Established in 1984.

Bay Creek Dental Care is the dental office of Dr. Glenn Lew, who has been practicing in Redwood City since he took over the office from Dr. Stephen Des Georges who ran the practice from 1951 – 1984. We have been continually serving some of our patients for over 60 years.

Dr. Lew has created a state of the art dental facility with a wonderful team of dedicated professionals. We provide a wide range of services including comprehenisive dental care including family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and Invisalign. To help you stay comfortable we can provide nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and Dr. Lew is licensed to provide Conscious Sedation (oral medications) to help you relax.

Dr. Glenn Lew is one of the most experienced family and cosmetic dentists on the San Francisco Peninsula. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and earned his dental degree at Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He has practiced in Redwood City since 1984 and lives in San Francisco with his wife and two sons. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. His outside interests include music (guitar, ukulele and bass), umpiring for Redwood City Little League and community service through his membership in the Woodside Terrace A.M. Kiwanis Club.

My brain makes automatic, random associations, such as:

Once again, I’ve come to edit the last association thanks to Dr. Lew and his staff. I am sitting here, with a numbed mouth from a recent cavity filling, PAIN FREE.
Come again? The cavity filling was sans pain.
I dread, dread cavity feelings because my childhood dentist had been a sorcerer of sorts. In contrast, Dr. Lew is very understanding of my uneasiness. In fact, he and his associate explained the filling procedure step-​by-​step. I even requested to have the TV on to distract myself.

Dr. Lew and his staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! I’ve been going to them for almost twenty years and they’ve always taken great care of me. You could not ask for a better dental experience.

From Glenn Lew: «It turned out that due to insurance plan limitations that were not shared with us by the insurance carrier…»
That statement is misleading because the office staff did not call my insurance carrier to verify the out of pocket cost to the client. They merely used a general payment document that clearly stated at the top that the information was incomplete. The ladies up front also told me that I would not have to pay more than their estimated amount because they had confirmed with my insurance carrier.
Bottom line to Dr. Lew– your office did not check with my insurance company and merely relied on a document that was clearly labeled incomplete. Nor did the ladies inform me of the possible discrepancy in out-​of-​pocket cost that I would incur if their estimate was inaccurate. I relied, in good faith, on your employees, and they failed. Yet you still refuse to accept responsibility which shows what kind of service provider you are.
It’s unfortunate that your office would haggle with a client over such a nominal amount. This minor issue has cost your office much more in time and inconvenience than the $ 29 you were so adamant about keeping… and I disputed that amount with my credit card company so your office won’t even get that.
I hope it was worth it.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and appropriate dental treatment. My staff followed the usual process to provide a good faith estimate of the insurance coverage and costs to the patient. Based on this complaint, my office manager researched the claim to find out why there was a discrepancy. It turned out that due to insurance plan limitations that were not shared with us by the insurance carrier, the actual charges were $ 29 more than the estimate. I’m sorry that Rick B was dissatisfied, but we did our best to provide an accurate estimate.

When you think of a dentist most of the time we are fearful (let’s be honest some of us adults are too), but the moment you walk through Bay Creek Dentals door your perspective changes! As soon as you walk in you are be greeted by Colette or by Christina they have the funniest personalities I’ve ever seen at a dental office. These two ladies are great! Their office feels a little like home and once its your turn to see Dr. Lew or Ruth you will not be dissapointed, they will explain everything beforehand and will give you the best dental experience!

Their office is a friendly, family-​feel environment. After a bad experience at my last dentist, I found Redwood Dental and loved it. They did not push any services on me, nor did they recommend any additional work I didn’t need (my previous dentist recommended a ton of work, which is why I left)
Hygienist Ruth has the lightest touch — no pain felt during cleaning. The dentist was so friendly and chatty. The whole office felt like a family.
They even offered a free polishing before my wedding next month!

Before I went to this dentist, Dr. Lew, I hated dentists. I associated the word dentist with terror and pain. I interviewed him first and he was nice, knowledgeable and, importantly, up to date on latest and best practices/​techniques and research. He is also always continually learning. His staff is so-​o nice. Though I am an adult I am still or was terrified when I went in for a dental appointment. One person there first helped me as I sat in the chair, Collette. She was and is so nice. I will never forget how her niceness kept me from fleeing the place at the first couple of visits. She is now the business manager, and I see how nicely and carefully she helps people arrange financial matters. Mryna, the scheduler is also conscientious and very nice. Dr. Lew referred me to a superb orthodontist, Dr. Gabriella Thodos. I recommendhim, and her, most highly. The dental assistants have all been great as well. You and your teeth receive the best possible care in something I thought was impossible in a dentist’s office: an enjoyable environment. And, no one told me to write this or even knows I am writing it.

I went to see Dr. Lew on rave reviews from my friend and he certainly lived up to expectations. Dr. Lew is a gentle, thorough dentist who is extremely knowledgeable. During our appointment, he asked questions and explained things about my teeth that I had literally never heard before from any of my other dentists. That’s when I realized that he was in a class of his own. The entire staff is amazing. Colette, the office coordinator, worked with me for a year to get a refund from my former dentist. I’d highly recommend that you give Dr. Lew a visit if you need any kind of dental service.

Super gentle, very nice and friendly dentist and staff!!! These guys are top notch, from the second you walk in the door (for the 1st or 50th time), they are all smiles, know your name, your spouse/​kids’ names and ask how everyone is doing. VERY nice, customer-​service oriented people. Whenever I’ve had big work done, Dr. Lew or Colette have called me the next day to check in and make sure I’m feeling okay. I’ve never had such a great experience with a dental practice before in the 20+ years I’ve been an adult!
I am a person who hates going to the dentist, but I am so confident in Dr. Lew’s skill and abilities and appreciate how gentle he is with the shots (big phobia of mine!), that I am as relaxed as can be when I go in there. He takes time to explain what he’s doing and why, he’s extremely patient, and doesn’t make you feel bad about asking questions etc.
They have taken VERY good care of me in the 4 years I’ve been going there and the work I’ve had done is second-​to-​none. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone to this wonderful dental office. You’re among friends here.

Feels weird writing a review for a dentist, but Dr. Lew is awesome! He’s thorough, nice, explains everything he’s doing, and is up to date on the latest science (and has the latest equipment it seems). And his staff is great too. Really nice & on the ball.
The only thing is they’re VERY diligent about reminding you about the 6 month checkup. I guess it’s good but I feel a little hounded sometimes.
But I can’t complain if the only thing wrong is they’re being too proactive. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Lew!
