offered a generous discount on all bikes and gear. They let me test ride a 2016 Felt IA 16 bicycle. The bike looked gorgeous and the ride felt super stable and stiff, I feel so tempted break my bank account. But the little voice in my head kept telling me, «No David! You don’t need it!»
They are the drop off place for Tri Bike Transport, a service that ships your bike to certain Ironman brand events in the United States. I primarily came here to talk with staff about using this service. Unfortunately Tri Bike Transport is prohibitively expensive. Total cost to transport my bike would have been $ 450 roundtrip. $ 350 base fee, plus $ 25 fee for my disc wheel and $ 75 for a padded wheel bag.

Marcus and the folks at Triathlon Lab did an amazing job setting me up with my new Felt Z85 and cycling gear. Their customer service and knowledge made for an excellent buying experience. I will be shopping here again.

By far, my favorite bike shop/​triathlon shop in all of Los Angeles. Whether I need a product or service they always have what a want and are very knowledgeable. Everyone has great customer service skills and is friendly. Every time I’ve been there I’ve had no problem getting help right away. Couldn’t recommend them more.

I was shopping for my brother-in-law’s gift and since I have zero knowledge of triathlons, the staff here was very helpful in helping me within my price range. They have a huge assortment of items, from bicycles, to swim gear, to energy bars and supplements, to training books and videos, to equipment backpacks, to elastic straps that hold the race number. I had kept the receipt just in case he wanted to exchange or return, but there was no need to – my brother-​in-​law was happy with what we gave him. Thank you, Triathlon Lab!

The store is PACKED with triathlon gear from fitness to nutrition. Cool items and a huge array of brands. Will and Marcus immediately greeted me. Saw a peek of their bike service/​repair facility too. Who knows, maybe this will be my first introduction to triathlon fitness. Visible from the street, there is lots of parking on the sides in their own private lot. Great shop!!!

During a training ride, the back sprocket on my bike took a dump on me, the gears became jumbled, and my crank seized. Less than ideal, at least it did not result in any type of crash.
Only one place to go with my Felt, back home to the Triathlon Lab for a tune-​up. The mechanic, Carlos did a great job. I almost forgot what it was like to have the shifter feel the click of a gear shift, or to have taut brakes. My bike again has that that ‘like new’ feel.
My experience was professional and thorough, all for under $ 40 — with my 10% off Unilocal check-​in discount. I make a decent drive to come to this location, that’s my endorsement.

I was reluctant to come here after reading some of the negative reviews, but a friend of mine told me she had a quick, pleasant experience so I gave it a try. My beach cruiser’s tires no longer held air and the chain was rusty. The shop is large and has lots of bikes and gear including clothing and shoes. Since I’m not a triathlete with a special racing bike, I wasn’t sure if this was the place to service my beach cruiser. I walked to the desk and was helped immediately. While I waited for 20 minutes, he fixed the tubes in the tires, lubricated the chain, and made a few other tweaks to the bike to make sure it was in tip-​top shape. The bill was under $ 25 and I couldn’t be more pleased. Also, while I was sitting in the little waiting area, one of the workers came in to ask if I had been helped. I appreciated that he didn’t just assume that I had been helped already and bothered to ask. This was a quick, easy, pleasant experience and I’ll be sure to recommend Tri to my fellow beach-​cruising friends.

These guys are the best! They are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to answer every question you may have. Thanks tri lab!

Our new found favorite bike shop! travelled 28miles to get here but it was worth it! we got a good deal on a cycle starter kit. all the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. they thought us all the basics of road biking and how to maintain our bikes. we got good deals on running stuff too. these guys are the real deal!.. will definitely come back! highly recommended!

The manager of that store is the deal breaker. Not going back. Lots of other Tri places in the area with awesome people that actually want your business.

Awesome place. called them for a part, in stock. so i ran down there to get it. super nice place. lots of high end bikes, road and tri stuff. no MTB or BMX here, all road race stuff. lots of parts, lots of wheels cycling clothes, tri stuff, wet suits, helmets, shoes, clothing. very good selection. felt. cervelo, etc. prices are normal. they do bike fitting, and full shop work. guys i talked to were great, very helpful, knew what they were doing. very nice place, ill be back…

I came in on a Sunday afternoon hoping to find someone who I could talk to about triathlon gear. To no avail I was stuck to explore the store on my own with not one person coming to ask if I needed help…
I have an upcoming race for the LA tri and I wanted to get either a tri suit or some tri pants. I was barely was able to get some service and thats because I literally had to chase some guy down. When I asked about products that I were interested in I got very quick responses which honestly didn’t help much.
The worker with red hair who was wearing a hat when I came seemed like a very diligent worker. He was the most available so I was able to slip a question or two on him. The other workers don’t seem like they do much. I literally saw two people in the back by the changing room the whole time I was at the store. They just helped a guy with a wet suit fitting question and that seemed like that’s all they did.

Nothing but good things to say about these guys. Ive been riding for a while, trail, mountain a little road and I finally decided to get a newer road bike. Ive been to many stores that carry the brands that im partial to and I settled on Tri-​Lab.
I do alot of window shopping and browsing before a big purchase and Ive must of went in at least 3 times to browse and ask questions. I did my research and had it narrowed down to a few models. Every time I was greeted and treated well and all the guys had no problems answering my questions ranging from just basic talk to technical.
When I was ready to purchase I was presented with a excellent deal and a test ride. I was properly fitted and the owner and his crew gave me a plethora of helpful advice and tips pertinent to my purchase. Needless to say, I felt very confident about the purchase with them and plan on coming back to pick up a few more things next week.

Lucky to have a local Triathlon shop with a great staff. They’ve always been very helpful and courteous. With so many choices and options it’s nice to have someone knowledgeable give some advice and recommendations. I never felt they were trying to «sell» me things. It seem like they were sincerely trying to help. Prices are good too!

I walked in thinking this was a bicycle shop where I could purchase a carbon fiber bike. I think they are actually drug smugglers though because they sure don’t seem to want anyone to come in and buy anything. They couldn’t possibly be a bike store since it’s so obvious they are eager to turn people away.
Ok maybe it was me? I don’t know anything about bikes I just know that I wanted a bike with a synthetic frame. Maybe it was my stupid questions or my tendency to ask about the cheapest items in the store to warm up to what I am really interested in. No that’s not it at all. It’s because i wasn’t looking for heroin. If I had been looking for heroin I bet that guy who claimed to be the owner would have done back flips to the stock room to fetch me a fix of their latest import. Instead I asked about a carbon fiber bike he had and he just couldn’t be bothered to tell me anything about it.
Read all the other reviews. Many tell the same story. Why open a store if you aren’t interested in selling anything? I predict these guys will not be open for business for very long. Unless the crack heads are aware of their ruse.

My wife and I have very conflicting work schedules, so it was hard to get in there at the same time. We came in on a Sat about an hour before they closed. Everyone was very nice. Matt helped us mostly, and he was awesome. He stayed 40 minutes after closing and never did we feel like we were keeping him. He answered all of our questions, took his time and we had a great experience. I’ll be returning for my tri needs, and assuming my wife loves the sport like I did after my first tri, she’ll be back as well.

Their customer service is seriously lacking. I called to see if they had a specific item in stock. The man that answered the phone told me he believed they did. I wanted him to check (you know his job) before I went in. He didn’t like this. When I asked him how much they were, he mumbled. I said, «what?». He rudely announced the price again loudly with attitude, and then literally hung up on me! I will most certainly take my business elsewhere.

The Triathlon Lab is a hidden little gem in the South Bay.
I am gearing up for a Triathlon in San Diego later this year and stopped in today to check out their new bicycles. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Triathlon Lab offers a package deal which consists of a bicycle, wetsuit, helmet, backpack, running gear and several other bells and whistles for a mere $ 995.00.
This store isn’t cheap but if you are serious about testing yourself, testing your endurance and testing your internal kill switch (you know that little voice in your head that tells you to stop) then you must check out the Triathlon Lab.
Not only does the Triathlon Lab provide everything from your basic models to your elite bicycles they also offer wetsuits, running gear, helmets, shoes, locking peddles and heck they even sell beach cruiser.
You could drive by this place and never know it was there so be on the lookout. The Triathlon Lab offers ‘free’ parking just adjacent to their front doors (private lot).
The staff here is top notch and willing to help and answer any question you may have regarding their equipment. I even posed a question to one of the employees on duty and they told me where I could find a cheaper product and you do not find that level of service just anywhere.
I will be back in a couple of weeks and I will be purchasing the ‘package’ deal.
