History

Established in 1994.

*T’s Toe Rings & Gifts* was started by Tanya in 1994 on the Redondo Beach Boardwalk. In 1994, only one customer at a time could fit into the shop. Tanya’s mother Joy began running the business the following year. Since her suppliers couldn’t keeping up with demand, Sione (Joy’s husband) began handcrafting the rings in 1995. Years passed, & the shop grew. Tragically, in 2001 Joy passed away, so Sione continued the business alone. Time passed; & with the help of good friends & trustworthy part-​time employees the shop continued to flourish. In 2004, Adrianne became Store Manager. By 2006, Sione & Adrianne were running the store as Husband & Wife. By then, the shop was carrying handicrafts & jewelry handmade by the newlyweds, & their overseas family from Tonga & Fiji. In 2010, the shop moved up to the Redondo Beach Pier. Grateful to generations of their devoted friends & customers, the Taufa family is thankful that although they may never be rich, they are never hungry.

This is a Mom & Pop store. There is only two of us. And mostly it is just my husband because of my health problems. My husband makes all of the toe rings by hand. He makes them by the thousands, and he is our main sales person. I make the Island Sandals, jewelry, misc. arts & crafts, postcards, and packaging designs for various little things throughout the shop. I also do the cleaning, the displays and stocking.

We are not perfect, we are just human. And we cannot please everyone all the time. Although we strive hard to be both perfect and please everyone — it is impossible. The reviews on this site are taken personally, and do sting more than they should. To those who are disappointed, or not happy I would hope that you talk to us personally before you post your angry or unhappy thoughts permanently for public consumption. Sincerely, Adrianne
