In the tire business since 1981. Owner of Five Points since 1993. Mark was raised in Redwood City, attended Sequoia High School and graduated from San Jose State in 1988. Mark has been in the tire business «full time» since then.

I called this morning at 8:30 and spoke to Mark (nicest person ever) told him what I need — he said «those are in stock come on down» — I arrived 5 min later, Mark greeted me and my brand new 4 tires were on my car in less than 1 hour. Great service — the only place my family goes for new tires.

You can tell they put customer service first. Really fantastic and quick. Price is higher than what I’d like but for the courteous way they treated me, I’ll pay for that. I would come here again if I get a flat tire in the future. Highly recommended.

I owe these guys a review as I’ve taken several vehicles here throughout the years. Just this past month, my Mini Cooper gave me the «Your Tire is Low» warning a little too often for my taste, so I took my car in thinking maybe I needed new tires. The guy took a look and told me my tires had plenty of life but that he would be happy to have one of the technicians measure the pressure and fill them up as needed. The tires all had different pressures and they filled them up and sent me on my way.
I don’t drive very often (15K miles on a three year old car) so he told me to get a gauge and check it once a month. I’m so grateful these guys are around. They seem to be interested in doing the right thing rather than selling unnecessary products. When I do need new tires, I will definitely go back.

I brought my car in for an alignment after getting new tires. It was super easy to make an appointment. When I brought the car in, they began working on it right away. Great customer service and even donuts for the customers. After that visit I brought the car back to get my wheels re-​balanced. Manny and Jose took care of it in less than 30 minutes and didn’t even charge me! Five Points Tire has a customer for life.

I’ve gotten all my tires from these guys for years. And today they saved my posterior by being able to fix a flat tire at 5:15pm on a Friday — whew! It took just 20 minutes and they rotated my tires, too. Courteous, professional, reasonable — they know both tires and great service.

I picked up a nail in my tire and my mechanic told me to go see the guys at 5 Point Tire. They were great! I showed up mid day and my wait was less than an hour to get my tire fixed. Price was reasonable the place was clean and the staff was super nice. They made sure my tires were all equal in pressure before I got back on the road. I’m glad I went. This is a shop I’ll use again!

I had a tough problem to solve with a screw being too close to the sidewall. They told me that they couldn’t do it, and I asked for an explanation from the manager. Rather than talk to me, he avoided me, which I was very disappointed with. While I don’t blame them for their decision, I thought they could have been more professional about it.

This group has done a great job of replacing the tires on all our cars. They have always had our tires in stock, and they replace them usually within an hour. I think their prices are fair, and they are very efficient. They do free tire rotation for the life of the tires. They also have snow chains when it’s that time of year.

You can wait inside while they work on your vehicle. They have comfy chairs (even a rocking chair), fresh brewed coffee, tv and newspapers. Great customer service. They even let me know if any of my tires need to be replaced soon. Such good folks! Highly recommend them!

Bottom line: Very professional, friendly service, prompt, reasonable prices.
My car was slowly losing pressure in one of its rear tires. Costco wouldn’t do anything as they aren’t from them, but they suggested I go to Five Points (thank you!). Five Points was fantastic! They were very busy, but they told me they’d have the car ready in an hour when I showed up with kids in tow. I expected the diagnostic only in an hour, but they actually diagnosed AND fixed in an hour despite being very busy. And, they were SO friendly, professional and courteous. Finally, they fixed my expensive tire for a mere $ 40. I will DEFINITELY recommend to friends and go back when I need help with my tires again.

Five Points Tire was recommended to me by Portola Valley Garage. I dropped into the tire shop in the morning for two new tires. Mark gave me a few options and quotes, and I was out of the shop with my new tires in about half and hour. The guys were GREAT! I will be going back for any of my tire needs.

Manny is a gem and the other guys are great too, but watch out for the old guy behind the counter. He will take your key and then forget to have someone work on the car. Besides that, Five Points is the best tire ship in the Bay Area. They do excellent work and their prices are comparable to other shops that do not do such good work.
