Specialties

Pizza and Pipes specializes in some of the best pizza around, quality toppings, fresh vegetables delivered every week from local produce and meat distributers. We also have amazing hot sandwiches and pastas. There are some really good vegetarian options as well, several vegetarian pizza specialties, sandwiches, and salads. We have fun for the entire family here at Pizza and Pipes with lots of video games to chose from, pool tables, air hockey, and six flat screen tvs. So come on down and cheer on our local sports teams 49ers, Giants, Warriors, and don’t forget the SHARKS. Our current fans for 49ers are great, and are loud. We often have a full house here for the game so if your looking for a place to get great food, beer, and watch the games come on down to Pizza and Pipes in Redwood city.

History

Established in 1962.

In October 1962, Bill Breuer signed a lease in Santa Clara and started making delious pizzas. He named the place Captain’s Galley Pizza and Pipes. With a nautical theme and a 1920s era Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ people could enjoy music while they dined. Bill operated his restaurant through the 60s and 70s, and along the way opened several restaurants in Campbell, Redwood City, Daly City, Fresno, Sacramento, Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellevue.

Bob Paterson bought the four bay area restaurants from Bill in November 1979. The Campbell and Daly City locations closed when leases expired. Randy Blair purchased the Santa Clara and Redwood City location. In 2001 Randy sold the amazing pipe organ then sold the Redwood City location to Ajay Walia. In 2011 Ajay sold Pizza and Pipes to new owners Adam Rifkin, Michelle Rifkin and Jenefer MacSwain together with manager Nick Castro they are bringing Pizza and Pipes back like its heydays.
