They provide painting, cleaning, hauling, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing (deck and fence staining). Why call several companies when we can do it all. We specialize in move out cleaning, which means we are very thorough! We clean behind the refrigerator and oven and under the washer/​dryer. We are professional and reliable and feel that communication and hard work is the key to making you happy. We are licensed and insured and offer free estimates and a full guarantee.

Established in 2004.

Callaway Cleaning & Painting was started in 2004 by Alexander Callaway Chriss. We first started with large apartment buildings such as Archstone & Avalon and as the business grew we started offering our service to high end clients like the Bing Crosby estates and cities like Redwood city and San Francisco.

I found this company on Unilocal and called for a rain gutter cleaning quote. I got my call returned and everything went smoothly from there on out. Alex came and took pics of what he witnessed up on the roof, which demonstrated his thoroughness. He explained everything clearly and I appreciated the care he took in doing the work. We asked him to do additional work including helping to remedy rusty water coming out of the rain pipes. I felt very well informed about all options and really just enjoyed working with him. I’d definitely recommend Alex for whatever you need because he’ll put in time to research the best solution for you if he doesn’t know off the top of his head (as was the case with our particular rusty gutter issue). I’d trust Alex to do any kind of work that he says he does. If he doesn’t feel like he’ll do a good job he would tell you. My one critique is that he left a bag filled with the contents of our gutters in front of our house to show how much stuff there was, which I can understand his wanting to do, but for me personally the photos were enough! :)

I will definitely recommend Alexander for gutter cleaning services. He just cleaned our house this morning. It was a great experience working with him. It was very smooth and easy contacting him and scheduling for the cleaning. He arrived promptly on the service day, did a quick walkthrough, gave me some quick pointers in terms of overall maintenance, and started his work quickly. It took him about 30 – 40 minutes to finish the cleaning. He took pictures before and after cleaning to show me what has been done, and if there is anything potential maintenance in the future. And I feel the price he charged was very reasonable.

I was referred to Alex when I asked a friend if he had a gutter cleaning referral he could pass along. I checked around with a couple other companies and when Alex told me his price and that he sends before and after picture I was pretty much sold. Once the job was complete I was so happy I got them cleaned since they were filled with so much dirt, moss and baseballs! He did an outstanding job and I’m already bragging and showing friends the pictures!

Absolutely incredible work. We used Callaway to clean a 130 year old Victorian house that was used as a rental. The previous tenants destroyed the house with filth and needed a serious cleaning from the floors to the ceiling. Alexander was extremely professional and efficient. He took time to work carefully on original woodwork and ornate plasterwork. His work speaks for itself and this house is beautiful again. Hands down the best work in the bay area.

As a Realtor who has an established team of professionals to prepare a home for sale, I found myself in need of a professional cleaner when my go-​to company had to cancel due to an emergency at the very last minute. I was referred to Alexander by a colleague and he certainly did not disappoint! Although communication and scheduling was iffy in the beginning, when we finally did connect, it was smooth sailing. He and his crew were efficient, professional, ON TIME, hyper detailed and worked under a strict timeline — all with the chaos that went along with stagers being in the house. Alexander was wonderful to work with. In the beginning, we had a little bit of trouble connecting with each other on the phone. However, when we finally were able to meet so that he could give me an estimate on my post construction clean up, I was very impressed with his knowledge and his plan of action for cleaning my whole house after almost a year and a half of remodeling so that we could move in that following weekend. On the day of, Alexander and Jose came bright and early to start the work. They worked almost 8 hours on cleaning the entire house. They cleaned every single room. After they were done, It was so good to finally see my house as a house and not a construction zone. Overall, I’m pleased with their work. They worked hard on cleaning up everything. However, there were some spots that they missed but what I can expect… the whole house was really filthy and dusty from all the remodeling plus I’m anal clean. If I had to clean the house myself, it would have taken at least a week to clean! Alexander saved me the trouble so that I could concentrate on packing and moving. Thanks Alexander! Keep up the good work :)

From the first phone call to the last text message I have been completely satisfied with my experience with Callaway Cleaning. We are moving, and after our house was empty Alexander and his assistant came to do a thorough cleaning of our home. Every detail was attended to. Every inch of the kitchen was scrubbed clean, the refrigerator was disassembled and cleaned inside and out, the baseboards in every room wiped clean, ceiling fans… really every inch of the house was polished.
In addition to the fine work done, I was impressed with their professionalism and extremely helpful attitudes.

Great working with Alexander and his team.
He primed/​painted our gutters and painted over new stucco spots. Also stained our fence Took photos before and after, was fast yet thorough, and super easy to work with.
Very friendly, helpful, consultative, and even drove around to a few different paint stores to make sure everything matched properly. Very reasonable and would definitely recommend him (and use him again).

I scheduled a noon gutter cleaning with Alexander. He gave me a call once he was on his way and arrived on-​time. He explained the process clearly and then went to work. Once completed, he invited me up to the roof to take a closer look of the work he did and he also provided some feedback on what he found (clogging due primarily to runoff of composite roof, not from leaves). He suggested that we didn’t need gutter cleaning as often as others and that gutter guards weren’t all that necessary but would help some. He said he would follow-​up via email with a quote on gutter guard installation so we can consider it at a later date. No hard sales push. Gutters look. spotless. Highly recommend!

Alexander and his team are great. Really professional, really responsive and friendly. We hired them to do a deep cleaning of a new house we were moving into. Even though the house had already been through a deep cleaning, I am incredibly meticulous and like things *really* clean, especially a new home. They did a really great job, getting into nooks and crannies that not even a near-​OCD person like myself would have known to clean. Granted, once in a while, I will notice little things that were overlooked, but that is just nitpicking into really minute issues. After their clean, everything felt SO much cleaner, noticeably so. If they can satisfy a neat freak like myself I think pretty much anyone would be happy with their services.

Alex and crew have always been there for me in a pinch. Whether it’s super detailed cleaning job or a BIG job Callaway Cleaning has always come through. Admittedly, I’m a clean freak, and was super pleased to find that so is Callaway Cleaning in their impeccable ability to conduct the detailed work that most cleaners would simply glance over.
