This place is now called Maria’s. A small coffee, snacks and sandwich shop. I walked in looking to see what it’s all about. It’s a bit on the warm side as there’s no air circulation. The woman working there didn’t speak English so I had to use my terrible Spanish. Me: Una Coca por favor? Her: Una Coca? Me: Si She nods and rings it up. She asked me if I needed the bottle opener(but I dindnt quite understand except from the motioning) since it was a bottled Mexican Coke. Me: Si, si… Gracias, Buenas Tardes. That interaction seemed like an eternity since my Spanish is all food focuses. She seemed nice enough, but who knows what secret food goodness may have been hidden had I been fluent. I guess Ill have to come back with a chaperone next time
