This business was started by My uncle Ben and His son Eddie. They took the time to get it started and take care of all of there customer’s.

I started working on cars at the age of 11. My father had a shop in Daly city. I started going there in the summers to help out and learn. In High school I took auto shop, and was also taking night classes at skyline in automotive technology. I was always interseted in cars, built my first car at 13, took 3 years to put it together. When my father closed the shop because we lost the lease, I worked at a Ford dealer for 3 years. I left the Ford dealer to learn about german cars, so I took a job at an Audi dealer. I was there for four years and decided to help out my uncle ben with his business.

Victor did an amazing job. I had a part that was not made anymore and non of the dealers had it in their system. He called around and found it. Not even available at the junk yard. I don’t do a lot of Unilocal recommendations, but he was worth letting people know.

20 years I have been bringing my cars to Ben’s auto tech specifically so Victor could work on them… I have had four Audis two Ford Explorer’s and now a Porsche and I would trust no one else except Victor. $ 120/​hr?! I’m a college student so this obviously isn’t an option for me. I told them what I needed fixing and they still insisted on doing a costy diagnosis. It’s an EVAP system… I guess their rate is good if you don’t have the time, but have the money.

Great shop — Victor is extremely knowledgable and honest. Its no wonder why other shops send their cars to him when they run into problems. I bring all my cars to Vic and could not be happier — I’ll never go anywhere else. I don’t think there’s anything car related that he can’t do. Really affordable too — way cheaper than the other shops and more importantly he gets to the problem faster than anyone else so you save on diagnostic time.

Victor is a great guy, and no-​nonsense, very skilled repairman. I highly recommend him. My car is a 2002 Audi A4. It’s getting a little old, and Victor has provided good repair work, and really good advice on what to do about issues that crop up.

This place is my «go to place» when I need my car fixed. Victor has been working on my car for about a year or 2 now. He’s straight up, He never upsells anything and is very honest when it comes to repairs. Iv’e had my tranny replaced, brakes, O2 sensors done + my regular maintenance done here.
Get dealer quality service without the high dealer prices.

Victor has a new fan! I needed the battery replaced URGENTLY and my regular repair shop was closed. After searching for audi certified repair shops, I stumbled upon Ben’s. I called and asked 1) they could replace it today and 2) how long it might take. He estimated 15 minutes and told me I could come in whenever. Sure enough, it took just about 15 minutes! He also reprogrammed all of the settings that had been reset upon removing the battery. He was incredibly thorough– checking the windows, radio, seat settings and reprogramming my key.
According to a plaque hanging in the office, Victor has been Audi certified since 1994 and has another ceritification from 2004. After just this brief visit, I would definitely trust him to take care of any future issues.

I was referred to Ben’s by another mechanic when they were unable to diagnose the check engine light on my 2001 VW Golf. From the moment I arrived at Ben’s, I felt comfortable. Victor assured that he would diagnose the problem and give me a call once he knew what the issue was. My car was done the very next day. The price was not at all expensive, I even think he gave me a break on the price for the part. In addition, he offered me a great deal to smog it once he cleared the check engine light. Victor gave me recommendations on how to take care of the car. You can really tell that he looked at it in great detail and got to know the car while it was in the shop.
They have the sweetest dog that greets you at the office and two amazing African Grey Parrots.
I will definitely bring my VWback to Ben’s Auto Tech!

I’ve been going to this shop since Ben owned it. Vick is a great mechanic and a greater guy. I wouldn’t think of taking any of my cars to anyone but Vick. You can look for a better mechanic but you won’t find one. His parents deffinitely raised him right. Makes sure you say hello to his dog Star while you’re at it.

I am the mayor of Palo Alto so some people will undoubtedly complain that I didn’t go to a PA autoshop. Also, I never write reviews, but I am taking this time because I got such great service here. My car died on 101 and I tried a few auto places in PA but they couldn’t take my car right away. Ben’s was the first place that came up when I searched on Bing — just luck. Victor was clear and honest. In the end, the problem wasn’t as severe as he had guessed before opening up the engine, so it ended up costing LESS than the estimate. All around great experience.

Honest Honest Honest. This place had a prime opportunity to rip me off and DID NOT. I used to be a little handy with the wrench as a youngster and knew a bit about the problem I was having. In more recent years, I cant seem to find the time to keep up on the vehicle maintenence as much. I decided to check out Ben’s auto tech per a friends recomendation but decided to keep my opinions to myself, partly to not seem like a know it all and partly to test the honesty. It is a great pleasure to announce not only were they honest about the situation, but charged me only half what it was worth as Victor said it was no big deal and he appreciated my business. Looks like I might have used my own wrenches for the last time.

Victor the owner is a really great guy. He really goes out of his way to explain what is wrong with your car. He is honest, his prices are great and he is very accommodating.
As a super bonus, he has a tow truck and was able to pick up our car for us so we didn’t have the added headache of finding a towing company.
Also, he is ALWAYS busy and that speaks for itself ;o)
